Firefox 30.0 not completely clear memory Cache

I run the latest version of CCleaner before every time I put my computer to sleep or shut down and now after upgrading Firefox to 30.0 I noticed there are still files in the Cache of Firefox, which has not been deleted. I have my browser set to automatically erase my history. I noticed this before in other versions of Firefox that I've been updated, but went away when new patches are released.

That are probable images you see in the Windows Jump list that show if you click on Firefox on the Windows task bar.
You will need to disable the jump list if you don't want Firefox to generate these images.

I tried to load a page which seems to have had a built-in buggy video ad, and now Firefox is stuck. Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • Firefox and Safari are not completely load some sites, but Chrome is. Why?

Tonight, I noticed that some Web sites have been does not completely load on firefox. I tried to use Safari to see if it was a firefox problem, but he had the same problem. However, when I loaded the sites on Google Chrome it worked fine.

I tried to reset firefox and clear cache, but it did not help so I uninstalled and reinstalled but it still doesn't load these web pages correctly. This just shows that constantly trying to load and pieces of the site are missing or broken. I'm on a Mac using Mountain Lion. I've updated the Java plug in, but it does not seem to have done anything to improve the situation.

Alternatively, you can try to disable IPv6.

You can try to reset (power off / on) of the router.

  • How can I clear the cache in firefox

I read that it is good to clear the cache from time to time

Firefox retains the last eight pages in cache to speed up browsing. For example, if you surf to other sites after the closure of one, but then come back later, Firefox that extracted from the cache instead of going to the Web to download.

If you clear the cache, then that will obviously slow down browsing a bit.

Empty the cache memory is more a troubleshooting tool really. If a site does not load, then clearing the cache can sometimes help.

To answer your question though, do the following.

    1. Click on the orange Firefox button, and then click Options. Options | Advanced.
    2. In the network, offline storage menu tab, click the clear now button.

If this answers your question, please click the button solved next to this post after logging in to the forum. This will help others looking for a solution to the issue.

    Thank you.

  • Technical support Adobe says never clear your Cache! DO NOT AGREE!

It is a warning to all users of Captivate to consider never clear your cache. Reported countless Adobe erasing files completely foreign to Captivate during this operation (even if you have authorized 100 times before and it was fine). In addition, empty the cache can also break Captivate.

In fact, I tried to clear my cache and it does break Captivate. It does not open after that. Technical support told me that all my files are gone forever! Fortunately, I was able to reinstall and everything was fine. But the tech support also me has simply never clear the cache never and now I know why.

Unfortunately, having a cache that overflows gives me continual "fatal errors" that crash Captivate every hour (one of the many joys of using this great program). But crashing is always better than losing all files.

Moderator: do not follow this advice!

I strongly disagree with this opinion, based on my experience as expert Captivate for a long time, using several hours a day. I wonder who gave you this advice, could you please send a name?

The cache fills up very quickly, grows to enormous size, sometimes less than a week. You have to clear it up, I do once a week, but I leave the cover intact for those I work on projects that don't present any problems. As you can see in my profile I was help users of Captivate for many years to solve their problems and empty the cache memory is one of the first tips when there are problems with the CP files.

The big problem is to change the default path for the Captivate files (in the field "publish in the preferences) and one in the cache (in the same preferences) which must be pointing to the files on the PC or Mac user, never in a folder on a network drive, or external. These records must be DIFFERENT. Only users who mess up the paths and choose the same folder for both ends upward with the lost files.

  • Clear the Cache does not work

I have 6.8 GB of Premium, V. 2.01 Revel, storage on my iPad2. IOS software is up to date. Clear the Cache does nothing. Storage assigned to Revel on my iPad is not affected br Clear Cache running. It is a big problem. Please notify.

If you are using a MAC, then you can check the State of the (s) library view and make sure that nothing is in the download queue. You can do so by looking at each library, click on the point to the left of the name. It will give you a status for this library. If you are sure that all additions are made, clear the caches for each library. You can have more than one library using the space.

On your iphone or ipad, switch to the view of the library for each library and look at the left icon of low clouds over the library icon. Beside that, you will see "updated" if she has completed synchronization. You can click on the cloud for more information.

You can also confirm the images are uploaded by signing into the same account using another device or a browser to www.adoberevel.com. Try to download some original images. If more loads are completed, you should see the new images download and be able to view them.

