  • Firefox don't forget restarting in v. 23, passwords

I recently allowed my computer XP SP3 upgrade to v23 v16 (latest version Beta that Firefox requires you to have). Now, all passwords are stored despite what I put to them.

In all previous versions, if I did not choose to save the password, then Firefox would not--I have not set an exception. When the computer reboots, I just log in again. Now, after having upgraded, I can't stop to remember my password after restart of Firefox. I deleted all cookies and cache. I even put the exception, but it records still just me in my gmail and facebook.

What is the problem with new versions of Firefox you can not just chose not to remember passwords and it won't?

Is there a way to change the session restore feature to clear cookies. This is related to other form data.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search box that appears above the list, type or paste sess and make a break while the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the following preferences and put them to the desired value for the private data (site of the cookies, form data, POST data and position of the scroll bar on the page):

    (A) browser.sessionstore.privacy_level - applies to resume your session automatically (for example, after the update) or if you set Firefox start up to "show my windows and tabs from last time '.

    • Backup/restore of HTTP and HTTPS sites = > 0 (default)
    • Backup/restore sites HTTP only = > 1
    • Backup/restore for all sites = > 2

    (B) browser.sessionstore.privacy_level_deferred - applies to the restoration of the special session of the user interface (that is, at any time you do restore not automatically your previous session)

    • Backup/restore sites HTTP and HTTPS = 0 >
    • Backup/restore sites HTTP only = > 1 (default)
    • Backup/restore for all sites = > 2

Source of this tip: firefox is to remember the passwords I said not not do it. browser reopens after computer restart and I can still login. it's really annoying.

  • Firefox don't forget homepage, theme addons and some settings every time I start my laptop. I tried a lot of difficulties, but none work?

This issue started happening just after the update to Firefox 42, I think. What happens is that whenever my laptop Windows 10 boots and I start Firefox (and sometimes after the signing and to my Windows profile), the browser acts as if she just updated, and it also checks the compatibility of the addon (see image 1). I get the "Firefox + Windows 10 = perfect set" page and my home page has been reset to "search.domaincentar.com" [see image 2], although it shows a Google logo. My theme and some various browser settings are gone too.

I have change all these settings back to how they were, but this happens every time that I reboot without fail. Here are the things I've tried:
    Refresh/reset Firefox.
    Create a new Firefox profile.
Erase a prefs.js and other possible guilty files in my current profile. (no present user.js)
    Completely reinstall Firefox.
Upgrade to the beta version of Firefox 43.
    Delete the folder %AppData% Mozilla.

.. .and different combinations of the foregoing. The simple fact is that even after a clean FULL of Firefox on my laptop, including the removal of all my info to a separate location profile, this continues to be. The homepage being reset to a weird search page looks like adware or malware, but I was not able to detect anything via scan or look in my addons. I'm really perplexed and at your mercy.

Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

  • Firefox is defined to delete cookies when stopping. What happens if the power is suddenly lost: cookies are still readable and operational?

I was logged on Facebook when my laptop suddenly lost its power. Someone at the service center will be able to enter in my account at the opening of my Firefox after repair? Windows 7 account is password protected, passphrase is unknown toservicemen.

Firefox should keep cookies in memory during the session and only write them to disk if Firefox is closed if the cookies are kept beyond the session or, if there is an exception allowing to keep a few cookies.

Don't forget that protect Windows with a password usually doesn't mean much because it is possible to start the computer using a CD or a USB key and directly access local disks.

  • I am no longer able to afford and don't forget fast. I have to manually, click the red icon in the upper left to access. How to restore the automatic prompt?

Yesterday, I visited a site to which I often, pingtest.net. Normally, when I visit this site, a thin horizontal bar appears at the top of the browser look at a framework. I don't remember what he said, but it spans the entire length of the frame, from left to right. On the right edge of the bar is a x, if I want to close. In addition, when this horizontal bar appears, I also have a box that is approximately six to seven times the height of the thin horizontal bar that appears on the left edge of the horizontal bar thin. This area extends across the width of about one-sixth or fifth of the width of the horizontal bar. It contains something like the following: show all, allow, authorize, and don't forget. I normally click on display all option, and I normally select Enable for all options now.

Here's what happened yesterday: I went to pingtest.net, the horizontal bar appeared and everything seemed normal. However, I have not taken any action. Instead, I changed my mind and decided to go to a different URL. My slider was in the middle of the screen. I moved the slider up until I was intending to be the URL field, in order to enter a new URL. Unfortunately, I did not move the slider enough. So, instead of clicking in the URL field, I clicked right in the middle of the horizontal bar. I HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT I CLICKED, BUT FROM THAT MOMENT TO WHAT THE HORIZONTAL BAR HAS NEVER REAPPEARED. WHAT I CLICKED, IT SEEMS THAT I LOADED FIREFOX TO NEVER PROVIDE ME THIS HORIZONTAL BAR AGAIN!

