file sharing of iMac iPad pro

I'm trying to transfer files from my iMac OS X to my iPad Pro 10.11.6.  I opened iTunes on my mac, plugged my iPad, iPad selected in iTunes, click applications on the left sidebar and I don't see any signs of file sharing.  What I am doing wrong?

Not all applications can do file sharing. Apps specifically are you looking for? If you have no one who can submit, share, then you will not see the section. Have you considered using iCloud drive? You must have iCloud drive turned on and be signed into the same account iCloud and on the Mac and iPad Wifi:

  • Dump an iMac iPad Pro song

Just to try, I wanted to make a song about my iPad Pro. I tried to find a music player on it, but - with the exception of the application of the music - I could not. I think the music app is a subscription service, so I didn't run it (free trial or not) that I do not need such a service and refuse to pay for play my own songs (Besides, it says that my library will be in the cloud - not here, it won't be). There was a simple passing a couple of older versions of iOS there because I had around 10 songs on my old iPad, but it doesn't seem to be a way now.

I don't don't need or want all my music on my iPad - only a few songs that I I want to use to set up a movie. I don't listen to music on the iPad.

I thought that I would try and air drop worked very well except for the fact that it placed my song (no video) automatically in the video/imported project from iMovie (No Audio). It's a little ridiculous. It took me a while to find a way to remove it.

So, now the question is: do I need a third-party application to simply listen to a song? Since there seems to be dozens, can anyone recommend a simple application: all that I need is 1) be able to import air drop to this app, 2) the app introduce myself with a list of the songs and 3) I can play one or all of them - I have need a 'radio' or something that will play back content online application.

Babowa, I use the application music on my iPad and my iPhone without subscribing to what either. I'm like you, no thanks. You should be able to use the music and turn down the Apple music. Can pester you a few times, but then he gave up. I have a large collection of CDs that I RIP to my PC via iTunes. Then, I am able to sync any music I want my devices without paying or by subscribing to music Apple, iCloud music library or such nonsense. Maybe this could help you?

  • My files shared between 2 XP Pro systems are more accessible between machines on my home network

Years I've been to access shared folders and disk drives (in My Network Places) from my laptop (when I'm home) to my home system which is basically just a box Windows XP Pro with a bunch of big hard drives in it.  Now, after having been away for a few weeks, I'm more able to access the shared folders and drives.  I went into MMC and made sure my security settings were extracted 'classic', made sure that auditors invited on both machines have been put to 'on', ensures that stocks are good, etc..   I just get a popup when trying to access the share (which appears in my network places) saying that I don't have permission to access the network resource.

This problem may have been exacerbated by the fact that I had a disk crash then outside and he did a restore of a backup (5 weeks) on the new disk drive.    But everything else seems to work very well, and this environment, which was the source of the backup image could access actions flawless.  Note that the use of the accounts that I have installed on both machines are the same account name, administrator privileges and password.   Note that I cannot access Windows 2000 environments with shared folders (3 other computers in the House) no problem. It is only the XP environment I can't get access to work.

I use the settings of workgroup (no domain).  Everything here is local to the House, through a LinkSys Router.  Internet is through the router using a DSL modem.   I run Kaspersky security/AV.  Notice when I disable the Kaspersky, I still can not access the shared devices.

I'm at the end of my rope.    Can anyone help?

OK, good news and some not very good news.

I tried to restart the service, the drive mapping, etc. - nothing has worked.  However - the error that I got when I tried to map a drive was not "enough storage server.  I looked, and sure enough found some entries for 2011 event IDS in the event viewer.  Searched for and found a KB Microsoft Q17707 article (or 17708?) who described it as a problem caused by Symantec NAV (no surprises).   In addition to research, I found the registry key that irpstacksize is eliminated!   I've recreated the DWORD entry in the registry with the default value of 15, and the problem persisted.  Then I discovered someone on some forum that said increase until she started working, so I put up (50 decimals) and voila!  The problem is gone and I can now access the shared drives on the computer from the computer laptop, apparently reliable.   (although this forum said that the problem seems to come and go on some machines, related to the use of major external USB drives. Sounds reasonable, because recently I started using some USB drives of 1 TB for backup images external on the laptop and the service).

