file associations for .bin files
It seems that the *.bin files have been associated with a video player program. How do I tell - associate these files and how the *.bin files are used by windows and other programs?
There is no standard definition for the *.bin files and no program specific to open. Boulder computer Maven

the control panel fixed association, he say of cereate Association for this
PPS. I can not open emails with attached pps more. He said, to create an association in THE SET ASSOCIATION CONTROL PANEL
I assume you have the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/126492 PowerPoint or PowerPoint or OpenOffice Suite www.openoffice.crg Viewer or another program to view and/or to open PPS files installed on your system. If this isn't the case, you must do so before you will be able to view attachments of type pps (use the links above to get the software if necessary).
To check the file Association, click on start / "default programs / Associate a file or Protocol with a program and do scroll until you come to PPS." The program is set to open these files the right pair? Otherwise, click on edit and then select the correct one from the list. If is not correct in the list, click Browse and look for the programs executable file in your Program Files folder. It will probably be under Microsoft Office, but where possible folder names vary depending on your version of Microsoft Office and you don't provide that. I use Office 2007 and it is located in the Office12 folder. The file name is powerpnt.exe. Select the file and set it as the new default value and click OK. You should now be able to view files and attachments PPT.
If there is no pps file type listed, then open Notepad (start / all programs / accessories / Notepad) and type Test, and then save the file to your desktop. Then change the name of the file extension .txt in a .pps extension. Then right-click on the file and select open with. Choose the PowerPoint program you use (you may need to scroll down again to the actual executable file in Program Files) and when he requested, check the box for always open these files with this program. Who should the association for pps on the right program and you should be able to open attachments and files without problem.
If not, what e-mail you program use (name and version)? This will tell me where you refer for further assistance by experts on this program. JDeveloper do not establish association for HR schema
Hi, I just started learning JDeveloper and Oracle and I'm trying to follow this tutorial:
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E37547_01/tutorials/tut_rich_app/tut_rich_app.html
I got to step 19, and everything was working fine until I tried to run the AppModule. I get not all associations (for example. I do not have EmpDeptFkLink1 )
All I have is
AppModule
-DepartmentsView1
-EmployeesView1
-JobsView1
In my view, that ADF should automatically create associations for me based on the foreign keys of the tables, I checked to work properly.
I looked at this thread https://community.oracle.com/thread/2411302
but I don't think it applies to me I chose the HR schema when you move through the wizard.
Can anyone suggest what the problem? I really want to learn this.
Thanks for your reply. I understand that you wanted to say but as I am a total beginner even what is hard for me (tried and did not turn to the right).
After a day scouring the Internet I thought about it so I'll post it here for others (and I'm surprised that nobody publishes this problem, happens by default when you install oracle 12 c!).
Basically, your PDB is RESTRICTED the first time install you it. Trying to grant the user SESSION is RESTRICTED for some reason any does not have full access. Tables appear, but do not have points of view.
To verify if your PDB (remember not CBD) is restricted or not (and make sure that you are logged on as user SYS):
SQL > show files PDB;
CON_ID CON_NAME RESTRICTED OPENING MODE
---------- ------------------------------ ---------- ----------
2 SEEDS OF $ PDB READ ONLY NO.
3 PDBTVTS READ WRITE YES
As you can see, mine was. We could think about rating is a simple command that forums will tell you:
SQL > DISABLE THE ALTER SESSION SYSTEM RESTRICTED;
DISABLE RESTRICTED SESSION ALTER SYSTEM
*
ERROR on line 1:
ORA-65144: ALTER SYSTEM DISABLE RESTRICTED SESSION is not allowed
Took me hours before I realized there's no point to find a way to get this command works. Then I saw that you can start an instance using the RESTRICTED, then why not start up * without * this mode.
To put it simply, stop the instance and start it again.
SQL > shutdown immediate
Connectable to closed database.
(don't care which change the order now while the instance is closed.) I tried, still did not haha)
SQL > startup
Connectable to open database.
SQL > show PDB files
CON_ID CON_NAME RESTRICTED OPENING MODE
---------- ------------------------------ ---------- ----------
2 SEEDS OF $ PDB READ ONLY NO.
PDBTVTS READING ENTRY NO. 3
And now it works! My God, so difficult just start learning with a tutorial. Basically the tutorial currently works perfectly. Auto-created associations.

