    Hi all.
My Firefox is crashing and hanging FAR too often . He crash when I run Firefox, when I'm on Youtube, when I am on some Web sites, etc...

It happens because I have only 512 MB of RAM? (Or a slow CPU (Intel (R) Celeron (r) M Processor 1, 86GHz)?)

Or I use the latest Adobe Flash Player, which have a req system higher than my computer does?

It might be something on your system makes Ad Block edge issues.
Go to the support site for the add-on. You can find it on
the web page of modules. They may have a solution for you.

You will need add protection blocking because some of them
    You can override with a concert of adds. I use;

    Adblock more {web link}
Blocks annoying video ads on YouTube, Facebook ads, banners
and much more. Adblock Plus blocks all the annoying ads, and
supports Web sites by blocking is not discrete (configurable) default ads.

  • Firefox crashes (even in safe mode) constantly and use 50% CPU while doing

I use Firefox 36.0.1 and Windows XP (32-bit version).

Lately, Firefox made this weird thing where it stops randomly load anything, as if the connection has been broken (it isn't, any other works very well). In this case, Firefox uses 50% CPU, when it is usually revolves around, well, 0%. Restart the browser, or waiting for a few minutes "fixed" the problem temporarily. Same thing in safe mode, too.

I have the feeling that this * might * be related to Flash, since it seems to happen more often when I am watching videos, or stream on the shaking. I tried to disable the plugin-container and update the Adobe Flash Player plugin, with little success. Malwarebytes could not find anything either, and it does not feel like a virus anyway.

Whatever it is, I'm out of options at this point. I had a lot of problems with Firefox for a while now, especially when it comes to videos/animations (I can't play the videos of Vine.co , for example), and it starts to make it difficult for me. I really don't want to switch to Chrome, I don't trust of Google and their browser doesn't have a lot of key functions I like in Firefox (such as the sidebar bookmarks < 3), so I really hope I can get help here.

    Any suggestions?

Chrome is a pain, I tried to go back and difficulty of Firefox (so far), and again, I think I found the problem. I should mention that I tried these 5 suggestions before, btw, and none of them got rid of the problem. Yes, even in safe mode, with a profile is empty, no plugins, no firewall and without tab, it happens again, somehow. And Yes, Chrome will work fine with Firefox running in the background, as I mentioned in my previous post.

What he did for me was turn off Prefetching and IPv6 times in all: config, following the instructions on this this page .

I'm not sure that one did the trick (I kinda afraid to mess with that again, but I could test if you want to, it might be useful to others), but it looks like everything is going well for the moment.

  • Cannot start Firefox except in Mode safe

Everytime I go to start Firefox, it crashes with no error message. I tried to re - install, revenant and reset firefox and come back at least 28 FF I was able to start safe mode, but it means that I have a) do not have my Add-ons and b) I have to restart twice to get to anything.

I tried to create a new profile, but the profile editor crashed when I clicked on the "Create a profile" button, so I'm sure that's not anything in my profile data which crashes firefox.

I can't submit accident report links because it isn't everything, creating so please do not ask for those.

It turns out that I had to restart my computer, but it's a stupid reason for a browser to break.

  • Firefox crashes when I open it (except in safe mode). Reinstalled twice, did not help. Also, turn off hardware acceleration, etc.. Windows XP, Firefox 6.

Whenever I try to open Firefox, it hangs and does not open. Get the crash reporter. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice, but it did not help. Follow the instructions on your site for the modules disabling and disabling hardware accerlation. Firefox crashes in Mode without failure. I use the latest version of Firefox with Windows XP. Thank you

  • Firefox crashes very often

I have been using another browser (Opera) for a while now and recently switched back to firefox. However, firefox always crashes (I count more than 30 accidents over a period of 4 days). (As far as I know), it cannot be traced to any specific web page or activity, it happens even when no activity is carried out to be it (no click, scroll etc.).

Hmm, this solution has solved a question similar just now

Does still crash in Mode safe?

