FGEN 5402 Amplitude at low frequencies

Hello

Sorry, I don't know the right place...

I work with the NOR-PXI-5402 FGEN.

My measurement is 1000 Hz to 1 Hz. The amplitude of my example is 1V.

The FGEN made 1000-15 Hz 1V. After 15 Hz amplitude will made to 700mV (10 Hz), 500mV (5 Hz) so on.

Is this normal behavior?

How can I set the voltage at 1V constantly?

I work with Labview, by the way.

Thank you!

Turn off AC coupling on the scope. The cut of the 5105 is 12.

  • Measure voltage low frequency

    Hello

I use PCI 6025E to control load Bank and to measure the voltage, current and frequency of a generator.
Current and the frequency is not a problem, voltage is toublesome.
As on test bench already there are few PCI cards and large number of sensors, I don't want to add NI 9205 or any other additional maps and the size of the area (other people are also working there).

The problem with blood pressure is three two generators spend 400 rpm to 1600 rpm is. some 15 to 55 Hz.

I got two solutions for this:

1, put a step down transformer (230 Vac / 5 Vac) and then measure the voltage. But I have to deal with magnetic saturation with commercially available processor during the test to something like 15 Hz. I don't want to take the pain to built my own transformer.

2, using high precision voltage divider. The problem is that what should be the galvanic insulation? Insulation transformer, but still low frequency problem.

Where could someone suggest me because there is a bit of confusion in my head.

    Thank you.

If you have a sinusoidal generator (15 Hz migth be hard for the soundcard ) you can do a calibration of your transformer.

(If only the amplitude of the voltage is of interest, use a DMM isolated as a reference and run your generators)

Or you buy an insulation voltage amplifier. (weidmueller, phoenix, wago,...)

  • Can I use 6115 measure DC or low frequency signal

I use 6115 OR data acquisition if put singnal superior to 100 Hz, the result is very good.

But if the frequency below 10 Hz, the result is not fair.

I try MAE and choose the DC coupling mode, it still can not measure DC signal.

What can I do? or the NI6115 can measure just the DC or the lower frequency signal.

    Thank you

    Hi xsfl,

Please try the other channel. I wanted to ask, what are the characteristics of your signal? What is a sinusoidal signal, how often, what range of amplitude? Also, have you been able to measure low frequency signals before or is this the first time you try?

Also, remember that you are above the minimum rate, 20kS/sec, sampling sampling as to the care.

  • Memory running at a lower frequency

I recently added 1 GB 667 DDR2 ram to my office, a1514in Pavilion (previously 1 GB 667 stick). But now the bios is show my DRAM frequency as 266 MHz (PC2-4200), these are the cases with different configs:

-If I put only OLD stick of 1 GB 333 MHz (PC2-5300) show

-If I put only NEW stick of 1 GB it will show 266 MHz (PC2-4200)

-If I put both OLD & NEW 1 GB stick will show at 266 MHz (PC2-4200)

Has also tried different machines slot but no use (I have only 2 slots and memory support for my system max is 2GB BIOS version 3.24)

I am not able to understand what the problem is. In CPU - Z under the SPD, the two sticks are showing similar settings (I have not so good idea on these parameters). Please help me why the new RAM runs at a lower frequency... What should I do?

    Hello Khot

What is the model of your Samsung of RAM stick?

According to the specifications of your motherboard RAM supported, speed isn't PC2-4200 and PC2-5300.

Another thing, usually by mixing different RAM is a bad idea. The reasoning is that each RAM stick is intended to be run at a specific frequency, timings and voltage. If two sticks use different frequencies, timings, tensions that the BIOS will be all run the highest common denominator. In your case, that your new stick of RAM PC2-4200 and, therefore, the BIOS reads your second stick is run at the same speed for stability purposes.

