  I use Chrome for find and UTorrent to download files torrent bit through my regular internet service.

  I use Firefox to find and UTorrent to download torrent files bit through my internet VPN service by proxy.

  Both browsers are excellent to find the files I'm looking for (usually the TPB) and wen I click on the button 'Get this Torrent', both browsers view 2 pages related with UTorrent.

  With Chrome, the target file is quickly "given" to UTorrent and download is performed as expected

  With Firefox, however, the target file is NEVER 'delivered' to UTorrent (I waited an hour just to be sure, it wasn't an incredibly slow process). I've recently upgraded to Firefox 40.0.3 and never had this problem before this upgrade.

  Your suggestions and advice is required... Please be gentle, I'm sure that most of you have already figured out I'm not in the category 'exceptionally skilled user '. I appreciate your time and consideeration.

  First, re - install the torrent program. Make sure that the installer
  takes care of file associations.

  Bit torrent running or using the file, if so I don't think you can remove it until the file is released.

  You also check the permissions on the file by visiting the propertise of files and the Security tab to see if your user account has permission to the file?

• What should I wear to the front with ATT and Airport Extreme?

  I have AT & T Uverse with an Airport Extreme.

  EI is implemented as a bridge, because it wouldn't work otherwise.

  I went into the game/NAT on the router/modem ATT layout and tried to activate some ports to forward.  Then I check the port and find that it is always closed.

  Someone here would be able to offer assistance with problems?

  I do this to try to send large files to a friend VIA files torrent based, although it does not seem to allow me to seed.

  Before ATT I got time warner and my own modem and router combo, and it works wonderfully in this configuration, so I can only the assertion that the issue is somewhere in the new place from the material.

  Now, if I try to download a standard torrent, I have no problem, but try to make my own with the trackers who have worked before, there is no dice.

  However if it worked before, sometimes a refresh can restart:

  1. go to: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

  2. open your default folder

  3. delete or move the file to another folder: mimeTypes.rdf

  4. re-start Firefox backup

  5. open the link once again, you will be asked to associate with a program

  6. Select your torrent program

  Hey guys, I was wondering just because I have the same problem except that all my programs have been redirected to opening through bittorent and may not open at all. So my problem is that I can not open the command or whatever it is with an extension and simply do not understand what to do to fix via bittorent or something. its says could not load "program" invalid torrent file, but they are not torrents, I don't know what to do. Please help im begging you this is a new old pc for a few weeks.

  Hello Steven,

  Thank you for posting.  I've shared you post because it was not tied to the thread that had posted you in.  The fix easier to your problem would be to uninstall your torrent client and then reinstall it.  This should reset file associations so that they open properly.
