One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

Firefox cannot load Web sites but other programs can
By clicking on these buttons will not take the site beyond the first page. Rather than follow the link to the next page, Firefox returns the same. Works fine on Internet Explorer. Thought it was that a Java problem to the first update of Java has not been fixed. Appreciate any help.

Firefox cannot load Web .xml page, but IE it loads OK
When I try to access this Web site in Internet Explorer, it works fine, but in Firefox, I get the following error message:
In the unlikely event that you are reading this instead of see the structures of files, as expected, it means that your browser does not display the images correctly. Your browser must support frames for this working paper. It must also support XML and XSLT, as well as Javascript and CSS. »The site is: http://www.mcscustomerclub.com/xml/schema324.xml and contains a dictionary of data in the file.
The Web site is a resource protected by password, accept my user name and password but then gives the error message above. In IE, it displays the dictionary right after I entered my user name and password.
I have:
(1) cleared my cache and restarted Firefox
(2) Javascript installed
(3) in all: config, browser.frames.enabled is set to 'true '.
(4) deleted all add-ons, restarted Firefox and tried again from the site but did not workI tried in Firefox on my work and my PC at home (version 20.0.1 on both machines), and it does not work on each machine. On IE it properly displays the dictionary.
Nobody knows what is / could be the problem and how can I fix?
Thanks again for your response.
I found a solution so I can use the file in Firefox. I simply saved in Internet Explore to my documents in HTML format and set a link to the local file as a bookmark. Is not ideal because it means that I'll have to check updates and download them on an occasional basis, but at least it works!

Firefox is the only browser that allows me to connect with my microphone. I need to use this feature for an online class. Earlier tonight, the message invites me to grant or deny permission to site class to use the microphone stopped appearing and without this registration only will pick up all the sounds and I can't save anything.
I tried to quit and restart Firefox. I had a few extensions in use at the time, in particular Session Manager. The allow/deny message would not always appear, then I restarted my computer.
Now when I open Firefox, I see the message error "the bookmarks and history system won't be not functional. In addition, the browser loads websites extremely slowly; It takes several minutes to load each page or for me to be able to click on anything whatsoever (bar URL, menus, etc.) my other browsers (Internet Explorer and Chrome) are functioning normally and loading Web sites at a normal speed. I tried to download the latest version of Firefox, but it does not solve anything. I also tried to restart the computer again, but that didn't help either.
I ran my Avast software system check, and it has mounted as the following files under "C:\Users\ (me) \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Irozixj7.default ' are 'damaged and unreadable ':
-cookies.sqlite - shm
-cookies.sqlite - wal
-localstore.rdf
-places.sqlite - shmThere was one more problem on the analysis, but it is probably not relevant: the file "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Definition Updates\{9A2C6FA7-E04E-4819-B86A-8363A9D1E42A}\mpengine.dll" it says "the system does not have the specified path. When I tried to follow the path shown, one of the files (I can't remember who) said something along the lines of "you can't access this folder, you want to allow access to this file permanently? I said yes and was able to access the folder.
I tried to add the extension in Maintenance of places, but the speed is too slow to download anything. Trying to access any results of the menus in the Explorer freezing for several minutes then thaw but with the menu still unopened. As a result, none of the solutions found here (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional?esab=a & as = aaq) seem to work.
My questions are the following:
-Is it possible to understand what caused the problem in the first place?
Is there a way for me to fix it without losing my bookmarks and history?
-How can I prevent that from happening again in the future?First of all, I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox. You can copy the folder of your Firefox profile together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder. To quickly access this folder:
Help > troubleshooting information > "view file" button.
Then, to keep this file open, exit Firefox and try to move "damaged and unreadable" files to another folder. With the exception of localstore.rdf, which stores the positions of windows, toolbar tools and other data non-essential customizations, other files appear to be specific session files that we hope, are not critical. If you restart Firefox, should he behave more normally?
If this is not the case, try to create a fresh Firefox profile. It will be the Flash plugin, which is the control of sites use usually to connects to your camera or microphone and other plugins, but otherwise will be a new configuration. This article has the commissioning steps in the Profile Manager: use the Profile Manager to create and delete profiles Firefox.
If the sites are functioning normally in the new profile, you can import your bookmarks from your old profile, as well as the copy on the other files that do not appear to be the cause of the problem. Some trial and error may be needed to determine that. This article has a few tips: recovery of data from an old profile.
If the new profile is not better, you can exit Firefox and use the Profile Manager to return to your original profile.
Any improvement?

Firefox will automatically update to the latest version which is now the 32 version. I get the following error message: "Firefox can't find the server at us.data.toolbar.yahoo.com"preceded by "Sever not found" what is happening on any site web I'm trying to access. Reload version 31 Firefox works fine, but then it will be updated again.
Windows 8.1 is my operating system.
The latest version is 31.0 Firefox as the only way you would be updated to the current Beta build, which is Firefox 32.0b2 (b2 = Beta 2 as you can say six to 12 beta) build is if you were on the beta channel because of you install a beta version and that he continued to use it since. If you have installed the Firefox 31.0 is upgrade to 32.0b2 then the 31.0 you have installed is a Beta version (make sure the name of the file has not had to say 31.0b# because there were nine of betas) and not the Firefox 31.0 release say mozilla.org or https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
The typical reason for a new version (Windows) being not not able to connect after a new major version of Firefox update or install is usually due to a software firewall does not block the new .exe but it can stll have the previous version allowed.

Cannot search web sites unless I have reset firefox whenever I want to use firefox
Whenever I open firefox and try and perform a search on any web site, Firefox stops working unless I have reset firefox. I don't want to do every time, it does specify that when firefox upgraded to 20.0.1
It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

I have problems with just a few Web sites. They start to load normally but never completed. So I can often see all or part of the page, but cannot interact - for example, I can enter in an e-mail program (for example, Yahoo) and maybe to open an email, but I'm unable to respond. Or only a part of the loading of the page and then crashes. Or sometimes none of the page it loads just hangs for half an hour, showing a white screen. Other sites loading fully and normally.
What happened with the mail of Yahoo, Ebay, Hotmail and other sites.

Hangs for a long time in loading Web sites...?
Go to some Web sites results in FF hag for long periods. Like minutes. It crashes all the tabs and all instances of FF. A site with that I'm having problems is webmd.com. Hello
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.
You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).
Then perform the following steps:
- Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
- In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
- You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
- Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

Weird charges using Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Opera Web site.
Hello
I really need help with the following question;
I made a Web site in Adobe Muse, it has exported to HTML, and now I am facing a strange thing at the opening of the site. The site works fine on Safari and IE but when I go on my website using Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera, the page sort of "load" (not the content), then disappears and entirely. This occurs on all pages.
Here is the link to my Web site: (open in Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Opera to see number)
I tested it on Mobile, Tablet and desktop (all browsers), and for the time being this issue seems to happen on the desktop.
If someone could help me out, that would be great!
Thanks in advance.
Paul
