  To display the filter nodes, you must select a filtering event. These are the ones that end with an exclamation mark and have a red glyph.

  For dynamic events, you must click on the node for event registration (when the event is actually registered) and choose to not block the FP.

• Variables of IPS events

  I started to do my rules, so using the variables instead of the IP address or IP address ranges.
  I use a variable in the filters 'events of Action', but I don't know if you can use 2 variables. For example, in the screenshot, here I would use 2 variables $ windows domain

  Unfortunately where a variable can be used. you need to create a variable that matches all your critereas IF possible. for example summarizing networks instead of match on several networks etc...

  There is a bug in application development open for this CSCsb03854, it is not actively worked on however that this is an enhancement request and so it has lower priority than other bugs.

• Disabling native ring drop-down

  Does anyone know how to disable the native drop-down list of controls of the ring and enum. I work (disabled) when I use the event filter and throw the mouse down event. I pop up my own fall down in a sub VI in this event and it works perfectly. However, when I try to get mouse support for this control via an event loop control, I can't throw the mouse down event because it seems to ignore all the events that are configured for this. I if a timer in case case would give me enough time to receive the event into the loop of surveillance, but unfortunately not good it (never fires). Maybe I should describe a little better:

  I have two event nodes that are put in place to trigger on a mouse down event. The first is filtered to remove from the drop-down list the current LabVIEW. The second loop is top sink my code for my own downfall. This works perfectly for each type of control, I want to (string, digital) except when labVIEW runs special background code for the menu drop down. Why LabVIEW destroyed the mouse down to all the nodes in the event if only one is filtered. I can use the mouse event and it works perfectly, even if I need the mouse down to the additional functionality, I already coded and works. I have a way around this, but I WANT it to work that way for various reasons. I want no additional code in case of loop as a queue or messaging to build to handle this. It would defeat the purpose of my experience (of which I'm sorry I can't be more explicit in the details).

  Why must my code be found in the events node in order to make it work? If there are two nodes of events registered for the same event, they both should receive them without worrying if one removes it by filtering. right?

  A dark place in the LabVIEW help file:

  

  To filter events, LabVIEW send event sequentially to each structure set up for the event event. The order in which LabVIEW sends the event filter to each structure of the event depends on the order in which you record events. Each structure the event must rule on the case of event before filter LabVIEW can prevent the next structure of the event. If a case of structure of event changes the event data, LabVIEW passes the data changed to structures of later event in the chain. If emissions of a structure of the event in the chain of the event, LabVIEW does not pass the event of any structure of event remaining in the chain. LabVIEW complete the user action that triggered the event configured only after any event structures treatment handle event without throwing.

  For example, you run the vi with the filtering event loop before running that the vi with the event no filter, the filter event loop would first register (register of events using a vi containing the static events).   Changing the code to save the two events as events filtering and without mods on the first lap of the event should allow you to act first and then filter then.

• Do the same function as the example of menus to cut short except with ring menu...

  Newbie here: I want to create a sliding menu much similar to that of the sample menu shortcut of Runtime (in the finder of the example) except with a ring of menu instead of the list box which is used in the example.  I have a ring with 8 values in menu and option 3, I would a secondary menu that slides on the side that displays another submenu.  Is it possible easily/efficiently?  I'm looking at other alternatives, but this option would be best for my application from one point of the user.  Any help and examples would be appreciated.

  What is proposed in this example, it is how you can modify or create your own menus for runtime (aka the context menus or context menus) for a given control.  Basically, you customize the menu, then use event to manage what to do to the menu selections.

  Now a ring menu control is a different beast altogether, BUT it looks almost exactly the same thing, so I can't see why the two might be confused.  As far as I know, there is no support in a ring of menu for several levels of menus.

  Often I find that effective design labview GUI (and good design, in general) works best with a compromise of what you imagine to what you can do easily and simply.  Flow like water: find a native control behavior that is * sufficient *.

  But! Here is a hack that might get what you want.  Looks like you want the multi-aplomb to a context menu accessible but without going through right click?  Use a 'mousedown?"filtering events to replace a left click with the right button.  Now, when the user left clicks, labview will tell the OS that they clicked.

  Finally, I noticed a menu item "events and tasks > find Events" with no shortcuts like Ctrl-F, which I tried. That fixed it.

• Action filters IPS event - adding variables in the fields of the aggressor and the victim

  With regard to the Action event filters. How do you add variables multiple events to the aggressor fields and the victim? I use a comma to separate IP addresses (10.10.1.1,192.168.1.1). When I use a variable ($inside) I have not been able to add other variables ($dmz) or IP addresses in the same filter rule. Is it possible to have two variables in the same areas of the aggressor and the victim? I would have thought $inside, $dmz might work, but I get an error. I also tried $inside\, $dmz and $inside, $dmz and $inside \,$dmz but you get errors saying variable system not found.

  What a variable is currently allowed in a field.

  There is an enhancement request to support several variables in a field, but it has not been yet targeted for a specific version.

• Filtering synthetic events with filter?

