files in folders Fxx show in my itunes directory.

can someone link me to an explanation of the Fxx files on my ipod. When I scan the itunes directory on my PC I see music in a directory on my disk c/ipod_control/music/Fxx - so I'm curious what the hell.

iTunes saves titles with four random letters file names in folders Fxx and writes data to the device so that it knows where to find things. No doubt, is to prevent the iPods used to casual piracy. Have you copied manually content of the disk of the iPod in C:\?

  • I'm unable to open files and folders, they show with green text

I was running windows vista and pc is dead.  I formatted the Windows 7 pc and managed to restore a large number of my documents but anyway (I have no idea how) some of my documents & records seem to have become encrypted.  They appear in green in the list of folders, and many of them seem to have the attributes "AE".  I tried everything to decrypt, but nothing seems to work. Can some one guide to remove encryption

I don't know why a folder or a file would suddenly become encrypted.

However if a website could tell you how to decipher it, what good encryption would be.

What happens when you double-click one of the folders or files?

If the files are encrypted, really, I don't think he has that you can do without the key.

  • Show hidden files and folders option does not

I'm trying to access a hidden folder, C:\programdata\... I can't see it in Explorer. When I go into control panel > folder options > discovers... the option box to display hidden files and folders is already selected.

I tried to change this option to not display hidden files and folders by selecting the radio button, and then clicking on apply. Then I exit the menu display. However, when I return to the menu display the radio button beside display hidden files. That is to say it is not "saved" change.

I changed other elements in the advanced example view menu Hide extensions of known file types, and it works very well.

I was not able to find this problem in the forum. Of course, I have restarted my pc. I don't know when this problem was that I don't often get this hidden folder.

  • Cannot change show Hidden files and folders option, continues to come back to hidden

Original title: activate the hidden files and folders. -Registry problem! Windows 7

I had a meeting with a virus, which had a game with my registry so that I cannot view hidden files and folders. Whenever I click on "View files and folders hodden" and then click on folder options, it is by default to "do not show hidden folders and files". I've been browsing around, find people who give advice and I have seen some changes, but it STILL keep diverting back to do not show.

    I am running Windows 7 Profesional x 64

There are a few default values and checked in 2 subfolders in the shadow folder.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden

Any help from people who know a little more about the registry that I do, would be greatly apprechiated.

    Thank you.

    Nick.

P.S. is there a tool to repair/reinstall just a specific part of the registry? aka. Replace the folder hidden by default?

    Hi Nicolas,.

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Check if the following registry value exists.
    a. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter.
    b. look for the following registry:
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
    Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
    c. click the SHOWALL folder in the left pane and check if the CheckedValue element is present in the right pane and if the value set on this is 1.
    d. If CheckedValue element is missing in the right pane, and then right-click in the empty area in the right pane, click New-> click on the DWORD (32 bit) If your computer is running 32-bit Windows, 64-bit by clicking another value.
    e. name the item that you created as CheckedValue.
    f. double-click CheckedValue element and type 1 in the value data box, and then click ok.
    g. close the registry editor and restart the computer.
    h. turn on hidden files and folders to see if it works.
Important: Modifying the registry incorrectly will cause serious damage to the computer. Back up the registry until you make changes.
Step 2: Online virus scanner and check the result
    a. visit the Scan of viruses online
    b. click full service scan and complete the scan.
    c. restart the computer once the analysis is complete.

  • How to display the hidden files and folders even if I've already enabled "Show hidden files, folders and drives" to "Advanced settings"?

How to display the hidden files and folders even if I've already enabled "Show hidden files, folders and drives" to "Advanced settings"?

After I enabled "Show hidden files, folders and drives" in 'Advanced settings', I can't yet see in the folder but I know there is a file in this program of WinRAR folder form as pictured below where I opened the case both at the same time.

Hope you can help in this case...

It would be possible that the file is marked as a system folder (which is just a check box in properties such as the hidden check box). So in your folder options, uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files" and see if it will be visible.

Or another thing to try: remonter back a level, hold down SHIFT while you right-click the complete file and choose "Open command window here", then type DIR to see if the file is listed.

  • All files and folders show hidden after virus corrupted hard drive XP

I recently got a virus on my laptop which made all the files and folders hidden and says that my hard drive is damaged. I managed to get rid of the virus, but all my files are always hidden. I went to my computer and made sure all the hidden files are visible. This fixed the problem a bit. My main problem now is that all my files and folders are slightly transparent. It's a more of a nuisance than a real problem. I downloaded a program that would allow me to change each file in groups, but it would take an extremely long time to go by a record throughout my entire computer. I was wondering if there is any means possible to put all my files and folders hidden not Hidden to get rid of their transparency.

    Hi tessagourden,

ؠ What is the service pack installed on the computer?

    Try the methods below:

    Method 1:

Run the checker system files on the computer. Link, we can see: Description of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 System File Checker (Sfc.exe): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747

Note that: if he asks you the service pack CD, follow these steps from the link: you are prompted to insert a Windows XP SP2 CD when you try to run the tool on a Windows XP SP2 computer system File Checker: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900910 (valid for Service pack 3)

    Method 2:

You may need to create a new user account and check if this may help, for the steps see: how to create and configure user accounts in Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/279783

If the problem is resolved in the new user account and then follow the steps from the link below: how to copy data from a corrupted to a new profile in Windows XP user profile: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151

  • I changed user names, but the files and folders show again old name

I got my sisters computer and changed the name of user (jb-administrater) account, but when most of the programs have access to my files and folders that they are still called jenifer documents, how can I change this?

    Hello

    ·         Where have you changed the name of profile?

This is normal in windows, and unfortunately, we would not be able to change.

When you rename a user you just change the user account, not the files and folders associated with the user. Let's say you have USERA. USERA has also a C:\USERS\USERA folder that is associated with the user account. When you rename the user account to USERB, USERB has an C:\USERS\USERA folder that is associated with USERB

Step 1: I suggest that you create a new user account and check to see if it helps:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account

Step 2: Copy the data to the new user account by following the link below:

    Hello

    ·         What program Antivirus do you use?

This problem may also come from Virus/Malware infection on the system.

I suggest you to run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if that helps resolve the issue.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    Note:

The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

  • Re: Qosmio G - hidden files and folders is not displayed

Hi people, I have a few hidden files and folders, which I was able to access the front and I used to click on the "organize tab" display, advanced settings, display the files and folders to hide or show hidden files.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem, I just can't access my hidden files and folders, even when I go through this method.
someone help me please as soon as possible...

    Thank you

    Hi aaz911,

First of all, it would be nice of you if you post information on your laptop model and the operating system. This must be done always to get a detailed response.

In any case, I never heard of this problem, but make sure that all files will be displayed:
Start Windows Explorer > tools > Folder Options > view and enable the following options:
-Files and folders hidden: display the hidden files and folders
-Hide protected operating system files (this should be disabled > unbranded).

In addition you will find these missing files by using Windows search?

If this isn't the case, I suppose the files are deleted from someone or due to a virus. :(
