Find a folder from an EXE

I am preparing to build an EXE used for data acquisition. In some of my VI I currently broadband path up to five times to get a folder that contains the configuration files. When I turn this into an EXE file, is this hierarchy still present, but not visible? Or, if I want to find a file that is placed next to the EXE, make I band just the way once of a subvi within an EXE file?

If you use the 'current path of screw' constant, you have actually undress twice to get the folder the EXE is in the path.

    Hello

    1. do you receive this after you see Start button or entry?

2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?

Method 1: Boot errors are fixed by the clean boot.

Perform the clean boot and see if that helps.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

Reference: How to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: when you're done to diagnose, follow step 7 in the article to start on normal startup.

Method 2: Some malware parody itself as InfoCenter.exe, especially when it is located in the folder c:\windows or c:\windows\system32.

I suggest you make a system full scan just to be sure.

Here is a link that will give you information on how to perform a full scan of the system:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

, Note 1: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note 2: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Hello

Can someone help me, I am trying to open files and folders, and all I get is Windows can't find C;\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe and stop me so gains access. I was told that I could find the file on another computer stick in my memory stick and reapply, only problem I have is I don't know where its located. I'm on windows XP.

    Thank you very much

Thanks for the suggestion, Lisa!  I tried the link but it says page is more noticed.

You happen to know any other solution for that darn missing file?  I can't open all the apps in my control panel! ACK!

Someone found a solution to this problem yet?  Thanks a lot for any attempt to answer!

EDIT: I GOT IT!  Browsing the internet, I came across this answer:

Find a copy of rundll32.exe in the folder c:\windows\system32\dllcache or c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386.
If you find it, go ahead and copy rundll32.exe in the c\windows\system32 of the system folder.

Otherwise you need a windows disk to extend this fichier.* *.

I have dd a search on my computer for the file "rundll32.exe" and he came in two different folders on my hard drive.  But it MUST be in c:\windows\system32 (file there lack of).  I found the file in the folder dllcache as shown above, then simply copied and pasted in the system32 folder.  And WALLAH!  Problem solved and control panel and all the rest works just fine now!  So simple!  I hope it works for you, the people who are still struggling with this problem!

    Hello

Rundll32 errors can be caused by malware.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
    cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run

  • Where to find the folder to virtual machines discovered?

    Hi all

I have a current ESX environment running with ESX server 2 and I do backup with VCB and Symatnec START agent. I noticed sometimes when I look in the list of the VM VC popluates for me all by making backups some of the fall of the virtual machine in the discovered Virutal machine. Most of the virtual machine that are in this folder are virtual machines that have been restored from backups, but he is blind. Some end up in the folder, others do not?  How do you find this folder so you can move the machine virtual autour and why would some restored end of the Vm by here and not others?

If you change your view of the inventory in vCenter hosts & cluster and models and virtual computers, this is where you will find the default folder called discovered virtual machines.  To create new folders just, you right-click and choose new folder, where you can drag and drop folder VM you want them to be.

In addition, during the P2V process, I think that you can select the folder.  I know that you can when you deploy the new vm.