So... for the moment, the problem seems to have disappeared.  This forum said, it's some kind of bug, Microsoft, and Symantec pointing the finger at the other as the cause and who is responsible to fix it (nothing new there), so I expect to arise again some time in the future, very probably at a monumentally inopportune moment.

    Thanks for your help.

  • iPad Pro can I open and save files to dropbox/Google Drive

I want to use the iPad Pro as a professional tool. I want to be able to save Pages/Keynote and http://bit.ly/joc0zm (all IOS apps) to and from the iPad.

I'd rather do it via Dropbox or Google Drive. I can do this as well on my MacBook and iMac. So, what gives?

This is a critical flaw in the ability to use the device correctly. It is not a problem with the Pro Surface.

I need a solution. It's unprofessional in my opinion.

    So, what gives?

Did you use an ios device before?  iOS works differently than OS X.  There is no system of separator file for the user to interact with.  You must look into each app to see how the application saves files.   Look for the icon of the export.  A box with an arrow on the top.  TAP etc.

Where are you stuck?  What workflow does not work? Describe.

Have you downloaded the dropbox app on your ipad?

Procreate.  If you can no longer export to Dropbox, you will need to contact the authors.

    • The sharing and integration of workflow:

-Export the work of the canvas, or simply drag to export or select the picture in the Gallery

-Export to AirDrop, iCloud drive, Photos, iTunes, Twitter, Dropbox, Google Drive, Facebook, Weibo and Mail

-Print directly from http://bit.ly/joc0zm with AirPrint

-Export to or import from any extension of the cloud service

-L' export as file native .procreate, PSD, PNG or JPEG transparent in layers

  • No, my problem is NOT solved: still cannot sync photos iPad Pro iMac

I posted this question yesterday and after a response (which was not helpful, although I appreciate Rudegar after trying to help me), mysteriously, my question has been marked as "Solved" in the list of issues, so it is unlikely that more people will look at this thread. I can't understand how to remove the "Resolved" tag, so I write my question once again.

I am trying to sync the photos selected from my iMac (running the Mavericks 10.9.5) to my new iPad Pro (12.9 inches model, set to update to iOS 9.3.1). I connect the iPad to the iMac, launch iTunes (version 12.3.3.17, it is said), select the iPad in iTumes, click the 'Photos' tab to the left. On the right, I chose 'Selected files' and in the 'Files' window below I have check all boxes for the folders that I want and click 'Apply' if that is or 'Sync' if it is the only display option.

Each time, a few photos refuse to move to the iPad. It's always the same, but I can find no common feature (e.g., bad post or large file size) which would explain why these photos are not going while the rest will be. Usually in a folder with 20 photos, between 15 and 20 will move the iPad. But why not the rest? It's really bugging me. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad, turning works, quit and restart iTunes, and even those who are used to synchronize in a special folder is unique. No luck.

    Can someone help me?

I'm having the same problem Peter.  Brand new iPad Pro 9.7 inches, bought today, running 9.3.1.  MacBook Pro from Yosemite 10.10.5 running.  I always use iPhoto, because I prefer it to Photos.

All my pictures and files sync very well with my old Air iPad via iTunes.  However on the new iPad Pro, not all photos can be synced through.  It stops just at halfway synchronization through 3000 photos.  If I get that about 1500 of them.  As you say, some folders have missing photos and I see no reason why those missing synced not everywhere.   I tried all that you tried too.  It's crazy, and I'm cross considering that it is the third all-new Apple product I bought within a year, which has caused me problems with bugs in the software.

  • Can I use iPad Pro to work on the book ID file if I save on CC?

I'll be traveling and have a book project, I may need to change down the road.  Is there a way I can download the cover and inside the book files to the creative cloud, with all related images and make changes to this file from my ipad pro?  I have ID CC subscription for my office iMac, but don't know if there is a mini version of ID for the iPad or an app that would allow me to read these files and make changes to my ID 2015 CC files so I would welcome them in the CC from Adobe?

Thanks for your suggestions!  I'm leaving in two days so would like to quick answers.

No, there is no version of all of the creative Cloud Office who are available for iOS or Android devices, including the iPad Pro.

Applications such as InDesign CC, CC Illustrator and Photoshop CC are much too large and demanding of RAM to run on any tablet or Smartphone.

