Firefox 30.0a2 doen't recognize flashplayer, unlike Firefox 27

I use Linux Mint 15 Olivia, I update my Firefox using the ppa:mozillateam / firefox-next, but it doesn't update my firefox at 27.
So I downloaded firefox-aura and intalled on/opt/firefox-aurora. Now I have the two 27-30 firefox on my pc. Well my 27 firefox recognize my flashplugin but firefox-aurora.

It doesn't seem to be a problem with the plugin itself, because it works very well with an earlier version.

I thought to put the plugin manually within firefox-aurora/plugins but it is not a plugins folder, and I do not know if just to create a "plugins" folder and put a symlink to my flashplayer plugin will work...

I have been using a 32-bit version of Firefox and my plugin is 64-bit, I did ' t he realize until try the firefox 30.0b1 that issued the error message when trying to load the plugin, so I discovered my error.

James, thank you very much for your help!

  • Had to reload operating system and applications data, now can't get firefox to recognize the profile data

My C drive (disk solid state drive), which held my operating system and data from the app crashed. I had it replaced, updated Win 7 to win 10 and have downloaded Firefox. I was able to restore my profile from a Mozy backup data and copied in the Firefox folder. But Firefox resolutely refuses to recognize. I tried using the recovery data from an old profile, but no advantage help page. Tried to use the Manager profile, but without success. When I go to Troubleshooting Information and click on file/Show profile, it comes up with a list of files (files starting with bookmarkbackups, which however is empty, down for webapps, which has the file inside webapps.json), then the files from addons.json down through xulstore.json and the file places.sqlite is 10 240 KB Although there is something in there, but Firefox resolutely refuses to acknowledge my profile, bookmarks, etc..

I'm out of options and ripping my hair out trying to get all my favorites, in which I have a lot of information such as the authentication of data for many favorite sites. It is frustrating that all the information seems to be there, but Firefox ignore all.

    Can anyone help?

Such a backup is perhaps a ZIP archive containing all the files into it if it is not a real file, but only one file.

Note is that you replace the file places.sqlite with a copy of the backup that you have to make sure to remove existing places.sqlite - shm and temporary files to SQLite places.sqlite - wal.
Ditto for the other SQLite files that you are restoring.

Have you checked the application.ini file in the backup?

  • Firefox still block Adobe Flashplayer?

I uninstalled my Adobe Flashplayer last month after that Mozilla has blocked. Now has been released by Mozilla?
    Thank you.

Yes, the current version (18.0.0.209) of Adobe Flash is unlocked.

But if you don't need, I suggest you do not to install it: less you have installed extensions, the better Firefox works and is safe.

  • Firefox for Mac does not recognize a valid SSL certificate

Firefox for Mac does not recognize the SSL certificate that is valid for this site, I got: https://www.georgeglazer.com. It gives a warning "not reliable." However, the Firefox for Windows does not give a warning. This happens even if I clear the cache and it happens in the Mavericks and OS of Yosemite. The certificate is up-to-date and with Comodo. Firefox for Mac is now the only browser producing these errors (v. 39, put updated) - Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome are not. Our hosting provider has said it's probably a browser issue, perhaps having to do with intermediate certificates in Firefox being obsolete. I really hope you'll solve the problem, as it's annoying for us when we're going to do right by our customers and pay for the SSL certificate. I have attached a picture of the warning and the other from what you see on a PC: a pop-up that says it is a verified SSL certificate and gives details about the issuer, the period of validity, etc.

COMODO should you sent a link to download the file 'bundle' containing the intermediate certificates. Who needs to go in the same directory as the certificate of your site. If you are using a control panel, your host can probably help with this process. And if you bought through them, shame on them for not taking care of this for you already!

  • How can I stop the sweet Firefox blocking plugin Adobe Flashplayer?

I use Windows XP. Firefox keeps blocking of the plug-in asking whether to allow the plugin to run Adobe. How can I get Firefox to stop blocking the flashplayer?

Good news! Adobe released an update yesterday to solve critical problems, he admitted were in the 18.0.0.203 version. You can get 18.0.0.209 on this page:

    https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

If you are using Windows, look for the line "browser plugin", and you can use the exe or MSI installer.

If you use Mac, there is only a single download to consider.

If you use Linux, unfortunately, the update isn't out yet but should this week

Although it is rare to have a block on the last available version, no one can promise that this kind of block will never happen. If that happens, if you are not accustomed to using the "Request to activate" feature a plugin, here's what to expect:

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

If you see a good reason to use Flash, and the site looks trustworthy, you can go ahead and click on the Lego-like icon in the address bar to allow Flash. You can trust the site for the time being or permanently.

But some pages use Flash only for tracking or play ads, so if you do not see an immediate need for Flash, feel free to ignore the notification! It will just sit there in case you later want.

The choice between save a web page, web page complete vs., HTML in Firefox Developer Edition x 64 version 40.0a2 seems to have disappeared. Your only choice seems to be to save a web page, HTML, or "All Files". I was able to do it before, but it seems to have stopped working for me as of June 5, 2015, possibly after an update.

