Firefox 5.0 downlaoded and tells me I have yet to finish.
I downloaded Firefox 5.0 three times now and each time he said "thanks for the download of Firefox, but this version is obsolete. For the latest security, performance and feature improvements we highly recommend that you get the latest version instead. I'm just a little confused at this point. Your help kept me going in circles. What should I do to fix this problem. I am running Windows 7 and have NEVER had a problem downloading the updates of Firefox before. Firefox 4.0 downloaded and installed properly.
As a side note, this is my question. Your site keeps giving me the run around and beyond I disturbed at this point. I got about with the circles I run here trying to find what I can do to solve this problem.

My OS is Windows 10. I have Firefox 38.2.0 and it tells me that it is the most recent version. However, I got emails telling me to upgrade to the latest version which seems to be in the 40s. When I go to the https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ website, it tells me
"Looks like you are using an older version of Firefox."So I click on upgrade and it loads a file "stub". I close in Firefox, go to the folder where the file is located and run it. At the end of the process, he told me that Firefox still works and I have to close it for the new version to load. Then I go to the Task Manager, and he told me that no request to don't run! I went through this process three times without any positive result.
What to do?
I'll answer your question, but I suggest not changing your version of Firefox until find us out if having to do any with your plant, discussed here: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1078897
At some point, there are two different versions of Firefox:
- Public release of the standard/large: currently Firefox 40.0.2
- Extended support release (ESR): currently Firefox 38.2.0
The version of ESR is intended for companies who need maximum stability for their users. New features usually are not added for at least six months, although security patches are issued approximately every six weeks.
You want to switch to the standard version? If so, this is how I suggest to do:
Clean reinstall it
We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.
(A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 40.0.2 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).
(B) the release of Firefox (if any).
(C) to rename the program folder, either:
(Windows 64-bit folder names)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
TO
C:\Program Files (x86)\FxESR
(Windows 32-bit folder names)
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
TO
C:\Program Files\FxESR
(D) run the installer downloaded to (A). It should automatically connect to your existing settings.
Note: Some plugins can only exist in the old folder. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:
- \FxESR\Plugins
- \FxESR\browser\plugins

Original title: Windows has blocked a website!
I have Mozilla Firefox on my computer and I try to go on a site that I need to go to desperately for school work and it tells me that Windows has blocked the Web site. How do the Web site and how to unlock the problem?
Hello1. what happens when you visit the same Web site using Internet Explorer?
2. what operating system is installed on your computer?Given that it is a problem with Mozilla Firefox, you can contact Mozilla for better assistance. Here is the link: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new -
That's about all. If you would like more information I'll need some advice from you, such as specific questions. Thank you.
Follow these steps.
- Go to Download Firefox 4.0.1 and download the installer to your desktop.
- Then go to add/remove programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and delete it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations, etc. (don't tick the box).
- Reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- Finally, run the installation file downloaded previously on the desktop.
Your bookmarks, etc., customizations are stored in a different location and will become available to you even once you complete the installation.
After completing the installation, go to the Plugins check page and update if necessary.

I use Mac OS X Lion. I use Firefox for my research and organized many bookmarks into folders. All bookmarks disappeared after I've upgraded to version 11. I tried to find my profile as suggested in the forums and help documents, but I'm not. I have backups Time Machine of my entire system. Could someone please tell me what are the folders and/or files to restore to recover my favorites?

I start the Firefox browser.
When the start page shows, I get just below the Google search box:
You are not on the latest version of Firefox. Update today to get the best of the Web!Not unusual, but when I go on the site to update it looking for a minute and then tells me I have the current version of the software.
If you use the www.google.com/firefox as homepage site that previous versions of Firefox 3 use as homepage you can ignore the message about not using the latest version of Firefox on this page.
Google seems to keep this page.
The current versions of Firefox 4 + is no longer use this website from Google as home page, but use the build-in on: home page as the home page.
Google assumes that you are using an older version of Firefox if you still visit this site, and warns you that you are using an older version of Firefox and invites you to update.
You can use a different page than the homepage as subject: House or www.google.com or www.google.com/ig (iGoogle). -
Google tells me that I have an old browser not supported - I didn't - I have firefox 7.0.1. Google doesn't recognize a browser and head to the download of firefox - download and install - same problem.

original title: Flash Player
I have installed Adobe Flash Player on my PC (Vista), and every time I want the internet ((spécifiquement ferme ville,, sur facebook)) a box appears and tells me that there is a problem with an add-on that was installed called flash10c.ocx. How can I solve this problem? I tried everything I could think of. I deleted my cookies (and Add-ons), re-installed Adobe Flash Player and nothing works.
What browser are you using IE or Firefox or others? Sometimes special versions of Flash are required for browsers, and besides, IE 64-bit does not support modules including Flash, she, that is to say, it takes the 32-bit version, even on a 64-bit machine.
Take a look at IE / tools / manage add-ons and make sure that 'Shockwave Flash Object' is enabled.
Check that you downloaded the correct version in the first place.
