Fax HP Officejet 4500 Wireless will not send fax

I am able to run the fax configuration and get a result that has passed the test of fax. This test succeeded even with no connection to my phone line. It made me look like a phone line was not necessary, but the answer to another problem related to the fax on a wireless unit posted on this forum very claims all-in-one wireless on doesn't have a phone line.

At various times I could go to the HP Solution Center and select send a fax and received indications that the machine was trying to do (according to a status window which appeared). I have enen hear fax tones. But in the end, an error message appears.

Earlier when I go to the center of Solution and select fax nothing happens. The front status screen reads Original charge.

I tried to use the front panel for iniitiate a fax test fax HP (hp 1 888 faxne) line which tells me a fax sent me with a result no answer. However, the page intended for use as a test page has not been analyzed and transaction report tells me the Fax Send report is set to Off.

I'll see if I can learn how to change this setting in the setup of the fax machine. I have to deal with multiple problems.

Hi writchey88,

I would like to help.  For your printer 'Wireless' means you can send print jobs to the printer wireless.  You will always need a telephone cable connecting the printer to a socket in order to send a fax.  You will not have a problem of fax.  Knowledge is to connect a 2-wire telephone cord to the line 1 of the printer and the other end into a telephone jack.  Run a test fax and if everything goes, try to send a test fax.

A.m. to run a test fax, press the button 'key', then arrow to the right until you get to Tools, press OK, right arrow until you see Run the Test Fax and press OKClick here for more information on the Fax test report.   Let me know how it goes and we can solve the problems from there if necessary.

Good luck!

  • One of the usual questions again - officejet 4500 Wireless will not copy...

I have read all the post and tried many solutions, nothing works.  I get the message "unable to scan, fax, copy.   I'm at my wits end.  If there is something new or something that I missed about the resolution of this probem, I'd be grateful if someone could post. Thank you very much.

    Hi LizK1,

This error message indicates a failure of scan.  It is difficult to overcome.  If you did not, try to do a Hard Reset as described in the following link.  Click here

If this does not help, you might try to do a complete Reset of the Semi.  If successful, this reset the default printer and clear the memory.  If the printer was on a wireless network, it should be removed and would need to be reconnected.  If you want to try it, I can send the steps in a private message to your Forums HP in-box.  I need you agree to not post the stages.  Let me know what you decide.

  • OfficeJet 4500 driver will not download to Windows 8 - "Download".

Try to download the full Officejet 4500 Wireless download to a new PC 64 bit of Windows 8.1.  When download reaches 100 MB exactly, it stops: "download interrupted."  Click on 'summary' and downlaod again and 'interrupts' to 100 MB.  Tried with antivirus on and outside, on and outside printer.

Thanks for your help, but I already got it to install using the Installation Wizard under "diagnostics and utilities" (or something like that) listed below the option 'download now '.  It worked perfectly (all 300-some MB) and worked as one would expect in (in other words, just like the installation from a CD that comes with a new printer).  HP really needs this option "front and Center" rather than downloading raw - I mean, who's going to think to go to the section "diagnostics and utilities; most of the people go just to see "start downloading now", click that and feel frustrated as I did. I have found that the wizard by chance, frustration.  I think most of the users are like me, they want a quick, easy and fool-proof to get the printer to work.  We are not in the manipulation of files or refreshing / re-installation of operating systems.  Keep it simple for us, the Luddites.

  • OfficeJet 4500 wireless do not print with MacBook 10.5.8

The device will scan wireless but will not print wireless or to the USB with the Macbook. The wireless shows the file sent, then after a few seconds clears the queue and poster printer ready, despite no action at the printer. Try USB port it hangs just showing printer busy, status: 0xe00002e9. The printer works on USB with an iMac. I have uninstalled and reloaded several times from the disk and downloaded the drivers on the HP site, which none worked. Any suggestions for how to get printing to work?

    Hello

Is the 0xe00002e9 appears on the front panel of the printer or on Mac OS?

If the error appears on the computer screen, I also suggest you try reset the Mac printing system:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

In the Apple menu, click System Preferences.
On the view menu, click Print & Fax. Dialog print & fax opens.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

Now, click on the sign more, select the printer in the list and try to print again.

    Is there a difference?

  • OfficeJet 6700 Wireless will not be installed

I tried to connect my officejet 6700 without cable.  I am able to get the printer to connect to my network and when I print a wireless network test, it says that it is connected, switch on everything.  I am able to ping the printer as well.  At first when I tried to set up the printer, my computer could not find the printer.  Now, it seems that it can find the printer, but it will not install. I used the HP print and scan doctor, and he said that I had to install the full version of the software that comes with the printer. I tried to reload the software that came on the disk with the printer, and will not install successfully.

    Hi Wally,

Thanks for the reply.  I am running windows 7 professional 64-bit.  He just said "installation failure," anything else.  Since my last post I was able to chat online with an hp support person, and they made some kind of a work around.  Instead of trying to install as an officejet 6700, installed the driver for a deskjet 6950 and added a protocol TCP/IP port with the IP address of my printer, and that seemed to work.  It is now printing from my computer and my iPad.

  • HP OfficeJet 4500 Wireless: OfficeJet 4500 Wireless does not print

I just inherited this printer and it's a step above my F380, I installed it.

It scans very well and sending scans to the computer, but when I try to print or copy, even if it goes through the process (the book covers and print heads move back and forth) nothing appears on paper.