  • NEITHER USB-6343: erratic low frequency 1 counter measures

    Dear members,

I'm looking for help with a measure of low frequency counter.  I tried to make it work for a week or two, but I keep getting erratic measures.  It will read the rpm properly for a second or two and then it will give a ridiculous value on the order of 10,000 times the correct value. I can not get a constant value.

I use a DAQ series X NI USB-6343 multifunction with Geartooth Honeywell GTN1A111 sensor. I enclose a sketch of the wiring configuration.  I think that it is correct.  Sensor output to the door of the meter.

To try to solve this problem, I hooked the sensor to an analog input channel to make sure that I was getting a TTL signal by sensor.  I noticed every once in a while I'd see a glitch of little noise in the signal and I guess that's what is causing my problem with the meter.  I inserted two waveforms of the sensor signal (one with the clean signal) and the other with the glitch of noise.  My understanding of a TTL signal meter channel will examine LO voltage when it is below 0.8V and HI when it is larger than 3.8V.  So I really do not understand why these little glitches could be the cause of the problem because they are well below and above 0.8V and 3.8V, respectively.  I think that the noise comes from a frequency converter used to drive the engine.  I tried the system as much as possible of the Earth.

I guess I'm looking for another approach.  I could potentially use a digital filter to help with noise? The glitch is in fact the problem or I forgot something.  The VI in question is attached.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike

Have you tried to set up a digital filter yet?  Obviously the seeds are collected as an additional transition (the method of low frequency counter 1 measure the period and then reverse, so a short glitch would record as a very high frequency).

You can enable the digital filter with the following property node:

Min pulse width is guaranteed pulse past the filter, so it should be low enough for the real signal is guaranteed to pass through (but high enough so that the glitch is always rejected).

  • static/digital waveform output and low frequency measurement of voltage - SMU-6358

    Hello

    1. I have an attached VI [digital_voltage_output] who must generate a logical true or false static state in the output of the device/port0/line1 Word to say. When the VI works I click the button several times, but nothing happens to the port0/lines1.

2 such a thing [digital_voltage_waveform_output_square] if I'm trying to generate a digital waveform to pin the same with the waveform generating VI. If I connect a waveform chart to the output of the generator function VI, then the chart will show me the good waveform I want, but still nothing is written to the text file.

    3. I have read the manual for the X series cards, but it remains unclear for me a little how to things of the road in LV I have a measure of the frequency measurement VI low frequency that I downloaded. It offers me the ports for the supply frequency - ctr0, 1, 2, etc. As far as I'm concerned the PFI ports are responsible for these types of actions. How can I find out the LV that I want to connect say ctr0 and pfi0? »

    I use LV 8.6.

    Kriváň

    Hi Kriváň,

The problem you had with the choice of a specific digital line as a physical channel, is that the control that was previously used in this example was created for a data acquisition task that uses a whole port rather than a specific line. I was able to overcome this problem by removing the control and recreate. The control now gives you the option to choose the specific digital lines e.g. port0/PXI1Slot2/$line0.

I was also able to overcome the error of-200802 you mentioned. I was able to do this in a real constant of wiring at the entrance to auto-start the VI DAQmx writing then remove the DAQmx beginning the subsequent code VI. The modified code is attached.

    I hope this helps.

  • Low-frequency shaking sound when the backlight is disabled

Very starnge.  It only happens for some MP3 song, and when the backlight turns off, I hear that very clearly some low-frequency (about 3-4 Hz) sound poping out.  Once I press a button and the backlight was on, pop vanish.

Yes, after changing the EQ for 'Rock' to 'Normal', the problem is resolved.  I don't even have to use "custom" for the equalizer.  This problem makes me very carefully listern for the background music/noise.

  • Analysis of low frequency - great obstacle, easy solution

I'm trying to analyze a signal between 0-2 Hz. The signal is a clean sine curve where the amplitude and frequency changes.

I wanted to use the ExpressVI which is called "Your measurement" as I am not that experienced with Labview.

