  The Fax feature cover was available on older versions of the HP software and later has been deleted, I fear it is not available in the version of the software provided for Windows 7.

  'To' is not a configurable option. This information will appear on the end of the receiver. It is actually attached to the contact that you enter in.

  For example, "Mary" will appear in the field 'To' once the fax is sent successfully.

  I am trying to create a field in a Fax cover sheet PDF that fills automatically the total number of pages in the PDF file.

  I use the PDF as a template and then add more pages than necessary.  There is a field that says "Pages including the cover sheet", which I would like to '1' as a default, but change the number of pages that I add to the PDF document.

  It is possible, but you must place the code in a place that will trigger when you wish. Options include an "Update" button that you create for this purpose, the opening event of the Page of the cover page, in which case it will be triggered when you revisit the cover page, bookmark, etc.. The script might look like:

  // Update the value of the page counter field
  getField("page_counter").value = numPages;
  

  Where 'page_counter' is the name of the field.

  There is no kind of event as "Page was added", so it is not quite as automatic as you can.

  Hi Ashish, thanks for the answer...

  I discovered that, for some reason, the fields defined by the cover page

  model are not filled until I have click on 'send '.

  I tested sending a fax to a destination to nowhere, and then view the fax in the

  box of shipment, and all the information is present

  Not an ideal situation, but now I know to check the content as I type it

  rather than depend on the preview function

  much obliged!

  "I have Win 7"Windows Fax and Scan " running on all my computers from client domian.  Security for each user on the domain is configured to contain MS SBS 2003 Active Directory security group 'operators of Fax.

  Windows Fax and Scan starts and reads the Fax Server Inbox perfectly, however, I get an error message whenever I start a new fax.

  "Unable to retrieve pages of coverage associated with selected account.

  Evern after I added a cover Page to each client the same error appears.

  Any ideas out there?

  If you open Windows Fax and Scan and click on tools and then click Fax accounts, there is an option to remove all the accounts listed.  After you have done this, you can configure a different account.

  You can try uncheck Windows Fax and Scan via Control Panel / programs and features / turn Windows Features on or off / printing and document Services / Windows Fax and Scan.  This allows to uninstall it.  You restart and then reverse steps to reinstall.

  The location setting you mention could be a location tab, which is available by right clicking and selecting Properties on some of the user folders.  The folder at this location, for example. C:\Users\Usernamexxxx

  You must correct any problems with your Fax Modem, before you can do a lot of fax.  Maybe deleting and reinstalling that will help or verification of the Windows 7 drivers?

  I was looking at my manual, but I don't see any information on how to fax multiple pages at a time.  I have to keep the Redial and going though all this, and it will only send one page at a time.  Can anyone here tell me how more than a fax?  It is the 6700 OfficeJet and I usually use the copier part to send it.

• Fax multiple pages in the ADF

  When you try to FAX several pages, I load in the ADF of my 6700 printer and start fax.

  After that some Fax pages with success, get a printout showing ERROR 346. It also indicates that a communication error occurred during the transmission.

  This doesn't seem to be a random problem, but occurs whenever I try to fax multiple pages. In addition, the same thing happens with different recipients.

  I've never run into that until I started to use my 6700 printer. Previously, when you use a fax, it never happened.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  I noticed your post on the 346 error code that you receive when you send a fax to multiple pages of your 6700 JO. Here is a screenshot of the definition of the error code and a link to the Web site to interpret the error codes in the future. The suggestion is to change the speed to slow and disable the ECM which may help you!

  Any device of inkjet HP with a charger will only supply multiple sending, not flat glass.

  For such a need, it is not supported, but you can work around by scanning your PC.

  Open the HP scanning software and scan the pages of the glass of the scanner to the computer as a PDF, use the button "+" under the preview of the scan to scan additional pages, once you have une fois que vous avez termine finished click Save.

  Open the scanned file and print, select the fax printer queue instead the standard queue and send the fax from the computer.

  It is only possible workaround for such.
