To activate the fax confirmation in the Panel

This selects print the report and then Fax of Confirmation.
3. press to select one of the following, and then press OK.

Have been on the line-no luck.  Spoke to tech support and after 1/2 hour of cleaning and unplug everything still getting error. They delivered a new part: HP 564 FIELD REPLACEMENT KIT, n. after seeing another post, I am not convinced that this will solve the problem.  Someone had a bit of luck with this question?

    Thank you

It solved my problem for now.  I'm nervous when you change the cartridges now.  I'm bitter about technical support so don't want to deal with problems with HP printer ever!

In addition to all the hours that I mentioned in my first post, I was also given a fax number does not exist to use to fax proof of purchase and I spent 3 hours in a typical products, trying over and over and over again send the fax.

Another very long call to technical support gave a different fax number that worked.

  • How can I copy my envoys and rec'd faxes as well as my my old XP computer fax numbers?

I want to copy my old fax sent and received from my old computer which was an XP. I can find the file from your old computer (documents and settings, all users, data applications, microsoft, Windows NT) BUT where do I copy them to the new computer which is Windows 7?

    Hello

First of all, you can try to backup or copy the current files of the fax or the folder itself to an external device such as a Flash DRIVE or CD etc.

On the Windows 7 computer, open Windows Fax and Scan application navigate to tools > Fax settings > advanced.  You should find an entry for archive fax (inbox\sent points).  You can make a note of the default location and browse to the location and settle fax files. You can also create a folder for fax files and change the default location to a folder that you create.

    Hope this information is helpful

  • No confirmation of delivery fax Photosmart 7510

My efax "delivery confirmation" on my Photosmart HP 7510 all-in-one (windows 7) is already set to 'on '. I sent 3 faxes up to now and that you have not yet received a printed delivery confirmation. (faxes show as sent the 'my fax' log on to the printer, but not in my efax account, so I'm still not able to actually print the proof that the fax has been sent.) Something that I missed? Thank you

Maddyjean, unfortunately, eFax is a company that works closely with HP on some printers, but it's actually a third party company. For this reason, there are some limitations as to what HP is able to control with eFax.

eFax works this way: your request is sent to our servers ePrint which is then transmitted to the eFax server. From there it is sent to your recipient.

Because of this configuration, we are only able to confirm that our fax has been received by the servers of eFax, but now eFax didn't put it in place to show that a recipient has received the fax. I would recommend contacting eFax on this limitation, because there is no other alternative for HP to give you right now.

It is possible that this will change in the future, because the development of this technology is fairly new.

    I hope this helps!

  • Fax and scan failure to 'Handshake' Windows 7 Windows

My F & S Win has troubled handshaking of the Canada Fax Server to a UK Government Department.

I want to fax to the Retreat Center International UK for the Department of work & Pensions in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom

I had this problem for a while. I know their number 4. [Examples can be provided]

My Win F & S connects with the phone number UK Fax Server, it is answered, but they cannot "handshake" and move forward.

Win F & S indicates "No Answer" despite the attempt of my UK hearing this number "handshake".

My final solution was to dial and dial and dial and dial 3 numbers in a row, until finally a "handshake" is complete

    BUT

Last half of 2014, even this solution did not work.

Faxes and from Canada has sent/REC/WAV would normally be. Last fax in the UK other than above UK Govt Dept send OK

    Alan,

What type of telephone service you have?  In particular, you try to connect your fax modem to a VoIP service (Internet phone) such that you can get cable TV providers Internet service or through the use of a product like the MagicJack or is the fax modem connected to an analog telephone line old?

If you can send and receive faxes from any other fax machines, the issue is highly unlikely be caused by one of Windows issues mentioned by the "Support Engineer".

The segment of the modem log and that you have provided normal air.  It's all part of the modem initiation procedure.  The modem log does not include real sending or receiving a fax.  Low DSR message seems to be normal (it's in my diary too).

If you use a normal phone line, my guess is that there is a problem at the Retreat Center International UK.  There might be a support tech office here, but I doubt it.

If you use VoIP, ask your service provider for assistance.

Assuming that it is important that you can send a fax to the recipient, I suggest that you look in one of the online services of fax Internet such as eFax.com...  I don't have any personal experience with any of these services.  See http://lifehacker.com/5635900/five-best-fax-services

  • I can fax, but the date does not appear on the fax machine, the display or confirmation. need information for fix

HP7500A printer, just bought. Works very well except for the date. Because I must have proof of fax sending, it does not work.