  If you want to ignore completely all the synthetic events, it would be nice to do it already on the node generating the event, i.e. by using a filter. Unfortunately, it seems that events sent to a filter event cannot be cast to CacheEvent it seems that one cannot know if the event is synthetic in castant in this interface...
  
  Is there another way to do it or is the possible detection only after the event was delivered...

  Filtering synthetic cache events is not currently supported; However, an enhancement like this request was opened (COH-3030)
  to add support to allow the MapEvent to be cast to a CacheEvent.

• Filtering of events which are transmitted

  In the area of management under Event Forwarding, I am transmitting specific events by using the filter in the destination edit box. If I add something like (text matches) 'security' 'error' etc, I can test with "Run interactive Analytics" and get loads of events. But when I hit save, it sends all data and has an idle state.  I leave for awhile, and nothing is sent.

  Also, if I remove the filter, it starts sending everything very well, just too...

  Am I missing something here?

  They are allowed with the matches operator, they are not allowed with him contains a change of operator, as I suggested and save on Event Forwarding and it will work - I have a blog post about this planned for next week. Note you will NOT be able to test on HERE given the changes matches to contains - if you want to test and then after making it back to AI, replace 'contains' 'regex matches. I hope this helps!

• Why can I not see projects listed in the title of the event

  When I create and event, and then create a project in this case I don't see it listed in the project/library "Libraries" on the far left. I don't see the icon of the project to the right where the staples. When I click on the triangle next to the event there is no listed project. How can I do if the list has event and the project below is falling down?

  Hi all, I am facing a strange behavior when you change an old program written in CVI 7.1. CVI 8.5 is installed on my machine, so the active execution engine is one of the most recent version.

  If you change the program in CVI 7 IDE, I found that a table receives events still undefined in this version. Specifically, it receives a EVENT_MOUSE_POINTER_MOVE event when the mouse points control; I also noted an EVENT_LEFT_CLICK_UP event. I did not the specific tests for other events.

  He is an annoying problem with a simple solution: just by adding the line

  If (event > EVENT_MARK_STATE_CHANGE) return 0;

  at the beginning of the function removes any possible confusion due to unexpected events; reception of events in the IDE, both in the compiled application.

  Having noticed this fact, there are two issues I'd like someone can answer:

  Q1: is this expected behavior? In other words, the events are coded inside the runtime engine so that I have to consider my controls will receive the events mentioned in the TEN running? I wonder if I need to add the output line of filtering on all programs that are likely to be running the RTEs more recent than the version that they were built with: in other words, the compatibility declared with new RTEs could lead to unpredictable behavior.

  Q2: is this consistentbehavior? In other words, I can rely on these events passed to the controls exactly as if the application was developed in the more recent IDE?

  Yes, this is the expected behavior. I realize that the reminder to receive new events when you install a new version of the CVI is probably not an obvious side effect, but it's a side effect of the architecture of the CVI runtime engine. As mentioned by jr_2005, that is why it is important to respond only to specific events in your reminder. As mentioned by ebalci, you can work around this by using a local RTE by copying the version of this editor, you want your application to use in the same directory as the executable file.

  However, if the recall does respond to specific events, this behavior should be no problem. As you have noted, it is only when you have the code in an event of default, or outside the switch statement, as it can cause unexpected results.

• Calendar events hotmail disappeared days corresponding to the monthly calendar

  My hotmail calendar displays more events that I posted in my monthly calendar display.  They appear at the far left of the first day of each week in the monthly calendar.  They appear correctly in all other views of the calendar.  This just happened recently.  What can I do about it?

• How to filter events by their details?

  I've created several filters in Event Viewer. However, some events have several 'fields', as 'account name', 'status', ' status', etc. I want to clarify some of the filters based on these fields. How can I do this?

  Thank you for your response.  It gives me a better understanding than the data stored on my computer that may be able to help me, and you have introduced me into a player.  I've posted the system log here and it includes hundreds of lines.  However I do not know how to make it visible to you.  I checked it to share and the only file that is serious is one that you brought me to download.  Although I have not found the answer to my problem, I found your advice gave me a better understanding about the tools that are available.  Maybe I'll get to understand how to use them.

  Please provide more information for your issue to be diagnosed.

  Restart your computer and wait 20 minutes for the system to operate before you download information. When the review much, not Event Viewer log files all problems show in the period immediately after the computer has booted.

  Please provide a copy of your system information file. Type the system information in the search box above the Start button and press the ENTER key (alternative is select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, system information). Select file, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Not to place the cursor in the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new information file system each time system information is available. You must allow a minute or two before the file is completely filled before exporting a copy. Please download the file to your OneDrive, to share with everyone and post a link here. If the report is in one language other than English, please indicate the language.

  Please download and share with everyone a new copy of your log System of your event viewer on your disc one and post a link here. It allows to avoid confusion if you delete all previous copies of the log files of your OneDrive.

  To access the system, log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window, expand Windows logs and select System. Place the cursor on the system, select the Action in the Menu and record all events like (the evtx default file type) and give a name to the file. Do not offer not filtered files. Do not place the cursor in the list of reports before selecting the Action from the menu. Do not clear the logs so that you have a persistent problem.