You need a laptop to carry desktop versions full of these applications for a real work project.

  • I could use advice > iPad Pro or MacBook... recently sold my iMac 2008

After moving into a small house and my computer needs to be changed (is no longer need to use Parallels on my computer), I recently sold my iMac 24 "(early 2008) 3.06 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo with 1 disk hard solid state of TD and 6 GB of memory."  The computer has served me extremely well but was getting older and we really need the space in the second room that leads to my dilemma.

Before making a purchase, I am trying to decide if I can use an iPad Pro as my computer at home or if I have to buy a computer laptop (MacBook, MackBookAir, or MacBook Pro).

The computer would almost exclusively home for boating web, e-mail and download family photos.  I do not edit the video, video game, or use spreadsheets at home.

I thought about trying to use an iPad Pro but getting the opinions of people in the Apple Store as said couldn't you sync/backup for iCloud via an iPad, an iPhone but I could not just of backup to the phone with the application on the phone?

Also with photos on the iPhone or a Canon camera, could I directly download them on the iPad?

I apologize for my lack of knowledge, but I was too comfortable on the iMac for the past 8 years.

Thanks a lot for any advice.

It is strictly a personal choice

If that's all you do on your computer

t exclusively at home for web browsing, e-mail and download family photos.  I do not edit the video, video game, or use spreadsheets at home.

then a Tablet is fine (but this is not a computer and cannot do many things a computer can do)

You can save any IOS device with iCloud backup

You can keep their libraries of synchronization using iCloud photo library

You can download pictures from a camera to any IOS device using the device of connection camera - import photos using camera Apple - Apple Support adapters

And you can play on any IOS device and you can do worksheets on any IOS device or iCLoud.com

Foe me I use my MBA for photos, e-mail and browsing the web - but you can do everyone on an IOS device - I just find myself the computer easier and faster

  • With the help of Excel files on my iPad Pro: content not supported

I downloaded from my Windows laptop, 10 some Excel 2016 files in Microsoft OneDrive.

When I try to open these files on my 12.9 "256Go LTE iPad Pro I get the following message from Office 365 Excel:" content not supported this document contains content not supported. " To modify a copy with this content, double tap.

This happens regardless of what file download. Is there a default setting in my PC Excel file that causes this error? What can I do to prevent this?

As soon as I get to a place where I have 4G LTE, I'll try to upload a blank Excel spreadsheet to OneDrive and try to open it on my iPad Pro.

    Any help is appreciated.

What type of excel files are these (xsl, xlsx, xslm)?

Is it possible to plug a USB to my new iPad Pro, to transfer PDF files and some Jpeg files from the USB key with an adapter of lightning? If there is NO adapter, how can I get these files on the USB key and my iPad pro? I need these PDF files transferred my I touch pro. Any suggestions?  Please

The iPad does not support USB keys. There are some wireless flash drives that can be used, but not the classical records. I suggest you transfer files to a computer and their synchronization then back to the iPad via iTunes.

  • How can I set sharing of files between two iMacs?

I want to set up the sharing of files between two iMacs in my office. Both work on iOS 10.11.3 and both are on the same WiFi network. I'll Finder, select the name of the other computer under 'sharing', then ' connect under... ". ", and then enter the name and password of the other computer. On a computer, I am told that it is connected with each other. However, the second computer always shows "the connection failed". I tried the 'Registered user' choice of "Guest" and "using Apple ID", but none will establish the connection. There must be something obvious that I'm missing, but I wasn't able to find out. I also tried to see if they would communicate with Bluetooth. Bluetooth screens on each computer show the the other is detectable by the proper name, but is never establish a connection.

    Connect to the same network.

Enable sharing of files on both machines.

Select the items to share on each machine and check the box in the dialog box information.

  • Logic remotely (on iPad Pro) is no longer connected to the iMac GarageBand

Is no longer able to connect to my iMac using distance, just put logic to update on my iPad Pro. It worked before the update only a few days ago... Not excited about it, however, I find the GarageBand update for iOS very useful.

Someone else has problems of connection on their Mac or iMac using logical iOS remote?

A little more info... Looks like my iPad 2 Air is able to connect to the iMac, but not the iPad Pro, even if two iPads running the same version of iOS and have the same version of the logic of distance!