I used a signal generator to simulate, and it seems that it works very well for signals above 10 Hz. lower than that returns the high frequencies and amplitudes of false.

Well, I sort of figured it out by reading my own question. Increase the number of samples done...

  • Meter very low frequency using PCI-MIO-16-4

    Hello

I am trying to use a card PCI-MIO-16-4 with BNC-2090 to CI FREQ. Because the sometimes less than 1 Hz frequency of our leaders, or even no time measurement taken, the vi program always shows "Error-200527" and tells me that the min frequency must be greater than 1,192 Hz. If this card cannot measure very low (even zero) frequency in time measurement taken? If it is possible, how? Could you show me some examples? Thank you very much.

    Damien

What method of measure do you use to measure your rate?  You are able to assign at least 0 (default) to 2 that would be the rounded version of 1,192.  Alternatively, you can try to use one of the other methods to measure and see if that helps.  All these values can be set with the channel to create VI.

  • Elvis II: FGEN, very fragmented signals low level

We recently purchased some Elvis II platforms: very beautiful products.

In any case, we have a problem with ANY when the amplitude is very small (about 10 ~ 30mVpp) signal (osserved on the scope) is really fragmented.

We use as input AI1 (FGEN <->at the entrance to the quadrupole which is GROUND referenced) ed AI0 (output of the quadrupole, always referenced to GROUND)

We have connected the two pins of AI (-) STILL common then to EARTH, while FGEN transits through the prototype Board.

FGEN share the same GND AI?

    Where we are wrong?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Parisi,

I think that do you things in the right way. However, it is possible to see a bit of noise (which you see in your screenshot) for a lot of factor. In addition, Elvis II is a very useful and powerful but is not designed to operate small voltage.

You saw the same behavior you acquire a significant voltage signal (more than 1 VP)

    Let me know

  • The amplitude of the frequency. Bode CD. State space

    Hi all

Gently, I have a simple model that gives me a Bode phase and magnitude, using the block 'CD Bode'. AFAIK, this block takes the representation of the State space and assesses the frequency and scale of the system.

Can I change the value of the Phase or amplitude Bode? by means change the input signal that bode uses to evaluate the response of the State space?

Note: The entry, I want to say here is the value of the sinusoidal signal that Bode uses to give the phase and the amplitude of the State space.

    Thank you

The works of Bode CD functions as a "sweep" of all frequencies and who you are. The algorithm is not a frequency controlled, he comes back the entire spectrum. You can't just get a specific frequency. However, if you use the fuction 'Assess frequency of CD', you can provide the model and frequency, and this will give you the specific Mag/Phase for this frequency. This example shows how to do this in LabVIEW:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\examples\Control and Simulation\Control Design\Time Analysis\CDEx Lin Simulation and stable State.vi

Now, if you want to 'form' your frequency, so you can create another model, connect with each other and try to change the output frequency. This example shows how to do this:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\examples\Control and Simulation\Control Design\Frequency Analysis\CDEx frequency analysis

If you just want to "simulate" the response of the signal to a specific sine wave, then you will need to you another function in the time domain palette called "linear Simulation CD. With this, you can generate a specific sine wave and you can see his behavior in the time domain. Here is an example:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\examples\Control and Simulation\Control Design\Time Analysis\CDEx sine wave with Mathscript.vi

  • HP pavilion touchsmart 14: Audio works, but now the low frequencies or lower

Hi, Ive had this laptop for a while now and a few months ago, that the audio was working fine when I was producing my music, I plugged my microphone, guitar wheel, I even put in place a new maschine micro mk2 and he worked well with low latency. I'm not changing the latency and a few weeks after leaving my computer sit, I'm back and tried to go on soundcloud and audio did not work well. The audio was released, but it was as if the bass had been manually disabled. I have preveously owned a macbook so if you could please clarify and explain how to solve the problem or what is happening, that would be greatly appreciated.