As a result, I am also is more to get the box gray with the allow all display, allow and don't forget options.

How can I find a normal behavior and get the normal horizontal bar and the normal box with the options to show all, allow, authorize, and don't forget?

I do not know if you clear the "Site preferences" for the last time (s) would have effect if you would not do that immediately.

upgraded to 3.6, bookmarks, lost, lost the toolbar bookmarks, bookmarks library, lost cannot go to the previous backup, error message. Not have Torbutton. Cannot save new bookmarks. AutoFill remembers. Don't forget the story is about.

I got this yesterday after the 3.6.4 problem upgrade. I'm not sure if I saw all the things you did, but I have def lost all bookmarks and the back button. I fixed it by:
    1. go to the Firefox profile directory, which for me is here but 1st bit will be different for you as mine work specific:

    C:\Documents and Settings\U049177\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\soez0lvk.default
    2 delete places.sqlite and places.sqlite - journal

    3. start Firefox (you should have the back button now works but not Favorites, he recreated to these 2 files)

    4. in the menu, bookmarks and then organize bookmarks, then button import and backup, then restore, then select a day to restore from. You should now have your backups Firefoxes bookmarks.

    Hope this works for you

  • Next version of Firefox to block 3rd party cookies by default (i.e. Eloqua cookies)

See this article for a FAQ: http://webpolicy.org/2013/02/22/the-new-firefox-cookie-policy/.

Eloqua cookies are currently blocked by default for iphones/ipads, Safari cookie policy is similar to the upcoming Firefox one.  1st party cookies on the roadmap or Eloqua will continue to use internal cookies 3rd in the foreseeable future?

Hi people, I want you to know that our people privacy and deliverability are in direct contact with those responsible for the protection of personal information to the Mozilla Foundation and other interested industry groups, to discuss the impact that this policy might have on the user experience in the major part of the web today.  There are a lot of discussions underway, and it's a very dynamic situation.  Due to the backlog and before on this subject in the last years we don't jump not conclusions at this time.

That said, we have sought actively to our standard options first party cookies anyway and have as one of our strategic priorities to work on in 2013.

  • Firefox does not remove expired cookies

I thought that all expired cookies should be removed automatically by the browser. but this isn't the way it happens in my Firefox (same behavior for different web sites).

close Firefox and even restarting the computer didn't help.
the only way to remove cookies expired since Firefox is: hand (which means I have to choose cookie in the privacy of the Firefox Options tab, and then press the 'Delete cookies' button).

Well, the good news: expired cookies are ignored by the servers (tested with a user through my virtual server script), but for some unknown reason continue to be stored off in Firefox.

Is it the way it should work?

Between the bug reports, it seems that Firefox does not remove expired cookies automatically. This only happens if you exceed the maximum storage limit of 3000 cookies. Deletion of expired cookies seems to be something that would have to do in time of inactivity, because he made a start or close does not adversely affect performance.

When going to Firefox.com...yet and clicking on the download button, immediately I went to the Dutch / Nederlands version of the site and I only have the choice to download Firefox Dutch/Nederlands.
I want the English version. Would it not be better to ALSO have an option to select the language whenever the software detects that you get your Internet from?

As people displayed, you can select the language you want to instead link systems & languages under the download button. Or on https://www.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/fx/ , it will be the Andere systemen en talen

The latest firefox will remove is as cookies. If I close connected to Facebook, even if it is configured to delete cookies at the end, when I load firefox even once, I'm always logged into facebook. You can set the browser.sessionstore.privacy_level pref 2 (never) or 1 (no HTTPS, default in the Firefox 3 versions) on the topic: config page to disable the registration of cookies via session restore.

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.

  • M300: Don't forget the extended desktop settings

I use my M300 with a monitor and an extended desktop (i.e. different images on both monitors). I also have the external monitor put in place for a higher resolution than the lcd (and on the left of the LCD not allowed).

However, I have to redo the settings everytime I connect. Is there a way to get the graphical utility to remember the configuration (and even to assign to the left button of the keyboard hardware)?

    Hello

As much as I know the laptop don't forget last configuration, and if you use the extend my Windows desktop on this monitor, it may happen that the application window will not be displayed on LCD laptop but on extended monitor you will not be able to see in this case.

I spend every time as you and it takes just 30 seconds and I can live with it. Just a question: how to connect external monitors (directly to the laptop or docking station)?
