• Deleted files and folders in Dreamweaver keep reappearing

  Help! After that I deleted files and folders in my Dreamweaver sites, they come back! This has happened for the last few weeks and I don't know why!

  I've deleted coming from within Dreamweaver, deleted from the Windows Explorer of Microsoft (on a PC - Vista) even the trash and when I click on a site in Dreamweaver, a small box appears real quick and they all show upward.

  Boxes say: link info from cache... and the other cargo box pops up and says: looking for new or changed files. You can safely stop this, if you have not modified files outside Dreamweaver... 4800

  1. Open the Site Manager to the top, and then select your Web site.
  2. Click the Advanced tab and local information to the title of the category.
  3. Uncheck the box "Enable Cache". Yes leave it off, it is more of a resource than an asset hog.
  4. Go to the bottom of the list of the Remote Info category and uncheck the "Maintain synchronization information" if it is enabled.
  5. Go to the bottom of the list of categories in Version control. Are you using and control solution version which could be the last recorded together rebuild? Solved? Isn't it? Continue.
  6. Under category, select Design Notes. Uncheck the box keep the Design Notes and then click on the button "Clean up...". ». Leave unchecked.
  7. Click the OK button to save your changes and exit the Site Manager. Release of Dreamweaver.
  8. Download CleanWeaver site GniDesign. This is a free tool from GniDesign who hunts on the _Notes on Windows systems files and removes them safely!

  We can try 2 things...

  1. click on start-> run, type &-> cmd-> ok. Now browse the path where your readonly file (easy to open file in my computer and copy the address, now in the command prompt, you can paste the path prefix cd.) It will be c:\ > cd .

  now Type-> attrib - r *. *

  This will remove all files readonly in the folder.

  You can check it by typing-> attrib

  now refresh your folder in my computer and check if it is not marked as readonly.

  2. you can try to take ownership of the folder again by the method listed in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421.

  I am the administrator of the account. I can't remove the residue of some programs because of this message. As usual made all the bits to find the answer on the forum of Microsoft and other sites. None of them helped me so far. I also tried the modified permissions and changed a key .reg property. But nothing happened.

  It is dangerous to change the permissions of system, programs and registry locations.  These are tight to protect against malware that exploit the administrative accounts and compromise the entire system.

  The "residue" would be solve by using the uninstall utility program.

  That said, if you do not need to manually delete a folder, just be vary close.  For example, appropriating and remove a specific program of record, not all of the "Program files".  Basically, do not apply a new authorization to all the program files just to remove one file of boredom.  If you keep in mind, you open any hole by making changes to the authorization.

• Disk utility finds several files and folders after formatting external hard drive

  It is somewhat an Enigma to me. I bought an external hard drive that I wanted to use to store my Time Machine backups. I formatted in Mac OS extended (journaled case-sensitive) without any problems, however, I noticed that disk utility indicated that I had 18 and 59 files (space used = 448,1 Mb)!  I ejected the disc, it reconnected and utility found 64-19 records to disc now! How is that possible? What is going on?  I used the 'diskutil list' command on the Terminal, and I found the following:

  It's normal. new disc format have information. When you start the firmware queries drives to see what is on them to find if they ae bootable

• I can't rename files and folders, or delete files and folders. Please someone has a solution, I run vista 64 k bits.

  The window in which I try to rename a file or folder freezes after I'm done typing the new name as soon as I right click or press enter.

  The same effect occurs whenever I try to delete a file or a folder as well. The window hangs and won't let me use the pc, but for internet browsers only and retarting the pc renaming it scheduled and are deleted.   2. Have you logged as administrator?
  3. You did any recent changes?

  I suggest you to follow these steps and check if that helps:

  Start the computer in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs:

  After acquiring a new iMac, I noticed a problem with the Finder - files and folders are displayed wrong (see table).

  This is what happens always after the files have been transferred from one folder to another. I was reminded of my days of using Mac OS in the 1980s when automatic setting of files was not so "automatic." I use Mac OS for decades and I don't remember the last time I had to think about GUI problems like that.

  Other problems in the graphical display of files and folders were introduced, such as when you have hundreds of files in a single folder, you end up deleting about 30 to 40 of them say in a particular section, and you end up with gaps of the ChartSpace where files used to be, that is the remaining files automatically rearrange themselves (fill in these gaps) - never.   Looks like your folder icons are not accommodating themselves automatically you plan to do. To me, this indicates that you have organize by the None value in the view menu. You can change the way files and folders are prepared automatically by clicking on view > reorganize by and selecting how you would like that fixed.

  I use Vista Home Premium (32-bit and 64-bit) on three computers.  Starting last August, the files and folders listed above associated began to appear on one of my computers.  According to Google, they are related to Microsoft Malware Protection, a piece of software that I have installed.  Records are now moved to six in total, and used storage space is more than 800 MB.  If I try to delete these files and folders, I'm told that I don't have permission.  (I am the only user of my computers and I have administrator privileges).  I started in safe mode, but get the same message of refusal.

  I looked at my software through the Control Panel-programs and features, but can not find such a program malware installed.  Given that these files do not appear on my other two computers configured in the same way, should not be needed.  How can I get rid of this mess, which continues to develop?

  To give the control is a two-step process. Take ownership and then to give permissions.

  Owner of a file allows the owner to change permissions even if they do not have the authorization to do so. It's the only thing that made property.

  If you use Outlook Express, then locate the *.wab computer.  If this is not the case, then you must be specific to the subject what email program you use, and what form of e-mail account you have and what operating system you are using, as your questions depend on this, and we have no idea if not.

  • What were the changes made before the problem occurred?

  I recommend you perform the clean boot.
   
  Configuration of your system in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.
