Firefox blocks the computer (/ questions/963963)

Hello!
I have a problem with Firefox H/W acceleration on my PC. When enabled, firefox hangs my system in the least expected moment (usually when I move my mouse just and stationary/point a link). I don't quite know what to do, because I love Firefox and there addons Firefox without H/W acceleration is just slow as molasses in January (especially on the sites AJAX and HTML5, it lags even during scrolling site).
Well... turn off the H/W acceleration seems to be the solution, but the work isn't as comfortable.
I have not noticed crashes during IE11 H/W acceleration enabled, and I couldn't check it out in Chrome just because I have not installed.

My specs:
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
CPU: Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 460
RAM: 16 GB DDR3

Try the pref gfx.content.azure.enabled set to false or if this does not help disable Direct2D by setting the pref gfx.direct2d.disabled true on the subject: config page and leave hardware acceleration enabled otherwise.

This way you still have the advantage of hardware acceleration, but can not suffer rendering problems.

Often, you can work around the graphic driver incompatibilities by disabling the use of Firefox hardware acceleration of graphics.

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

(WIN) orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > advanced

(MAC) Firefox menu > Preferences > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

If you restart Firefox, is the problem solved (or at least enhanced)?

Firefox shows me the site im trying to go to but part of it is blocked and I have to click on the icon next to the web address to unlock it how can I disable it so I never have to click on the icon next to the web address?

Have you clicked the button on the toolbar ('A') of the extension to change the background color of the icon from green to red?

Red means that you allow mixed content.
You should only set this red on the Web sites that you trust, and if the site does not work properly.

  • How can I disable doucuemnt expired at the time when firefox blocks the site safe before I go crazy

Firefox keeps block back to a search in free Reg (parish registers) page I have a first pass first the list of the results of research, but after opening for more details I get Document expired for my own safety and the document has not been saved in the cache very annoying. How can I urn it off please.

Each Web page that will not be cached (for whatever reason) has a statement "no cache" in the HTML Web page code - Firefox follows this "statement".

Two ways to not see that message "expired document.
    1. do not use the "Back" button But rather to use the context menu for this button and select the "previous page" by yourself.
    2. do not open a result of research in the same tab, open in a new tab instead. When you are finished, close this tab. The "search results" page / tab will show unchanged - and no 'document has expired.

  • Firefox blocks the entire system, then everything starts to run again

As above. Began to occur since v20 came out. Looks like a lot of people have this error.

Revenue to v19. Problems occurs as well.

Tried everything (from FF in safe mode, create a new profile, reset FF, uninstall and a new installation, start in Windows safe mode). Nothing seems to work.

It freezes again and again, only to resume normal service only to freeze up again. On and so forth. Really frustrating.

Can someone point to me if this FF problem or is there a problem with my system itself?

My system does not appear to freeze when FF is not running though.
