  • Why Camera Raw 6.7.1 in CS5 will not recognize a Sony DSC RX100M3 Raw files?   The Camera Raw site indicates that this device is covered.

I have a new Sony DSC RX100M3 and Camera Raw (6.7.1) in Photoshop CS5 (on a Mac) does not recognize this camera Raw files.  What should I do?

RX100 III said he is taken in charge only in Camera Raw 8.5 or newer, which will work in Photoshop CC.  In fact, none of the RX100s are supported in Camera Raw 6.7.

  • Photos does not recognize the Sony Handycam

Until yesterday, when I connected my VCR (Sony Exmor R) on my Mac, photo open and offer to import new clips. Now, he does not even recognize the device contains clips. (She sees it as an external hard drive but I can't get my picture).

    Hello noemiebill,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that your Sony camera is not recognized in the Photos for Mac.  I would like that you perform the steps below for assistance.  Even if the title of the article is for iPhoto, the same steps apply to Photos.

    1. Make sure that the camera is compatible with iPhoto.
    2. See the documentation for your camera to see if there are several modes that the camera can use to communicate with the computer via USB. Some devices have a mass storage mode, and some devices include an option to place the camera in mode photo-transfert-Protocol (PTP). Try each mode to see if the camera can be recognized by iPhoto.
    3. Make sure that iPhoto and Mac OS X versions are updated. Mac OS X updates include additional camera support.
    4. Turn on the camera and connect it to the computer. Check system information (in the Utilities folder) if the camera is shown as connected by USB.
    5. Open Capture of Image (in the Applications folder) and see if the camera is recognized in this application. If your camera is still not recognized by iPhoto, check if the camera has a removable storage card, such as a Compact Flash (CF) or Secure Digital (SD) card. If so, you may be able to mount this card and read files photo from the Finder, if you have a USB or FireWire card reader connected to your computer.

  • filmmaker will not save project

I am trying to save a project with windows movie maker so that I can put it on dvd. Whenever he gets to 92% and then displays one of the following values:

    does not

Unable to save film sorry - lack of find the files or remove unusable items in the project

computer does not have enough memory

The file is1033MB & consists of JPEG & MPEG & music files. I'm sure it's the latest version of movie maker had as only the pc since Dec11.Have tried to save low resolution but still no joy.

Any suggestions, this is so frustrating - I removed almost everything from the laptop in order to free up as much memory - showing only 1.42 GB of free disk space. Please answer the easy to understand format that I'm not very focused on the pc (although my son-in-law also tried to solve without success!)

You posted in a forum XP, so I think you
Run Windows XP? I was expecting
an old system of 6 months for Windows 7.

1033 MB would be a huge project file... What is the
This file format (extension)? It is possible
the project exceeds the resources of your
System. Creation of much smaller projects can be
    your solution.

BTW... 1.42 GB of free space is practically none of these
days... maybe it's time for a bigger hard drive. 50%
free space is what I prefer to maintain.

Also... I would suspect incompatible source files.
MPEG files are problematic in Movie Maker. If you
get to use MP3 files for your music... they
    can be problematic.

Best bet would be to convert the MPEG files to
before you import into Movie Maker WMV format.
The MP3 files must be converted to WMA or WAV.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
    Video - wmv
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

There are many converters available on the net... some
    free... some detail.

The following freeware converter is just one example:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Format Factory (freeware)
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Format_Factory
(the 'direct link' is faster download)
(the file you want to download is: > FFSetup295.zip<>
    (FWIW... installation..., you can uncheck
('all' boxes on the final screens)
    (Windows XP / Vista / 7)

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
    Drag > FFSetup295.exe< out="" of="" the="">
and drop it on your desktop. To install left click.

Next, after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
    are converted)

Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

Select "all to WMV" / OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

    Good luck...

  • My new Sony Vaio PC does not recognize my Sony Handycam DCR-HC19E model. I have no installation CD. How can I connect two devices, please?

Previously, I had a Fujitsu Amilo PC operating Windows XP Professional. I had no problem with these 2 devices of connection. Now, I bought a Sony Vaio PC

Windows 7 Home Premium and it can not recognize my webcam. I bought a cable iLink (hama), but without success.

    What can I do, please?

    Hello

    Method 1.

Connect the device, run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter and check if that helps.

To open the Troubleshoot utility equipment follow the given link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

You can also check the updates available for your computer.

    Method 2.

    Install a USB device: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/install-a-USB-device

    Refer.

You need to contact Sony support to get the disc because it contains software of camcorder. You should also check the camcorder manual as it contains instructions to enable the USB setting in the camera for it to get detected in Windows 7 computer.

The KB article for the Sony camcorder is:

  • filmmaker will not completely save in wmv format...

I can see my movie in the slide show and change the format, but when I go to save the file to .wmv format, it takes about an hour to 20 minutes of video, and the only parts of the video will be saved.  I only get pictures up to a point, then it goes black, but the music continues to play.  VERY FRUSTRATING!  As I worked on this video of 20 minutes for more than 3 days!  My 1st saved version only played photos for 2 minutes, then kept playing music 18 minutes left.  2nd registered version played photos for 8 minutes, then went blank and kept playing music, 3rd version played for about 12 minutes, then deleted with the music play for 8 minutes... trying a 4th save now!  What's wrong?