If the files are synchronized and empty the memory cache for each library does not help, I suggest that you remove the application, and then reload. Your photos will always be safe stored in the cloud. You will have some time to delay the first use you it because of the loading in the thumbnails. Please let me know if this reduces the amount of space used.

I checked and cookies are enabled. I cleared the cache. How can I add www.google.com to my allowed sites list? This will solve the problem?

    Thank you.

What are your cookies settings? For example:

Conservation rules: use the custom settings for history

    {X} accept cookies from sites
    Accept third-party cookies: always
    Keep until: I close Firefox

Some sites may not work well if you have disabled the 'third party' cookies (I don't remember if Gmail is one of those).

Have you deleted all existing Google cookies? You can do it from any page search on google.com. Here's how:

While displaying a page on the site, try either:

    • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > 'view the Cookies '.
    • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > additional information > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, google.com should be filled up automatically and you can delete cookies from the site individually.

Then try logging into Gmail. Who help me?

  • Firefox still does not not after the complete uninstall and reinstall

I use windows 7 and firefox did not work properly.

1 Firefox open a backup if I close. I have to restart my computer to open it again.
    2. no matter what I can not change firefox to be my default browser.

I tried to fix both of these problems by doing a complete uninstall where I get rid of all the files related to firefox and then did a reinstall of the thesis. The problems are still there. I need help especially to make my default browser firefox

Have you followed the steps when removing Firefox below?

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

      Click the close button

      ).

    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

  • For a future update, can you please add a feature that clears the cache automatically by exiting the application Firefox? (Much appreciated!)

See the question. That about sums it up.

Note that Firefox disables the disk cache if you use "Clear history of Firefox closing" to clear the cache, as you can see by the section of cache disk missing on the subject: the cache page.

  • the 'Clear now' button does not not on web content caching

I clicked on tools > option > advanced > caching of content, then clicked on the "Clear now" button > ok, nothing has shown that if the button does not work and there was no clear action.

This button to clear the cache is probably broken because the current version of Firefox 32 has switched to a new service named Cache2 cache.

This change will result in extensions that use the old cache service to stop working and its developer must update the extension.
You can see the site of Add-ons to see if there is already a version available that maybe is not approved yet.

You can also clear the cache via:

    • Firefox > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

  • 24 Firefox need to clear the cache on the exit option

I was going to enable the option to clear the cache at the exit and found this answer:

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/how-clear-Firefox-cache

However, in firefox, 24, the Privacy tab is totally different from this page. My option has 'tracking', 'history' and 'Bar', instead of just history and location of the bar. Under "History" there is that the drop-down menu has no the "clear history when Firefox is ' and the 'Configuration' button

Why this feature is removed from v24?

To view the history settings and cookies, choose:

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".

Note Firefox will disable the disk cache if you use 'clear history of Firefox closing. "

You can see that by the section of cache disk missing on the subject: cache and and in ' Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network.

  • Firefox redirects to the page after you clear the cache, reset, reinstall

Only in Firefox (checked in chrome and IE 10) and only on this computer, when I try to go to this page: caroliniancanada.ca/calendar, I get redirected to calendar.com.

    OS: windows 8

    I tried the following:
clear the cache, history, passwords etc. (I have deleted everything after support to the top of my favorites)
    start firefox in safe mode
start firefox in safe mode windows safe mode 8
    Reset firefox
reinstall firefox without any saved data or backup

    This problem persists.

I am running a Norton scan and will run malware bytes later. Nothing else that a few tracking cookies have been discovered so far.

    Thanks for the quick response!

    Before trying your solution:
    adding notes:
    - http://caroliniancanada.ca/calendar/ goes to the correct location (a php calendar application installed on the server)
    - www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar seems to open the google search for the address
    - http://caroliniancanada.ca/calendar or http://www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar open calendar.com

    After I tried your fix:
    - http://caroliniancanada.ca/calendar now redirects to the correct location
    - http://www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar still heading calendar.com
-the Web server SHOULD be redirect all traffic on the www to non - www.

    Conclusions:
I think that it is indeed a mistake to redirect to the server. I tried it again in a new combination on Chrome, and it seems that if I type in www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar or http://www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar I get redirected to a "not found" page which suggests calendar.com . It seems as if Firefox is simply force a reload in calendar.com rather than providing an error.

I am now able to reproduce this on my other machine of firefox by going to http://www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar , so I'll mark this resolved and try and understand what is happening with my redirects. Hair pulling yay! Need a haircut anyway...

Wow, what a frustrating way to discover a server error! Thanks again for your quick help!