    Hi Mbailey212,

You have the date and time on the machine itself? to do:

Go to the front screen of the printer and make sure that the printer screen is on the home screen, if it is not, the light house at the top left lights. If so, touch and it will take you to the home page, then right arrow once and select settings, scroll to preferences and select it. At the top you should see the date and time, select this option and enter the date and time.

I would like to know if this helps or not.

  • Why Apple Drop Fax Modem Support with Sierra?

Why Apple Drop Fax Modem Support with Sierra? Now, I have to spend money on a fax or e - Fax machine. Yechh.

It has fax modem support since Apple stopped including a port modem/phone on computers. You can always try using a USB modem for faxing.

  • change the incoming fax for .tif files

I'm faxes sent on my computer in .tiff format. The program I use to move faxes to records of patients needs to be in .tif format. Can I change this?

I guess since you asked here in a Thunderbird support forum for these faxes come to you by e-mail and you use Thunderbird.
Thunderbird offers just your mail. It has nothing to do with the naming of files.
There is no difference between a .tif and a file .tiff except for the number of characters in the file extension. You can rename the file yourself if your system will not accept the 4-digit extension.
You can always contact the sender and ask them to change the name before you send it.

  • When I try to print it thinks I want to fax. I don't!

Yesterday and today as well when I hit print I get a message about sending faxes, that my fax is not put in place, etc. I do not have a fax nor do I want one. Why it does this instead of print?

Try to print again, but this time notice the "name:" drop-down menu in a dialogue of the page printing. Make sure that your printer and not 'Fax' is selected.

    That should solve this problem.

  • Can I send an email to a fax number?

Since I do not know the e-mail address of the person I want to contact, but don't have a fax number, can I compose an email in Thunderbird and send it to the fax number? Do I need an add-on or a special format in ' send to '?

In general, a message sent to a fax machine requires a phone call and e-mail clients do not know how how do phone calls.

A few years ago, it was quite common for ISPS to offer a limited number of free calls, usually of SMS messages to mobile phones, sometimes faxes IIRC. Most of these promotional services seems to have disappeared quietly.

There used to be a network (PTC ring a Bell) who took a system where you could send in a fax server near your destination and that they would make the last mile, the fax for you, call for free, but it always happens with advertising added in.

So, overall, it is not trivial to send a fax from an e-mail client.

There are still companies who do this, almost always for a fee. It is usually a bilateral agreement; you receive one number to which others can send faxes, that end up in your e-mail Inbox, and you can use the same number to send faxes by e-mail.

The one that I've used in the past.

    http://home.eFax.com/

    It's not a recommendation.

Not so long ago, we all had a modem built into our computers. This, when it is connected to a regular landline, with the right software, can allow your computer work like a fax machine. Of course, every fax you send you a phone call just like running a real fax would be costs. Of course, Windows XP can send a fax was built in; you dial in a word processor or text editor, and then select the fax as the printer device. A dialog box invites you for the fax number to send it to. As far as I know, this feature is still present in Windows 7 and 8.

If you do not have a fixed phone, mobile phone can offer something similar.

  • Brother Fax 2820 and other printers are not compatible with El Capitan?

  • I don't have a fax machine, but get a fax message when I try to print something on the internet and can not get rid of the pop up so how to fix?

I have dealt with this problem about a week. I turned off the computer completely overnight, but it does not correct the situation. I can't print anything the Internet as long as the fax message is out there. I don't have a fax machine and do not want a.

    What is this message onfax?
Difficult to understand how this is a problem of Firefox support Firefox doesn't have any fax machine capabilities.

By chance, do you have a printer all-in-one that can receive a fax message? Printer, scanner and Fax combined.

If so, try looking in your owner's manual for this all-in-one knowledge how to print this message. Or view a support forum for this all-in-one printer of brand.

My Windows 7 computer is connected to the Canon MX410 all-in-one printer that has
ability to fax. Y at - it a configuration using Thunderbird that will allow me to send a fax?
    Thanks for your reply.

This is not possible with Thunderbird out of the box. Thunderbird can send e-mail messages. If you find an Internet service accepting e-mails and convert them to a fax, you may be able to achieve.