Creating file associations for attachments
De : Nadia
Some emails will not open attachments from people I know. I get a message:
This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the set associations Control Panel. I don't know how to do this. Can someone help me. This just started to happen in

DO NOT change the extension of a file type, because you will never be able to open this file. To save an attachment, click on file, save attachments. At the bottom of the window that opens is the place where this file is saved. You can change this location by clicking the Browse button. Once the attachment is saved, for example, in the Documents folder, navigate to that folder and double-click on this MAP. To open PPS files, you must have PowerPoint or the free PowerPoint Viewer installed. If you do not, go here:
http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=048DC840-14E1-467D-8DCA-19D2A8FD7485&displaylang=enOnce you have confirmed that you can open this file outside of Windows Mail, there is a difficulty to be able to open it inside the widows Mail:

Cancel the file association for extension .lnk to origin of the "unknown program" settings
I got interrupted and changed the file on the extension .lnk association to my browser. Now, all shortcuts open with the browser.
I need to restore this file associated with the unknown program.I tried running system restore, but it fails for reasons unknown, but probably because of a call to a .lnk (?) file
No details on editing the registry to correct this errow would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not allowed to change any combination of files for any type of file... If I try to associate a file type with a program that I can't the box is grayed out to always open the file with this program, for example, if I try to open .py (programming in python language file) with python from another program whenever I have to right click and open with python, but if I want to choose the "always use". the selected program to open this type of file"is grayed on I can not change it... pls help
Hi VikkHckrz,
1. you remember to make changes to the computer recently?
Method 1:
You can consult the following KB article and run the fix it tool available and check if you can assign file association.
When you run an .exe on a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950505
Also check out the link:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-which-programs-Windows-uses-by-default
After running the fixit so check the option is grayed out or not.
Method 2:
If you're still having problems, then you can try to change the settings in the registry only if it is present on your computer and check if it helps.
a. Click Start, type regedit in the search box and press ENTER.
b. navigate to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer
(c) in the right side of the screen, double click on "NoFileAssociate".
d. change the value of "NoFileAssociate" from 1 to 0.
e. exit the registry editor and restart the computer and check.
Important: The above mentioned steps show you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, follow the steps from the link below:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/back-up-the-registry
Hope this information is useful.

Windows won't let me not reset the file association for the .iso files
(Inadvertently), I changed the default program for iso files in windows Explorer and I am unable to change it back. I tried to delete the registry for ".iso" and he always acknowledges as a file from windows Explorer. When I go to the Menu 'Open with' by do right click and choose the program by default, the box to make the selected program, the default is grayed out. I try to open the disc in burner program, but the file still shows the icon from the windows Explorer. A funny glitch happens when I try it... hundreds of explorer.exe process openness raw computer. I wrote a small program to kill them all and was fine... but I really want to solve this problem, so I don't accidentally double click and create this glitch. I'm looking for any answers, but understand that I cannot solve, but learn. What is a fish without the ability to catch it?
Hi Assimilater,
Follow the steps below to solve the problem:
Method 1: Change the Control Panel file associations
See Microsoft Help article to the following address and to change the programs that Windows uses by default:
Change the programs that Windows uses by default
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-which-programs-Windows-uses-by-default
Method 2:
Do a System Restore to a restore point prior to the show and check if you can get the computer to the top and work.

File association for. BAT files
In Windows 7, I have (inadvertently) involved a text editor with the. BAT extension file, so 'Open' opens the editor rather than the execution of the file. How to restore the default action? The association program. BAT file has been previously marked as "Unknown", but the file association dialog does not allow deletion of an association, only to change an association.

You cannot change the file association for .exe owner program
Just bought new Win 7 Dell desktop running Home premium OS from an old XP computer file transfer. I am a developer of s/w using a proprietary application that compiles the files of .xpa. Using 'open with' when I try to associate the file .xpa at our request, it does not. Instead:
1. the request does not appear in the list of programs to associate even if it has an .exe file extension
2. when I click on the .xpa file that I want to associate with the application, it is to be associated with a Windows Media file
Don't know what to do.
Thanks for any help.

Hello
I have read several articles on how to associate files with a thinapp but been completely missed something. Can someone take me through this step by step please, where files should do and what they should make reference. It doensnt need to be in a script, etc., I can do later once I know where thinreg must be and what controls are to indicate, for example, an Access .mdb file?
Help, please
JB
For example, let's say you have an Office 2007 package, you copied the files in the directory "bin" of the project at C:\VirtOffice2007. So, C:\VirtOffice2007 for example contain 'Microsoft Office Access 2007.exe', 'Microsoft Office Word 2007.exe' and 'Microsoft Office Professional 2007.dat '. You then run
thinreg c:\VirtOffice2007\*.exe
and after that .mdb, .docx etc extensions will point to the Virtual Office 2007 package, so by double-clicking a .mdb file should launch the virtual access application.