Use these to save your commands. Then refresh.

These can not get your data back, but will help in the future.

  • 35.0.1 Firefox does not recognize that the last flash is installed

There was a series of updates to flash, and I kept with them as helped my package manager. However, firefox is not recognize later as the last.

topic: plugins, shows that the version is 11.2.202.425
My Package Manager shows that the version is 11.2.202.440

Firefox and my package manager agree on the way to the .so file. Actually, I copied the path to the file so on firefox and checked in the terminal and it is the version of the right package AND chains told me that the incorporated itself into the .so version string is the most recent. Yet, somehow, firefox really, really think it is version.425 instead de.440.

I restarted firefox. I even rebooted, even if it should not be necessary.

Currently, this version of Flash has been marked as vulnerable:
Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.440 and earlier for Linux

It's weird that package and everything: plugins page is different however.

This also occurs when you update to the latest: [11.2.202.442]

  • I have a key synchronization, have installed Firefox 28, but it does not recognize my account?

Ok. Firefox has been my main browser on my old laptop, but I ended up having to clean his hard drive a few weeks back.
Before that I erased the hard drive I saved a recovery key. He said not that I needed an account, just the key, that's literally all what I have. I do not have an account in firefox at the time. (Note: I'm sure I didn't have an account at least, because when I searched for an account on Firefox with only two emails that I use, he could not find an account under.)

Now that I'm trying to recover my old data, I read that I must download a pre-29 Fireox version, so I had 28 mobile Firefox, but this shit insists that I need a Firefox account as well as the recovery key to collect the old data. It does not recognize my new account info (that I just did when I downloaded the latest version of Firefox before realizing it wouldn't able to sync), so now I'm here. With a synchronization apparently useless key, an account of unnecessary synchronization and all my old favorites and passwords lost at the age.

I can do, or should I give up?

Yes, the user name (the e-mail address used after that weaving was being abandoned), passwordand recovery key Aka Sync key were all needed in the old version of Sync.

In addition, when you have created the new account of Firefox for the new version of Sync, if you used the same email address your previous sync account was wiped out data during the conversion to the new account from Firefox.

  • Firefox is not recognize my drive flash version 15.0

Hello. Today I got in trouble with Firefox is slow and crash/freeze whenever I played a Facebook game. He told me to download the flash update I did about 6 times today. He still does not recognize that I have. I looked in my control panel in Flash and I can't see what follows: version Active X 15.0.0.0.152 NPAPI plug in version 15.0.0.152. Record PPAPI version is not installed. (I looked that up and it seems that this is not for my Windows XP. The flash drive, I installed was 15X32_mssd_aaa_aih (i) .exe. This is the manual I have asked me to download on support.mozilla.org... then he gave me a specific plug-in. Even though I knew I got it, I tried to download the plugin. It happens to 66% full download and application in use error (because I already have) and it automatically opens the window of IE to try again. I know very well that I have the most updated version. For some reason any Firefox just don't recognize it. I restarted my computer. Earlier, I have reset Firefox and regave permissions on my plug ins. I had honestly never one fix, I can do. Help please. I'll lose my religion if it even worse me! Thanks to you all. Oh and as you can see there, it's say I have Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.0.5.146, which is not true. My Control Panel, Flash section disagrees and says that I have 15.0.0.152.

Lisa, I'm sorry that I can't find a download link for the old version of Flash Plugin 10.3 that I use, but I can't find it on the Adobe Web site.

Adobe Shockwave Player 12.1 is not the same thing as Adobe Flash Player Plugin, which is also known as the Shockwave Flash.

There is also a named Shockwave for the Director which is something else again.

And with different versions of Flash Player for - IE = ActiveX, Firefox = Plugin and Chrome = pepper, they couldn't do worse if they planned to confuse the average user, because they were able to do so inadvertently.

I curse Macromedia (which was acquired by Adobe) to use the name "Shockwave" on both of their programs.

  • When Adobe flashplayer wants to store data firefox won't let me respond to the dialog box? / flash player fiadobe settings dialog boxes not reponding

After you install Adobe Flash 14.0.0.0.25 when I go to a site that wants to store data locally, I am presented with a dialog box that gives me options: allow, deny, specify the isite. However, no matter what I click nothing happens. It's almost as if Firefox is not 'see' the click. I went into settings Adobe manage and added that the site as being approved, but it did nothing...

Best is to allow a Flash local storage in the world and use the default values.

  • I can't launch the flashplayer with the firefox 13.0r0 28.0. I've tried EVERYTHING! I can also not long-term archived player just told me to update.

running firefox 28, you try to run Flash Player 13.0r0, have the windows vista. At this point I can't make the logo to disable acceleration - that is the only thing I have not tried yet. All I ever get is that stopped the flashplayer and windows is looking for a solution... I also did the firefox reset has not worked. Is it fixable or do I have to buy a new modem?

You can check for problems with the current versions of the plugin Shockwave Flash and try this:

    • Disable protected mode in the plugin Flash (Flash 11.3 + on Windows Vista and later versions)
    • turn off hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
