Firefox 7 is slow loading web pages (more than a minute and I let it go, but I went and they finally loaded) and IE their charge quickly. I tried all the solutions aid without change. I disabled Norton without change. I am running Windows 7.

  Please make sure that you gave permission for the folders listed in the article, follow these steps.

  1 - give read and write permissions for the Application Support folder and preferably on User Library and the secret library.

  2 - Add user and admin both permissions.

  When you open the Get Info option for specific folder.

  Make sure you click on '+' symbol, it will open the list of user accounts. Add currently logged in user account and Director of user account, if it is not added.

  Both must have read and write to prevent access these some questions in the future.

  Important:

  Once you added as currently logged on user account and administrator user accounts and provided access for reading and writing.

  Make sure you click on the gear icon and select apply to closed.

  Lock dialog box and close the Get Info .

  So that all the folders in the folder Adobe will get read and write access.

  Try creating a new profile as a test to check whether your profile is the source of the problems.

  There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

  I deleted the cache and cookies, scanned for malware (none found) tried to disable my anti-virus, block ad and other programs. That is, works very well with this site, but firefox will not load.   The page contains a style rule display: no for the body that completely hides it. It is supposed to clear at one point, but obviously does not work.

  To make the content visible, you can run a small script in the console, or save it as a bookmarklet for easy access, but also you should post this on the site in case they have not noticed.

  The console method

  Open the web console of Firefox under the page using

  • CTRL + SHIFT + k
  • button '3-bar' menu > developer > Web Console
  • (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Web Console

  Then paste this script and press ENTER to run it. Then, you can close the console:

  I have recently switched to Firefox to Google Chrome, and I find that I can't open all PDFs from the web in some way in Firefox. I can't download them and open them in Adobe Reader and I can't preview them in Firefox, or I can use the plugin from Adobe. I tried to use the solutions posed by users on this site, but none of them have worked. Whenever I have an amendment to the settings to try to resolve this problem, change never allows me to view the pdf file, and the setting reverts to the previous setting after the browser is restarted. I don't like how to display the file, but I need to be be able to see a preview or I need to be able to download it.

  I use an adobe download add-on, 3.0.0.2, and I have disabled. Now, I can actually open pdf files in my browser shows a preview, or download them as I see fit. Thank you!

  Thank you very much. I read the references you provided and followed your advice. I decided to remove the entire program of Firefox and other issues. As a result when I did a reinstall asked me for the first time that I wanted to import all saved preferences. This implies that on other occasions when I uninstalled then installed and has not asked this question that the 'normal' uninstall process does not 'clean' preferences etc. I checked it by typing "subject: config" in the URL and search on "browser.startup.homepage" to see what preference has been saved. Install previous it never changed to 'http://ggle.org.uk/FireFox-Tab.php?OVKWID=ff4', he's now my selected preference. I spent a lot of time on it. Thanks for your help.

• Bookmarks will not save. I tried all the solutions published to date, is there an add on?

  I noticed in the last few months that would save a number of bookmarks in the toolbar or bookmarks menu. When I closed firefox and then returned to his bookmarks were not there. It's as if firefox is blocked at a certain point in time. I use sandboxie but thought it would be that. So I tried to bookmark in the sandbox with sand and it's the same thing that the bookmarks are not saved. I tried to use the safe mode and save something in a menu of bookmark, that has not been successful. I tried different methods with the program on my computer I'm lost. I reinstalled it.

  One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.