The cartridges that came with the printer I record as being almost 100% and I ran print and scan doctor nothing is done.  The Test Page 'prints' white also.

Is there anything else I can try before you buy new cartridges?

  • OfficeJet 6500 Wireless will not print black ink. Replaced by the new basket.

Wagon seems a little different from my previous. I have windows 7 64 bit operating system.

When you have changed the cartridge, the printer tried to automatic alignment?  How it went? (Success or failure)

So, you did a printhead cleaning (3 levels is preferable in this case)?

    * Press the key on the front panel of the printer

    * Press the arrow on the right for tools, then press Ok

    * Press the arrow on the right for the clean Printhead and press Ok

I also remove the black cartridge in the printer and try to clean the electric contacts with a clean, lint cloth and water.  Also wipe the contacts in the printer (make sure it is turned off during this operation).

There is also a document with the steps to solve a problem of printing such as this one.  The document can be accessed here.

If you get to step on replacing the printhead, then you have two options.  This being a wireless Officejet 6500 (E709n) it is probably out of warranty.

    (1) we can try the workaround provided by Bob_Headrick in the thread found here.

    (2) you can buy the print head since with CN643a part number HP parts store.  The print head sells currently for about US $70.

    (3) you can buy a new printer because it would be not much more than the printhead and would come with a full factory warranty.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP OfficeJet 6500 wireless do not print because there are 2 days, I changed my wireless router

    Original title: print printer print

My HP OfficeJet 6500 Wireless will not print because 2 days ago, I changed my wireless router. The printer is no longer under warranty and I'm using Windows 7 OS. I have

Assuming that there is a wireless connection to the printer, the most likely cause of the problem is that the printer is configured to obtain its IP address automatically, and the new router has assigned to the printer an IP address that is different from that which was initially awarded.

To check if the above is the question:

Controls on the front panel of the printer allows you to print a Network Setup page:
From the home screen, press the right arrow, and then select Setup.
Touch reports, click Network Configuration Page.

Find the IP address of the printer on the Network Configuration page.

On your computer, go to devices and printers

    • Right-click on your printer icon, and then select "printer properties".
    • Click the "Ports" tab
    • WITHOUT clicking anywhere in the list of ports other than the right scroll bar, find the line highlighted (the one with the box in the box)
    • Is the 'Port' the same as the IP address of the printer that you noted on the Network Configuration page?
    • Assuming that the port in the printer properties dialog box is not the same as that shown on the Network Configuration page, click the "Configure Port" button and enter the correct IP address in the box "printer name or IP address.
    • OK your way out

To avoid this problem does not happen, read the User Guide for the your printer and configure the printer to use a static or fixed IP address.  Choose an address that is in the same subnet as the router but outside the range of addresses used by the DHCP server on the router.  You can find this information on the configuration of your router utility.

For example, most Linksys/Cisco routers use the IP addresses of the form 192.168.1.x and allocate addresses in the range 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.150.  In this case, you should take a static IP as 192.168.1.20 (20 is outside the range of 100 to 150).

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z: failure sending a fax from Word G510n-z

I use a laptop Toshiba Satellite running Windows 10 with, AFAIK, updates. I am trying to send a Word document by fax to my connected OfficeJet 4500 wireless. The printing process works, I get the dialogue Send Fax, I dutifully fill. The document goes to the queue from print, then disappears. The printer is not composing or anything; the document will just in the bit bucket, without error, not even in the case log.

    Other relevant details:

    • I tried reinstalling the drivers; After several hours the skin of HP software, I did.
    • The laptop has 3 printers associated with my physical device: 2 printers generically named ' HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z ' and ' fax HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z "; and "HP # (HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z) ' (where # is a hexadecimal number of device-specific, I'm not willing to share here). The third argument prints correctly to the book.
    • I can scan documents through the HP Support Center application.
    • Copy and fax work correctly to the device itself. For example, if I have first print the thing, I want to fax, then by fax using the document feeder and the front of the device, it connects and sends the fax correctly.
    • The last time I checked, I was able with a fax in a program on my archaic Macintosh.
    • To repeat the foregoing, no errors are displayed or saved. Each attempt appears in the Fax as "Completed." log I don't want to get all the answers canned on the subject, thank you very much.
    • I browsed this forum of the community and support site and tried what I could find and understand how to do in Windows 10 of bugs. (Disclaimer: I've always been a Mac person and a VMS/Mac/Linux software developer, to try to understand how to do something which expected to be simple in Microsoft mess was not easy for me.) It is not suggested with a laptop given to his wife by a friend, however.)

  • HP OfficeJet 4500 Wireless: lack the hpsupportsolutionsframework.msi file may not install/uninstall

I got caught by the Windows default update from 7 to 10.

10 was a little bug, but I gave him a few weeks to see if it could be arranged.

Yesterday, I got a notice from HP that I needed to upgrade my printer software, so I did, which was my mistake, it seems.

The upgrade process didn't go smoothly and in the end, I had no way to access my printer/scanner, the HP solution Center which I use to make my scanner was gone.

It's been half a day trying to solve this problem, including downgrading to Windows 7 and to uninstall and reinstall the printer software, but nothing works.

A critical issue seems to be an error message I get that said file hpsupportsolutionsframework.msi is missing from the temp/local directory.

So, how do you return this file?

At this point, I'm pretty disappointed with HP, because I just followed the advice you guys to make a necessary upgrade.  everything worked fine before this.
