  You might try using a new profile. It might be hard to go at least a whole day without your pets addons, bookmarks, and history... the bookmarks are fairly easy to copy.

  Create a new Firefox profile

  This is in addition and does not replace your existing settings.

  A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It should also come with fresh data bases of completely fresh settings and a cache folder.

  Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run) - type or paste the following and press ENTER:

  firefox.exe -P
  

  Do not delete anything here.

  Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

  Click on the button to create a profile, assign a name like April8 and ignore the possibility of changing the location of the folder. Then launch Firefox in the new profile that you have created.

  It might take some time to determine if the new profile works better than the old. If you want to import your Favorites from your regular profile in the meantime, here's how:

  You can use the dialog library (Ctrl + Shift + b or "Show all bookmarks") to access the restore feature. The trick is to know where to find your bookmark backups in your regular profile.   In my view, it is also reasonable to install AdBlock Plus, Restorer of classic theme, and Status4Evar, like those who, by themselves, are not likely to be at the origin of this apparently rare problem. But I wouldn't add all your extensions to the time in the new profile, and if many show extensions system installed, you can disable those you don't actually use.

  What graphics card to display that you have?

  Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

• Ubuntu 15.04: firefox crashes, plugin-container using 90% CPU, 11 GB of RAM

  Once in a while (maybe once a week on average), Firefox crashes suddenly, and check the 'top' shows that the plugin-container uses 90% and more of CPU and RAM (I have 12 GB of RAM). So I kill firefox and when I restart, it works normally again.

  For extensions, I only LeechBlock (and changes of Ubuntu). For plugins I have Flash, Java, OpenH264 Video Codec and (apparently) iTunes application detector. Flash and Java are both updated.

  Because the problem somewhat rare occurrence, I was not able to reproduce, or to track down any kind of cause, but I thought he deserved the description anyway; a web search doesn't show anyone else reported the same problem.

  The Flash Player and Java Plugins can be guilty. You must set them to "Ask to activate" so that they will work when you allow.

  I have a strong enough Linux system I find Flash Player setting to "Ask to activate" can still make a big difference as the Flash videos and ads will not play unless so authorized and I (i5 - 4690 k and 16 GB of Ram).

  Recently, I am facing a lot of quick firefox crash and I went through all the troubleshooting steps step, until I arrived (disabling addon-by-time, plugin by time).

  The problem had been solved almost when I took (ask to activate, NOT always enable) option for flash player, which is the latest version of flash player.

  I don't know if it is on the drive flash itself, or is it some kind of conflict between flash player and a few other addon/plugin that kept causing this problem.

  My windows is 8.1, without virus, fully updated system and hardware is fully functional without glitches.

  My question is: has anyone an idea of whether it's may be a conflict between flash player and another addon/plugin, what causes this problem? or it's all about flash player it self? *

  Sometimes there is a conflict between the version of the Flash plugin and an extension which affects its content, for example a downloader or ad blocker.

  It is a standard orientation which addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of them before in various support articles, but just in case:

  (1) If you have any recorders/downloaders who interact with Flash media to ensure that they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.

  (2) disable graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox and Flash

  (A) in Firefox, uncheck the box here and restart:

  "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced > General > "use hardware acceleration when available.

  (3) disable the Protected Mode. The function has the security benefits, but it is not compatible with all systems for some reason any. You can turn it off by creating or modifying a parameter file.

• Firefox crashes almost every time that I try to attach a document. Why?

• Firefox crashes after installing 29,0

  People,
  I installed 29,0 early Saturday morning (10/05/14) before the 29.0.1 patch has been published. Even after 29.0.1. installed himself, he continued to be planted after 1-2 minutes. I couldn't even keep it long enough to generate reports of crash and never had the crash report dialog box.

  Finally, I saved my favorites and uninstalled Firefox completely. Then I installed the 28. It has not crashed, more. Then I upgraded to 29.0.1, and now it seems OK.
  
  But, why did I have to go through all that? That the average user could do that? N °

• Firefox crashes after installing c. 28.0

  Just installed Firefox 28.0 for Mac (via the browser) and now can't restart the program. It crashes in safe mode, after a minute or two.
  I pasted the information since the last report of crash, I sent.

  Update your security related software Trusteer report . If this doesn't help not try to disable or uninstall. The Trusteer report software is likely to need updating for each new version of Firefox, but can't always update automatically.

  Trusteer is apparently aware of the problem and try to get updates.

  When Firefox crashes, it generally records information about what was happening at that time.   Everytime I open FF, it freezes completely within 5 seconds. I uninstalled and reinstalled, I deleted all traces of its data using Revo uninstaller & FF, then reinstalled and still get the same results. I saw where malware can cause this kind of problem, so I ran full scans with Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes, security of Microsoft and Kaspersky Security scanner Scanner.   You can try to Uninstall and reinstall Flash. If the problem persists you can also temporarily disable Flash in (Alt + T) Tools > Addons > Plugins and try the HTML5 videos wherever possible. Most of the videos without ads embedded have equivalents of HTML5. You can also try opening the problematic sites in IE Tab + or IE Tab in Firefox.
