Firefox crashed today the launcher bar is back! : P

Well, I had the help of the community to get rid of the bar of the Launcher on the bottom of my home page and it worked fine for several months, and then the other day, Firefox crashed and when I restarted it starts also throw up the launcher bar again. I tried the solution given to my madperson a few months, but now it seems not work even if I restart my computer.

This line in the userContent.css file should hide the bar:

"@-moz - document url("about:home") {#launcher {display: none! important}}"

When you look at the profiles.ini it seems that Firefox has rebuilt itself to search a different folder... 2lbb5bu1.default - 1348169446250.

Can someone come up with an idea to get rid of the taskbar Launcher on the bottom of my Google home page? THHHAAAAAANNNNK you!

This line should be in userContent.css and still works for me in Firefox 16

Customization files (interface) userChrome.css and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file
@-moz-document url(about:home){ #launcher { display:none!important; } }

  • How to stack Firefox tabs open (with small size) in the launch bar

    Hello!
Lately when I added the Mozilla's Firefox icon in the launch bar (on the far left of the taskbar), all open tabs were stacked (accumulated one above the other) in a stack is large or larger than the other launch bar icons (I opted for each application of small size). After you start Firefox and open tabs successive, smaller widths of tabs currently open more horizontally.  Is there a navigation to a function of change in back again?

In addition, now and then when I connect on Firefox, the connection of the homepage is Outlook, and I have to manually switch to my favorite Firefox/Google Sign In. How can I start to get rid of what I thought "86 'd", I had many times before? A small question, but irritating nevertheless.

OS: Windows 8.1 system had old version of Firefox, but is no longer in the list programs. • Firefox crashes when the flash is used.

Firefox crashes when the flash is used at all.
I've checked everything and it is only with flash 10.1.53.64 on the tree

== a site using flash is open

I use Windows 7 and I have the same problem. When I went to 3.6.4, Firefox would be to lock up whenever I tried to play any flash video. I have tried several sites and it would lock up every time I have to close by the Task Manager. I've updated the Flash Player and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing could solve this problem.

I read that they supposedly separated the plugins like flash in a separate procedure to keep firefox crash if flash does, but apparently they didn't do this right. I had to go back to Firefox 3.6.3 worm and flash works without any problem in this version. Seems that firefox must correct 3.6.4 since it seems he's messed up video flash for many users, if not most. It is useless if it can't play flash since almost all Web sites use this format!

  • 36.0.1 under Windows 7 Firefox crashes on the first click, can't kill processes

After the 36.0.1 on a Windows 7 computer, Firefox crashes after the first click on a link or when you try to open a new tab. I can't kill the process from the Task Manager. Need to reboot to get rid of the process.

My attempts to solve the problem so far:
Uninstalled Firefox & my anti-virus program, removed Mozilla dirs Program Files and AppData and cleaned the registry. Then reinstalled Firefox after the restart, still hangs on the first click on a link. Even impossible to kill the process, help to only to restart.

I tried on another Windows user; does not help. Still the same symptoms.

Thank you for your support. Given the quick succession of versions of Firefox, I just waited out 37. My problem is over now.

  • 25.0 Firefox crashes, unless the mouse is moving

25.0 Firefox crashes, unless the mouse is moving

People from bad news. While this problem is certainly wrong with 25 and 25.0.1, I also saw him on 24 on Windows 7 after downgrading from 25. The behavior on 24 is quite erratic (a YouTube may play very well once but freeze on the replay), but it's still there intermittently. I've ever seen before moving to 25 so my suspicion is that some of the damage by the upgrade (perhaps entries from registry or links to flash drive) which cannot simply be cancelled by the resettlement of 24.

  • When you search for tickets on Ticketmaster, Firefox crashes at the time where it is 'research notes' and not progress.

