• I just installed Firefox last week, because IE does not allow me to develop our website. This week Firefox is causing my computer to 'stall' except in safe mode!

  I am running Windows XP (don't laugh) and have been very happy with IE.

  I tried to disable all plug-ins and have reset several times, but nothing helps.

  The keyboard and mouse stop responding for a second or two before they jump into action briefly and continue like this - start and pitch - which makes Firefox unusable!

  There seems to be no great burden on the processor when this happens and no demand of memory!

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

  No matter what page I visit, firefox crashes immediately. There is no associated ID crash when I type "subject: breaks down. It will remain to answer on start firefox, but even in typing 'Test' page in the google search, will make the results of google to hang until it finishes loading. This happen to any site I went to. Here are the things I've tried:

  -Safe mode (always crashes)
  -Reset firefox (always crashes)
  -Uninstall and remove all traces of "mozilla". Reinstall (always crashes)
  -Disable Kaspersky (always crashes)
  -Use Firefox 31 instead of 34 (always crashes)

  I don't know what to do and all my turns search without results.

  Help, please! I go back to using Firefox again.

  Hi onceuponaderek, when you say that Firefox crashes, Windows 'No response' appears in the title bar, or what are the other symptoms meet you? Do you get unusual disk or CPU Meanwhile activity, or Firefox seems to be to do nothing?

  Can remember you something special happening before this problem, such as:

  • Other system software to a Windows Update or drivers?
  • Update your security software?
  • Changes to the connection to the network, including the private proxy or VPN, you can use?

  IM now running hp recovery. He ran at least the a minunite on the countdown and 89%, but the system seemed to stop. It was so for about 6 hours now. I don't have a disk to reboot. more there are a few very important issues on this subject.

  I had problems since late April and early May.  I have a high tower of HP Pavilion dv6.  When you try to start, the computer will show the Windows logo then a disappearance back quick page, then to the boot in safe mode prompt. I deleted everything that has been added since April with the exception of ITunes. I did a search of system and found that the infrared device consumer does not work.  I read a few posts, but do not seem to be able to try the suggestions around turning off windows system updates since the trouble began.  Is my only option the total system restore?  How can I get that since nothing came with the computer?

  Mac 10.5.8. I can't open FF - it crashes immediately. I tried to uninstall and reinstall FF and it still does the same thing. I restarted my computer too and started in safe mode. I have checked all the boxes in the window of safe mode and tried to continue and restart but just keep crashing. Any help is appreciated. I can't get FF to open so there is no ID crash.

  I got a message pop up saying I've been low on free space, I select the files to delete the computer option. He ran through the process and deleted files. I shut down the computer and have not used for a few days.

  I tried to connect this morning it took forever to get to the password page, when I chose my name once again it took forever to load the password box. He then told the welcome as usual, but for several minutes and then the screen turns off, I left for almost an hour and nothing. I removed the battery and connected in safe mode that began end.

It was off and I have to restart and it started in a loop.  Starts booting and then display the "xp" logo and then the screen looks like it lights up then goes back to the start screen, then back to xp logo and it never loads to the bone.  can't go in safe mode or anything.

  I need help. 7.0 FF crashes at startup / launch every time, even in safe mode of Windows XP.

  I've initially automatically upgraded to version 7.0 the FF of the version the latest version 6. This automatic installation crashed, then I downloaded again v7.0.

  I uninstalled my existing installation of FF6, including personal settings and ran Setup v7.0. He appeared to install successfully, but crashes at launch. I repeated this process several times with the operating system restarts without success.

  I also ran FF in safe mode of Windows XP, but have experienced the same crash at the launch of the application. FF now display only the 'Crash Reporter'.

  • I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 on a computer.
