• Ways to speed up the import from iphone?

  I'm under with the last update on my iphone 6 s.

  Import about 400 photos takes almost half an hour.  Whereas, with the Photos app its less than 10 minutes.

  I heard that Lightroom does more with the photos then import the photos as face detection XML sidecars geo-tagging app etc.  But all that is impossible after import?  Is it possible to get just the things on the phone/card in order to eject and go about my day while Lightroom makes some other analytics picture he wants?

  Based on the only time wherever I left Lightroom Import from my Android phone, my recommendation would be to manually transfer the images from the phone to the computer, then let the LR to import the images from the hard drive.

  If I have the iCloud photo library on my iPhone and not my MacBookPro and import pictures from the phone on the MacBookPro (using the lighting cable and version 1.5 of the Photos), what would happen if I then turned on the iCloud photo library on the MacBookPro?  It would seek to download all the photos on the iClould photo library even if they were already here, through the iPhone?

  I don't think so as long as you have not changed the images anyway, it must check the identical photos. I did it myself.

  No chance! Exactly the same problem occurs; "Unable to display previews" and when something is selected for import, the IMPORT with Lightroom feature is grayed out. Lightroom has to be FORCE QUIT to restart.

  Many have posted with the same problem, then it is certainly a serious bug that Adobe has ignored.

  Someone at - IL from Adobe monitors these forums to resolve this bug, which did well through this recent update!

• LR5 on iMac, attempting to film 'simple' import from iPhone fail.

  Will repair permissions, cold restart and try again, but several attempts have failed.  Even dragging the films of the 'Photos' database in LR.

  And it worked.  One other change I did - I used a better and is cable went DIRECTLY to a USB port instead of via a little iHome USB hub.  Sorry for the wasted post.

  The procedure I used in the past:

  LR told me that there are no photos to import from my iPhone SE (when he had worked without a hitch).

  1. Open the pictures on my MacBook Air and tried to import.
  2. A dialogue was told that my computer did not get access to my iPhone. Must have been upgraded iOS 10?
  3. Unlock my phone (while it is plugged into USB), pictures began to appear in the import of Photos screen.

  Try to import the videos in the Image Capture instead if iPhoto and save them in a folder of Capture of Image.  You can capture Image import them? You can open the videos imported in QuickTime Player?
