Faxes sending Officejet 6700 Premium [851648] of the control panel of the printer (form)

I have a problem with my printer HP Officejet 6700 Premium [851648] when sending a fax using the control panael (screen) of the printer. It quickly shows me a blue screen with a power icon and a Error Code: "B82658AC". It shows a masseg tells me to turn off the printer. But when to send a fax via the HP utility program, sends it without problem. This is the first time to send a fax after the purchase of the printer. I did the Test and show me that everything is OK. My printer is connected directly to the telephone line. I just want to now how to fix this problem, thanks.

  • Installation software for HP Officejet 6700 Premium problems

I have a Compaq laptop originally with Windows Vista Home
High-end operating system. I have recently installed Windows 8.1 and
had some minor problems with the programs, but they have been sorted
    outside.
I tried to reinstall the HP Officejet 6700 Premium software,
Download the software OJ6700_1315.exe of your drivers and
    Software Web site.

When I run the software I get the following error
    Message:

    Good FrazerA,

I'm happy that we did the SFC/scannow. The question is are known is the operating system, not the HP software. At this point, my suggestion is to perform a system recovery to Windows Vista. A system recovery will bring the computer to a new similar State, for this purpose, you will need to back up all your personal data and files.

If you want to continue, click on the following link and follow the instructions. > Undertook a restoration of HP (Windows 8) system

After system recovery is complete, use the HP Support Assistant to ensure that the computer is up to date. Support Assistant will check for all updates to Windows and HP. If not already have the Support Assistant installed, click here to download and install it. > HP Support Assistant.

The best course of action at this time would be to install the HP on Vista software to see if it installs now. Of course, a successful installation confirms the theory that the operating system itself is the root cause of the problem at this point.

Post back with the results and product number. With the Compaq product number I can check the specifications, make sure that the BIOS updated and you ensure that we have a smoother installation of Windows 8.

  • OfficeJet 6700 premium print date and time on the fax history report

Running Windows 8.1 on my OfficeJet 6700 Premium AIO H711n fails to print the date and time on the historic report of the fax.  I need this information to check the box of cylinder head of the fax the documents have been sent.

    Hello dcflorida,

I did not the 6700 but on another machine, I had to 'reset', time and date in the printers preferences.

If you haven't done it yet, go to Settings/preferences/time and Date on the All in One printer set up (once again if necessary).

IF your machine does not have the time / date on the history report, it includes it in the Confirmation page?

Here is the link to the Manual too.

I followed the instructions on reprint the code of request but were unsuccessful. I constantly get a message that my printer is unable to conect to the server. Hey @bhigh904,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are unable to activate the services Web on your HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help.

When users encounter this type of problem, I usually suggest from scratch with the radio of the printer and webservices configuration.  You can clear all of these parameters in a swoop by the factory default restore * your printer.

    Here's how:

    * Note that this step resets the setting up your printer wireless, address ePrint and other custom print settings. If you have created a custom address @hpeprint.com it is permanently erased. For more information about custom addresses ePrint, click here.

    • The printer's front panel, press the Setup/key icon and then tap tools
    • Select Restore to factory settings

Then, touch the wireless icon () and run the Wireless Setup Wizard to restore your network connection.

Make a note of the IP address of the printer.  Then, follow these steps to configure a manual DNS:

    • Enter the printer's IP address in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer) and press ENTER to go directly to this page.
    • Click the network tab.
    • In the submenu on the left, click Networking.
    • Then click on the network (IP) address.
    • Click Manual DNS server.
    • DNS preferred as 8.8.8.8 manual entry
    • Auxiliary DNS server entry as 8.8.4.4
    • Click on apply to finalize this change.

Then, press the icon of Webservices () and reactivate your webservices (necessary for scan to e-mail, ePrint and other features).

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I helped you to solve the problem and that you liked this post, feel free to give me virtual accessories by clicking on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and by accepting this solution.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: Unable to connect to the new network HP 6700

I just changed networks and want to connect my HP Officejet 6700 Premium to the new network.

In the control panel of the printer, I accessed network / Wireless Installation Wizard.  When I do, I get the message:

    Locking function

This feature has been locked by your system administrator or the person who set up the printer.

There is an OK button, but no other options.

I get the same message when I tried to access a WiFi Protected Setup, and, for good measure, the default system restore.

There is no administrator, in itself, because I'm the one who has set up the printer.  I'm rulnning a MacBook Pro on OS X El Capitan.

Please, help me to know what I need to do to connect my printer to the network so I can print.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer and especially for providing additional resources should what was being offered as a solution to not work.

I have tried your solution several times and kept getting the same message.  I tried shuttig the printer off by pulling on the power cord, stop in the right way, reverse iin, etc..  Nothing removed the error.

Then I took the printer to a local Best Buy to show them the problem, which was at home.  We tried it a few times, and then, for no reason whatsoever (seems), it allowed us to do a reset.  No one knows what was different.

My advice for anyone with the same problem is completely unplug it, let it sit for a while, keep trying and hope for the best.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium - how to set the default print quality of 'normal' of the "draft."

    Hello

    Thank you for your help.

    I have a printer/all-in-one Officejet 6700 Premium.

Most of the documents that I print is for internal purposes, so "Draft" quality is sufficient.

The default factory on the print quality setting is 'Normal '. I know how manually enter and restore the "draft", but I'd rather have the defaultproject, so I have to reset it manually each time.

I could not find how to permanently fix the draft quality defect.

Again, thank you for your help.

    George Mathis

    4. Click Printing Preferences.
    5. Enter the tab paper / quality .
    6. Select the project in the area of quality parameters.
    7. Click OK to save the settings.