I'm working on a Mac with Lion. When I go to the website of Ticketmaster and the research to buy tickets, Firefox crashes on the page which States that "the search for tickets." I deleted my cookies, emptied my cache and reset Firefox disable plugins, but nothing has solved the problem. It occurs in SafeMode as well. I don't have this problem when using Safari or Google Chrome. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • The drop-down list on the navigation bar goes back in Firefox

I can't understand why the navigation bar on a site that I've just started going behind the image below instead of top it in Firefox.  It works fine in Explorer.  Help!  http://jeannettedutton.com/MLVC/index.html

    Jeannette

The drop-down list will also behind in Safari and Chrome. So I would say that the fact that it works in Internet Explorer is just pure luck (or quirks of IE) and FF, Safari and Chrome are entitled.

In general, the css property that stacks one element on the other is the z-index:

    http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_pos_z-index.asp

But I don't see any z-index used in the menu or the image rotation.

So if these two elements are z-index 0 default (no declared z-index), positioning will then have juvenile which item is displayed... rotating images cancels the drop... so to speak.

I couldn't test a good z-index applied to the menu, so I applied a negative (below zero) z-index to '#rotating - point - wrapper' (via Firebug) and got the menu to display on top of the images.

    z--index: 100;

So for the test, add a negative z-index to "#rotating - point - wrapper"... just to see the z-indexing can solve the problem." then if you don't like using a negative z-index, apply good z-index in the menu dropdown.

    Best wishes

  • Firefox automatically clears the address bar and leaves the cursor in the address bar whenever new web page is open

whenever I have open a new tab, or open one of my favorites in an existing tab or new, after a second or two, the address bar is completely cleared, and even if I clicked on a new text box or you press the space bar to scroll, I believe that it would start typing in the address bar. It started just past today after I restarted my computer.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • Firefox crashes immediately after launch

Help, please. Firefox crashes after launch after 5-10 seconds consistently every time. I tried things: refreshing Firefox from FF SafeMode (I don't have anyway all extensions), reinstall a new copy of Firefox, regenerating the restart, profile scanned for malware using malwarebytes, search for viruses using Kaspersky, both find nothing and done about everything I can think of and still EVERY time usually 5 seconds after launch It sometimes blocks something like 30 seconds if I'm lucky.

Any help would be appreciated. This is driving me crazy. I have provided the codes below. Thank you very much!

Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

  • Firefox crashing on the M8 a HTC with Android 5

Installed Android 5 last night on my M8 from Verizon, and while the installation went well, when I tried to start Firefox this morning, he crashed just after the launch.
I removed the app, thinking maybe it was a problem with the browser config or a timing problem and a new install always crushed.
I tried Firefox beta and crashed as well.
My phone is NOT rooted and I did have a problem with any other application yet.

I had to resort to Chrome and I'm not happy with it, please look at the issue if I use Firefox again.

Hi again, the update for firefox 36.0.2 addressing the crash to start on your device should now be available in the google game store.

  • 15 Firefox crashing at the start of the command line in Windows 15

I was loading my workspace through a batch file every day for 4 years.

This is one of the apps that I start Firefox using the following command:

    @start /D "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\" firefox.exe

My batch file run and close without problem.

Update Firefox 15, using the same order now links Firefox to the console.
When I close the console, the closing of Firefox, when I open again since the standard shortcut, I have the "Firefox crashed.

I also noticed that since the upgrade to Firefox 15, some calls to console.log go in the Console Windows while firefox is loading. In particular, is HTTPSEverywhere.

When I drove back to 14 of Firefox, the problem disappeared

As a temporary workaround, you can change the startup command to create a new command shell and run Firefox from this command interface. The following command will do what you need:

    Start "TempShell" / d "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" /B "CMD /C start""Firefox" "firefox.exe".

NOTE: Thunderbird 15 also has the same problem... and the same workaround.

It is possible that there is a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js file [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

If you see files sessionstore-# .js with a number in the left part of the name as sessionstore - 1.js then delete those as well.
Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

I turned off the antivirus and reinstalled the browser (latest version), but it still crashes.

I think I solved the problem!

It seems to be the new version of "protection avg: zen ', it is to play with all web browsers, is not search for viruses, closes the network connection and not to repair...
So I removed it and everything seems to work normally...
