  I had this problem and just reinstalled Firefox. Problem solved. In my case, I believe that it is through the installation of FlashGet. Although I uninstalled FlashGet, it had outstripped the Magnet links / Protocol. I hope this helps you with your instance.   Disable the antivirus software on your computer and check if it works very well.

  Make sure you have all updates for your version of Vista.
