My firefox browser started to plant about two days ago in the blue. I don't remember having installed a plugin or something like that day. When I try to start firefox it's blocking 2 seconds later and with a lot of luck I can do it again in safe mode. But most of the time, even in this case the browser crashes, which is very suspicious. Internet Explorer, however, works perfectly. But since I have not used for years, I want to stick to Mozilla.

OK, so this I've not exactly "resolved" the issue, but I have a solution. I dropped Firefox and installed Firefox developer edition instead:

    https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/developer/

I don't have the same problem when using that. Fact.

  • Firefox crashes when you try to attach a file to gmail compose

Laptop Vista 32. When you try to attach a file to a gmail account, compose explore dialog and then firefox crashes. Happens every time and began (I think) with the 16 or 17 years old version. Updated plugins, crossed of troubleshooting on the Help menu, I tried safe mode. All to nothing does not. IE works fine.

After reviewing all services and startup programs using msconfig, I've isolated the problem to a conflict with Dell Media Center in starting. I deleted the software (preinstalled on your laptop) since I never use anyway, re-enabled the acceleration hardware Flash and deleted the line mode protected in the file flash cfg.

  • Firefox crashes when I try to download a file

    Hello!

I run Firefox Nightly 8.0a1 (2011-07-08) on Arch Linux 64-bit with Gnome 3, and I have a problem with crashes when I try to download files. This does not happen in the stable version of Firefox (5) I also installed on my computer.

It is possible to open the Download Manager as long as there is no entries in the download list. But if I start a download of something - Download Manager opens with an entry (the current download) and Firefox disappears. Instantly, she disappears from the screen and the list of processes.

I tried to delete the downloads.sqlite my profile folder, but it did not help.

I also tried to rename my folder of profile all about something else and then created an empty folder of the profile with the name, was the first. When I started Firefox, then it recreates all the default content in the profile folder, so I found myself with a clean install, not amended. But it always crashed when I tried to download files. So, it doesn't seem to be a problem with extensions or similar.

  • Firefox crashes when I try to access some sites protected by password

Since Firefox updated to 17.0.1, every day, I have this problem. Often when I go to a site like ebay or my Bank, after entering my password, Firefox crashes. When I close Firefox and try to start it again, it does not start. Internet Explorer then does not either. I need to restart. I never had this problem before 17.0.1. I have a desktop running Windows XP and all updated.

It seems that the problem is resolved by updating Trusteer report to the latest version: 1207.40. I don't know why the report software was not being updated automatically on my PC but when I've manually updated the problem disappeared.

  • 28 Firefox crashes when I try to print to the printer, Acrobat PDF

    Hi all!

I observed a problem when I try to print a Web page in Firefox v28 using the printer of PDF Acrobat (Acrobat Pro 9.5.5) installed on a Virtual Machine (VMware View 5.2) with Windows 7 64 bit. Print dialog box crashes (no response) after the pdf dialog box "Save as." Then I have to force Firefox to close, and subsequently an Acrobat PDF conversion dialog box appears with the progress bar has stopped in the middle. I must also close it afterwards.

The other programs (Office, IE, Notepad...) are able to print through the PDF printer without problem. The problem appeared after the automatic update of Firefox v28, since when I downgrade to Firefox v26 the problem disappears.

I checked a setup similar to a physical computer (W7 64 bit, Acrobat Pro 9.5.5, v28 of Firefox), and everything works fine, so I think it's a change that's happened in Firefox v28 who has a problem with the configuration of the VM. I also tried to change the Firefox profile, reset Firefox and reset the print settings and reinstall Acrobat. No luck.

I would like to know if anyone knows some changes in Firefox v28 printing or related to any service or update that may have a problem in the virtual machine.

    Any help is welcome!

    Thank you!

I just try with Firefox 29 in the same virtual machine, and it works perfectly, so I guess that is a bug in version 28.

  • Firefox crashes when I try to use then printer

I did not really see a response to my question, looking at the previous Q & A. So I'll try here. Just from today, every time I try to use my printer with firefox, I get a crash report? When I try to use the printer in another browser, no problem. I tried several times today, to use the printer in firefox, nothing helps. Yet once, each time, I get a crash report. Can anyone help? Yet once again, this was never a problem before with my printer and firefox. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

It's a problem with the Flash plugin.

You can check the problems caused by a recent update of Flash 11.3 and possibly upgrade to Flash 11.2 or 10.3.

  • Upgrades to 8 and restarted Firefox but when you try to start the message get FF this restart is required to complete installation; same message if I try to re - install or uninstall and seq. wrote this using Google Chrome.

Upgrade to 8 FF (of 3.6) seem to go smoothly, as did restart on Acer desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium. But I get "reboot needed to complete the installation of FF" whenever I try to start and seq. tried uninstalling FF using the uninstall from the control panel and uninstall in my Mozilla folder - get the same message "Restart required". Tried to reinstall FF - same message. In short, totally unusable FF - and I'm starting to like Google Chrome.

    Delete the files:

    C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates (Firefox %LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla)

(Above is a windows installation - an installation Mac stores its files in /Applications/Firefox.app)

To open one of these folders in OS x, Ctrl-click and select to display the contents of the package. )

Download a new copy of Firefox for the installation.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox before installing, but do not remove your profile data when you uninstall Firefox (do not select delete data of a personal nature) or you will lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder. Remove the Firefox program folder as well.

Do a clean reinstall as an administrator. See:
