  A couple of days, I suddenly had a pop up stating that "this copy of windows is not activated" and give me a link to activate which seemed to consist of a binary file of WGA PluginUnstall. The "re" activation was timed so I have only today to activate, but I'm not sure why Microsoft suddenly wonder activate windows. The computer is a Dell with XP Professional equipped factory and worked perfectly for several years. Any help in this matter would be received with gratitude as I know spam related to his question of activation.

• Non-active Windows after update 8.1

  Hi, my all-in-one Dell Inspiron came with preinstalled Win8. Buy clips I got the pc for about a year and was forced to make the 8.1 update. The upgrade went well, but now I see a message that Windows is not activated. I called Microsoft and they said that it is a volume license key and I need the key to the retail. I called Staples - no luck, I call Dell technical support, and I am out of warranty.  Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you

• Firefox tabs 9.0.1 not in the title bar

  My tabs are below the menu bar. I saw on another machine that I have that the tabs are in the title bar, what I prefer.

  I checked the config: about, and browser.tabs fields are all resolved by default. I tried to reduce and optimize the window. I searched in the options, but can't find anything related to positioning tabs, other than the "tabs on top" (that I have). I tried "customization", thinking that I might be able to drag the tabs in the title bar, but no luck.

  I note that the title bar is a symbol of Earth firefox, not an orange tab, and the title bar is active, display of the current page that I am.

• How can I get the profile name in the window title bar?

  I have run several sessions of Firefox with different profiles.
  (I start Firefox with: firefox - ProfileManager-no-remote)

  I would like to have the profile name in the title bar of the window, so when I switch between windows and try to find the good session + Gnome3 acitivities profile, I can see the name of the profile.

  Is this possible in Firefox 10 somehow via configuration settings (subject: config) of a certain extension, or with a command-line parameter?

  In FF 4, 5 and 6, until today, the tabs were in the title bar where I want them to be. They are now under the title bar. How to make their return in the title bar? About: config, browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar; value of true.

  I wan't to upgrade my laptop for windows 10. When I want to update the 10 windows, installer will request a key from windows 10. My laptop is the default value of the box and windows 8.1 is also enabled and legal.

  I tried factory default of the laptop, the same result. I tried to upgrade windows 10 without a key, the result is a non-active windows 10.

  What I can do, the laptop is in a State of origin, but the upgrade will not work.

  Yes the media creation tool, but yesterday I've forced Windows update with commandpromp and that works.

  Strange, isn't it!

  With acrobat X, when you went to the mode full-screen, it would use the full screen. While I am disappointed that the acrobat xi osx version does not use the native osx fullscreen option, now, however, when you enter full screen, it always seems to be a title bar of the window in full screen (with the dots on the left and the name of the file in the center of the title bar). I have not found a way to disable this option in the preferences. Is this the new normal?

• Colors of the active & inactive title bar changing by themselves?

  Hi all

  At my work we use Windows 7 Professional but work from servers. I think our facility's Workspace Manager.

  In any case, we have no right to customize anything so we all have the same exact configuration. It's all together by the IT Department.

  Recently, I got a new machine, and since then, my active and inactive title bars went weird. Don't really care about the color they are however so dark that you can't read the text.

  The problem is that is not evident in all areas of windows. Only in 2 programs that I use and it is not the title bars that are the problem, it is the selected lines and not selected. Our IT Department is unable to understand it. It is not the programs because they do not have the ability to customize.

  So, every morning I have to go to Customize > window color > Advanced appearance settings and change the colors of the Active & inactive title bar that fixes it.  (HE allowed me to access it!) But when I log in the next day she goes back to the stupid colors. It's driving me crazy.

  

  It's not even the default color of windows. Also if I connect to another computer it is not affected.

  Does anyone know how to fix this? Please, I beg you!

• Why the title bar on Firefox and the Windows 7 taskbar let distorted image when a list of folders crosses one or the other?

  I use a lot of folders in my bookmarks list. I noticed that with AMD and Nvidia cards based on video, that if I use a folder in my bookmarks list that a lot, a lot of bookmarks, the bookmark list will cross the box title bar of Firefox and the taskbar in Windows 7 and down. When this happens, the title bar on Firefox versions 8-10 and the taskbar at the bottom let images from the list of bookmarks which do not disappear (at least that I have use F11 mode full screen to clear away from the image and bring it back to normal). If I use a Matrox video card, it doesn't. Why is this?

  Try turning off hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

  If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

  If I choose to hide the menu bar, I see the orange "firefox" button, but there is no windows title bar that has the min, max and X buttons. As this title bar is cleanly cut.
