  • Why Firefox always opens with the last session tabs?

When I open firefox always opens with the last session tabs? How can I solve this problem?

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them are .html, .ini and .js, .txt, so you can see only file name without the file extension.
You can see the type of actual file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer.

My junk mail is to get term with mail that is sent using my email addresses. How can I stop this?

I can't block emails from myself, I sometimes need to send things, so I got them at a later date.

I know that I can view the source of the message, but I just want to stop this garbage that runs through for me.

    Can anyone help?

There is not really a way to do it.  Just like you cannot block spam from your mailbox home - anyone can send you mail and anyone can use a false address 'return' that makes it look like it came from you.

In fact, it is incredibly easy (only 10 letters typed) to send an e-mail that looks like it comes President @ whitehouse.gov.  That's how spammers do, because there is no check on email (I wish the people who invented the email 40 years ago had thought of that), but it is not just.

If you don't want to use a remote control with your computer, the best thing to do is just turn off the IR. (System preferences > Security > general, click on the Advanced button in the lower right corner - if the button is dimmed, click the lock icon and enter your administrators password)

If you want to continue using your remote computer, then you must match your remote computers with the computer AND the Apple TV remote with Apple TV.

To match a remote control with a device hold down menu and FF buttons together for six seconds or until you see an icon of the chain on screen (better take the computer in another room, or turn it off, when you do)

  • Some programs continue to save on & on even if I did not register, how can I stop this?

I had this problem with Media Center in Vista Home Premium for well over a year. Once I recorded a show, I find that it is set to record again and again and again once without putting myself to save. It's cluttering my hard drive and become a real pain.

This does not happen with every show, just a few. I've never been to "Series Record", I put only to record my shows, a day or two ahead of time and that is when I find a show sometimes has once more the value to save. Or sometimes I'll go to watch recorded shows and it showed that I had not put to save, Yes, it's a former title, I recorded in the past.

I've never had a new titled record shows on its own, only those who were registered in the past.

There must be a Medai Center file that contains the list of the recorded shows, if I could erase this file that should solve the problem. I tried to clear the cache & temporary files with various software hoping to delete this list but that did not work.

    Suggestions?

And you are sure that no show has been inadvertently value "series"?  You can check this in recorded TV > view scheduled > series.
Another possibility is that (especially if it seems to be completely random episodes), it is re-registration of the episodes that did not previously save completely (due to the failure of the system, the loss of signal or other error.)  If this is the case, clear the history of recording (via recorded TV > view scheduled > history > clear history) will correct this.

As for deleting a file: If the above did not solve the issue, Yes, it's possible.
Assuming that your PC isn't TV Pack 2008 (check in the MC: tasks > settings > General > on media center to windows > software version: If the software version 6.0.xxxx, no TV Pack; if it is 6.1.xxxx, you have TV Pack), to do this:
Close Media Center.  Open Services.msc.  Stop all the "Windows Media Center xxxx" services. "
Open Explorer.  Go to tools > folder options; Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and select "Show the hidden files and folders" > OK.  Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\Recording.  Copy the recordings.xml and recordings.xml.bak (recordings.bak?  It has been a little while, and I'm on Win7 these days...) For more security (just in case...) and delete the originals.
Reset the display options in Explorer they had before.  Close all windows and restart.
Windows will recreate the recordings.xml to restart files, and they are going to be empty - no entries.