You can start Firefox in Mode safe below:

    • Windows/Mac: choose Help > restart with disabled modules
    • Linux: run firefox-safe-mode in the Terminal/Konsole

If it isn't, then set javascript.options.baselinejit to false in: config:

    • Go to Subject: config in your address bar
    • Press the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button to continue
    • You can search for javascript.options.baselinejit and set it to false by the pref to right click and selecting toggle.
    • Restart Firefox and see if it works properly.
  • Firefox crashes while the navigation have updated the extensions and modules

during the last two weeks my end 2012 Macbook Pro (13-inch) retina crashed three times during the navigation of Web sites in Firefox. I can turn the computer in Mode without failure and then trash firefox and reinstall using the Safari browser. Given that the computer does not crash in Mode safe I have checked my extensions and Add ons and found one recently that my version of Java has date of od. I've updated, but since my computer is still crashed while browsing the web using Firefox. I've checked all my extensions and they all appear to be up-to-date. I wonder if this problem is due to a graphics card to day as I him have not updated for Sierra and metering using Yosemite. I'd appreciate any comments on this issue. Thank you.

Title of test, disable your protection programs.

  • Firefox crashes immediately on startup. Won't start in safe mode.

If this is not for my personal system, but a colleague. Our company force installation of some software updates, and he had a forced installation arrives for a Firefox version 38 ESR. The installation completes successfully, and he was not able to run Firefox since then. We have tried to uninstall/reinstall to level 39 (including by deleting the directory under Program Files (x 86). We also tried to restart after each step, do not restart after each step, update of Firefox did not help either, and "Reset" is not available. We can open in safe mode and disable the Add-ons, but then it crashes again once we restarted in normal mode. This morning we tried to install level 38 instead of 39, but get the same results. Help?

You can check if Firefox can be started in Safe Mode by holding down the shift/Options button.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.

  • Firefox crashes on startup in normal mode and safe mode does not start reset mode

    using 26.0 FF
using windows 7 Home premium v 6.1 (last)

My problems started after the loading of 26.0 FF. If I start FF in normal mode it crashes. Same thing when I boot in safe mode. I close FF (while it's hanging) by clicking on the X in the upper right.

When I launch FF in safe mode and click Reset FF, it crashes without FF never appear. I have to stop it using the Task Manager. Off mode reset, I can launch FF in normal mode and everything works fine. However, stopping FF does not close it. I have to use the task of the Manager close. Then I'm at square one when you try to start FF, i.e. reset firefox, crashes, Task Manager, stop, then start FF.

When FF is on, I can open a new window of FF. All my addons are up-to-date. I reinstalled FF 26.0, three or four times.

I deleted the cache and cookies.

I scanned for viruses and rootkits etc. with microsoft security essentials and spybot.

I've been a happy user of FF for over ten years and have never had a problem like this. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you!

I think that I fixed it, it gives a trial because he has started to do this on my two PCs.

Go to Options > general tab > start switch / "Show a blank page" and the charges of all good. What I used was 'Show my home page' which is the default page of Firefox with the Logo of Fox and history, Favorites and other options at the bottom.

  • Firefox crashes, impossible to create the new profile, reinstall does not work, can't get into safe mode

Whenever I try to open Firefox, it only open the crash reporter. When I press "Restart Firefox", it just opened another journalist to crash. I use a PC.

I tried all of the following characteristics, does not:

    1. reboot the computer
    2. system restore
    3. Uninstall and reinstall (done this several times)
4 remove the Firefox installation folder
    5. try to create a new profile / use the Profile Manager using "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" - P, firefox.exe-p and firefox.exe - profilemanager - and all of this was, once again, open the crash reporter
6 safe mode - literally impossible even to open Firefox so I don't know how I could do that

I am at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, if %AppData% does not lead you in the right place you can also manually navigate to the folder with incident reports (you may need to turn on the display of the first hidden files). It is located in C:\Users\ < your user name > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted...

  • Firefox crashes all the time, this list is not in safe mode. What is the difference instead of the plugins and supplements?

My browser crashes every time and I must reduce and restore the browser to make it work. I disabled all add-ins and plugins in 'normal' mode, deleted my profile and created a new one, reset firefox and the problem persists, drunk when I run firefox in mode safe, everything works very well. Is there anything else instead of disabling add-ins and plugins this safe mode doesn't so I do it in standard mode?

Another thing is that my computer is under domain, and other local users on my computer don't have any problem with the browsers.

    Thanks for any help!

Hello armengolx7, disable hardware acceleration and check again firefox (in safe mode hardware, acceleration is disable).

    Thank you