Now any future printing will be in draft quality.

    Kind regards

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: HP Officejet 6700 Premium No. no power no answer, unless that stood on the end

So I have a HP Officejet 6700 Premium which was working fine and suddenly stopped working. The power module is fine, green light turns on, well verified. I tried all the inane suggestions on the HP support site so I know the plug works, feeds the power supply module, but the printer power button is unresponsive. Opening the door or lid elicits no response. Totally D.O.A.; That is until I can't stand the printer on the end (discovered this while preparing to throw it across the room). If I am standing at the printer at its end it sometimes suddenly turns on and starts his routine of self-control (too long).

Everyone knows this issue or know a solution? The printer is out of warranty and when I called HP support they told me to throw it away and buy another. Clearly, it seems that something is just loose in the field of food, because when it is vertical, it seems fine. I don't mind to pay to have it fixed, but the support rep seemed indifferent in the repair of the printer option.

    Hi @Alpha_Beta,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are facing some hardware issues on your HP Officejet 6700 Premium. It does not, until he is on his side. You have contacted the technical support and the printer is out of warranty.

Try to perform a hard reset:

    1. disconnect all cables and cards of memory in the printer. Unplug the power cord, directly from the back of the printer when the printer is still on.

    2. unplug the other end of the power cord.

    3. If there is a power supply on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.

    4. at the end of 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector or battery backup because they can cause the printer to lose over time basic functionality).

    5. connect the power cord to the back of the printer.

    6. the printer should automatically power back upward. If not, turn it on with the power button.

    7. try to make a photocopy (if your printer is a printer all in one) before you connect the cables from the printer.

    8. connect the other cables needed to the printer.

It work? If you are still unable to use the printer as it is more under warranty I would contact them and look at all your options as it is not a repairable part. As you say electric sounds, something inside.

    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: officejet 6700 wifi on despite the Panel saying otherwise

My 6700 Officejet is set up do not use wifi, but to use a wired network. On the control panel of the printer, the wifi logo is off, and in the settings menu, it says that wifi is disabled.

Despite this, the printer is trying to install a wifi network. It broadcasts a network name. (I checked: the network name is the printer model, it disappears when I turned the printer off, and it reappears when I turn on the power.)

What should I do to really turn on wifi?

    Hi @pieterl,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that your printer HP Officejet 6700 Premium broadcast a wireless signal, but you want to disable this feature. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand that the wireless is off, but the printer still broadcasts a wireless signal. I gather that you see is 6700 portable printer HP Officejet HP Setup menu wireless on the computer or other wireless devices? This seems to indicate that the Direct wireless is enabled.

The menu on the front panel of the printer, go to:

    • Setup menu > network > wireless Direct > turn wireless Direct off the coast.

This should fix the problem for you.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium error 0 x 00000709 cannot set the default printer

I bought my new HP Officejet 6700 Premium on February 1, 2013. I use a HP Pavilion dm4 laptop under Windows 7 Home Premium. The installation seems to give no problem. However I'm unable to set the default printer and have the error message 0 x 00000709. Excel, Adobe, Outlook does not allow me to print.

I spoke to the HP printer Department February 1st and they sent me some software of diagnosis which I sent back. I called again on 6 February and was told my problem was always open and they were trying to reproduce the problem (it appears on the net without a patch work). It is now February 10, and I hope the good people of HP to recall with a solution soon. You try to run a small business with no printer is not ideal.

Someone at - it else ecountered this problem, and you have a solution.

I ran HP utility, installed uninstalled the driver etc etc etc.

I seem to have fixed the problem by changing in the registry keys. If HP wants a donation to charity, I would be happy to provide it to them :-)

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium suddenly does not connect to my Macbook Pro more

    Hey everybody,

I got my HP Officejet for over a year and it has always worked perfectly. It has a stable wifi connection. Yesterday, all of a sudden the printer did not respond, so I asked my brother, who is the type of an It'er and removed the printer from the "Print & Scan" system preferences. Now, however, it will not be added more. As I said, it doesn't have a stable wifi connection, and I can see the presence of the printer when I click on the plus to add a printer, but then, if I want to add it, it says "cannot communicate with the printer at this time." I rebooted the computer laptop and printer and even left stop for the night, but it does not work. Nobody knows anything else to try?

Thank you very much in advance

    Hi Elizaanne,

I understand that you are having problems with HP Officejet 6700 Premium does not connect to your Macbook Pro.

The router must sometimes be recycled.  I unplug the router, turn off the printer, shut down the computer.

Turn on router wait 5 min and turn on the printer and the computer.

Check the printer if the Wifi is STRONG.

Open Preferences system, Print and or print and scan pane. If you see the printer listed
Click Printer button remove. It will ask for confirmation to delete printer.
Click on add it or + button, select the MFP Hello not Fax. Adding that should update the drivers.

If the Wifi of the printer is not fixed, you will need to reconfigure.

    1. Press the power button to turn on the printer.

    Hi felipestrong,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I see that you are interested in saving the scans of your HP Officejet 6700 Premium to a specific folder you created, where default instead in the pictures folder. You are using Mac OS 10.9 and scan wirelessly from the front of your JO 6700. Please follow the steps listed below:

    2. go to Applications

    3 select the Hewlett-Packard folder

    4. Select utility

    5. under the scan settings section, select scan to computer

    6. in the lower right corner, select Edit analysis jobs

    7. Save to the Pdf format (documents) or Jpeg (pictures) - whichever you prefer

8 scroll to others to locate the scan my folder created

    9. press Select , and then tap OK

Now when you scan from the front panel of your 6700 JO, your scans are saved in the folder you chose.

    I hope this helps!
