Find my Windows product key 8 and Dell service in general.

Hi folx, I'm new to the forum.

I have a desktop Dell dimension 3100 on win XP and in January, I bought an inspiron 660 desktop computer, but the service I am experience leaves many to be honest. They have no knowledge of my purchase, although I bought them online! My service tags are not recognized and I am now almost two months since I bought it; I can't access the support page using my service tag. Absolutely hopeless. What is the point to give e-mail addresses and tags of service etc., if they have no intention on a support, it seems to me that the only thing working at Dell, is the phone line, they don't seem to know how to upgrade its support page. I have sent countless emails and they answer simply say that they have failed to make any progress. Not the Dell company I know. I said to organize the uprising of the inspiron since they cannot support. Where can I find my windows product key? I can't find it anywhere on my computer, is there any way I can find it in the software? I tried to call Dell and they don't have a clue! I wish I had bought another PC now, anywhere but Dell. I bought it because I could not their fault on their support for my old dimension and (stupidly) thought things were the same. More wrong! I have since my old dimension work, so I need the manufacturer cannot support me with a new PC. I want a refund. rant on!

Here's how to find the product key:

Download Belarc Advisor, a free PC audit program with full support for Windows 8, which also functions as a key research tool. Unfortunately, locate manually Windows 8 product key in the registry is not possible, so you will need to use a program like this.

www.Belarc.com/.../advisorinstaller.exe

Free Key Finder programs to offer more tools like Belarc Advisor but please first try since I have upheld finds it correctly the product keys for Windows 8.

Note: Any search for product keys which announces support for Windows 8 will work for each edition: Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro, and most likely the two editions of Windows 8.1.

Installation of the Belarc Advisor, no matter what the instructions during the installation of the suite.

Run Belarc Advisor (the initial analysis may take some time) and note the product key Windows 8 posted in the section software licenses.

The product key of Windows 8 is a series of 25 letters and numbers, and should look like this: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx.

Note the Windows 8 key exactly as indicated for use when reinstalling Windows 8.

Important: Make sure that each letter and number is written exactly as shown. If even a figure is not properly transcribed, the key will not work to reinstall Windows 8.

I'll try to give my comment: If you use recovery media supplied and install the OS (Windows XP Home) on this way you don't need product key. If you are using original Microsoft installations CD given by the laptop product key help at all because this key number belongs to the recovery image.

  • Find the Windows product key (Acer Aspire 54T 1-471 T - R3)

I had Windows 8 when I bought this laptop. I have upgraded to Windows 10 later. Recently, the laptop gave trouble when installing an update Windows 10 (specifically KB3172729). Right now, it does boot to Windows at all and I'm looking to do a clean install of Windows 10. The problem is that I don't have the key. Is it possible to find the key for Windows 8/8.1/10?

    (a) it may be possible that the OEM key is embedded in the system BIOS of the laptop that can enroll in a new installation of eitehr o/s. If you went with the charging OF THE SAME PRODUCT VERSION as it was delivered on your laptop, the registration must be done automatically

    (b) If you have opted for a different version of prodcut is an upgrade, if can pick up your key (from BIOS) as part of the upgrade process

    (c) If you can get the operating system to start, even in "safe mode" so that you reach a CMD command prompt, you can run CMD as administrator and enter the command:

    WMIC path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey

which will display the key OEM so you can keep in your records.

  • How to find my current windows product key

I have genuine Windows 7 Home Premium installed in my laptop Toshiba. This came pre-installed.

The product key on the sticker on the back side is not visible now. How can I get my Windows product key?

I hope to see a response soon.

    Hello

Key Finder programs, Belarc, MagicJellyBean, etc. do not find a product key on a preinstalled OEM machine licensed (Toshiba, Dell, etc.) that is usable.

The key they find is the key that has been used on several machines with the production at the plant of Toshiba.

    _________________________________________

In these Forums, it is often recommended to use a magnifying glass and a flashlight to see if you can read the numbers of the product key on the label.

    These are your relocation options:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks and to reinstall the operating system.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

With a Toshiba, you press 0 (zero) to start to start the recovery process

    _________________________________________

Or make your own recovery disks:

    Windows 7

    1. click on start

    2. Select all programs

    3. Select Recovery Media Creator

    4. Select the type of media to use under Disc Set (DVD single layer, double layer DVD, or USB key)

    5. click on create, and then follow the prompts to insert the discs when necessary

Please note: when you create a partition recovery on a USB device, it must be a USB Flash drive that is formatted in FAT32. An external hard drive does not work.

    ________________________________________

The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

    See you soon.

  • Question about "Windows 8.1 DG to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit" and Windows product key

I have acquired a recnet ThinkPad T450 fdrom a retialer online (NCIX) and I hav ea a few questions about the installed Windows operating system.

Before I just go further, HRE are some information about my particular system.

    Lenovo ThinkPad T450

    Model: 20BV00BUS

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4300U

    RAM: 4 GB

Under the product description, it was stated "Windows 8.1 DG Windows 7 Pro 64." My understnading, the ThiknPad has been installed with Windows 8.1, but downgraded to Windows 7. There is also a Windows 8 Pro badge sticker at the bottom of the matchine.

Is it possible, at the end of the user/consumer, to alter the functioning ti repressive back Windows 8.1?

Can I create a recovery with Windows 8.1 disk?

A separate but related matter relates to the Windows product key.

I noticed the Ultrabook do not come with a sticker / label with the Windows product key (i.e. COST). Some quick research indicated that the Windows key is programmed into the BIOS.

This indeed true (I wish an audit)?

The key is visible in some way (for when you need to reinstall the operating system. I have not tried to enter the BIOS at the moment)?

Thank you for taking the time to consider my question.

    Kind regards

    Victor L.

    Hi Victor,

I'm in the same boat as you type, but want to keep the facilities of Windows 7 rather than pass them to 8. Just like you, I buy our Lenovo from different retailers and they come with windows 7 installed through the Windows 8 lower upgrade program.

We had one or two laptops come with a recovery media (for windows 8/8.1 only) but have noticed that all laptops now come with no physical media or codes for the recovery. WIN8 stickers, you described is more came with the license key on the sticker (it comes to stop you using the same license again and again, microsoft will get more money if you buy another license etc.). I also saw that the key is essentially located in the BIOS but were not able to test what we use any of windows 8. I use it even at home!

To answer your question, you can get a recovery of Lenovo for Windows 8 media!

Go to the following link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/lenovorecovery

(It help you understand why this method is used on this page as well)

    Select Start,

Please have your serial number of your laptop, (to find it go to this link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/find-product-name)

If you qualify (which you will very probably) Lenovo will ship for free, recovery disks give it a go, took me 2 minutes.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards, Max.

  • Where to find the 8 unique language of 64-bit windows product key?

    Dear,

I have Toshiba P850 with 64-bit Windows 8 unique language pre-installed. I could not find the product key on the back of the laptop, then I tried the Toshiba web site and find nothing, I also tried the Microsoft Web site and failed to find an answer.

As I'm ready to upgrade to windows 8.1 (only one language of course), I found the product key, always not sure if Microsoft will upgrade the single language version too, so, I'll keep waiting for an answer to this question.

By clicking on 'Show details in Windows Activation' I found a two groups of characters, but the 1st group is five asterisks. As far as I know, the Windows product key contains five groups of characters.

My concern is to ask if this version of windows will have a product key, if there is a product key, can someone tell me where to find it?

    My gratitude to all,

In Windows 8, the product key is now in the BIOS, not on a sticker on the computer. When you upgrade to 8.1, you need not provide the product key; You can find out for himself.
