FCPX does not recognize camera

Hi guys. FCPX does not recognize my Panasonic AG HPX250P p2 camera. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thank you

I'm not familiar with the specific camera, but if you record on a SD card, you can try just plug the camera card and import your videos from the card (or make an archive) instead.

If you save on tape, then you need to connect the camera using Firewire, NO of USB. For a recent mac, this requires a bolt of lightning to Firewire adapter.

  • 7 Prime Minister does not recognize camera dv

First 7 does not recognize DV Canon camera for capture. Computer is quad-core 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, HDD 1 G; connection is via firewire. Windows and explore both recognize that camera is connected but is not the Prime Minister. When I started trying to capture, I was able to get a few seconds of the video, now nothing, but even then I had to use DV camera manual control... so it behaves as if it is not connected, even if the computer it says it. I installed the card with the firewire connection when I bought the computer, so I thought that maybe it is not properly connected, but the computer would recognize the camera if the firewire connection was not good?

I tried the camera with the same firewire connection on my old computer (dual core 32-bit, 4 GB RAM) and capture worked fine.

    Appreciate any help. Thank you.

I agree with John. There are several advantages to on videotape as a source of edition.

Don't let not this minor setback swing you! As you work, you will find that Premiere Elements like miniDV footage and works more effectively with him! (BTW, so do video editors on the Mac).

  • Computer does not recognize camera

    Hello

I have a new Canon Rebel T6S I have with a computer of Windows 8.  I installed the software but I can't get the computer to recognize the camera.  It is connected using the USB cord. The EOS utility does nothing.  It is stuck on 'Connect an EOS camera.'  Try to set up the wifi does nothing no more.  The device is connected, turned on and on the display with the triangle, but it's like she's not even plugged.

Now I tried this on a second computer.  Same thing.  Nothing is recognized.  Cannot connect via wifi either.

Very frustrated as support tech is closed on weekends.  I'm travelling for the next two weeks and I wish I could use my camera!

I fixed it. It turns out that plug the unit photo does not work when wifi is on. But you cannot set wifi settings until you are connected by the cable. A lot of people have this problem.

There is no reason why the iMac should not be able to use a USB mouse. With the mouse connected to the computer off the computer tower and turn it back on. Now it doesn't recognize the mouse? If this is not the case, try a SMC reset.

Movie Maker has been designed to download from mini-DV cameras
connected with FireWire... (they record at small cassettes... not
    flash drives)

The best would be to download the video files in a folder on your
hard drive... convert the WMV movie format and then import
    in Movie Maker.

If you connect the camera via a cable USB and go to... My computer...
It should be recognized as a drive. If it's... you can download it from
there by copy and paste or drag and drop.

    Good luck...
