Firefox has blocked the OBSOLETE Flash Player... even though I just installed later

Why ALWAYS think that the installed version is OUTDATED?

I had this msg, installed the latest on the Adobe site, reloaded the page - and Firefox always thinks I'm using an OUTDATED version.

Or is the obsolete code word for "20th century legacy application, which should be discouraged altogether because its STILL vulnerable?

Shockwave Flash

   File: Flash Player.plugin
   Path: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player.plugin
   Version: 23.0.0.185
   State: Enabled (STATE_VULNERABLE_UPDATE_AVAILABLE)
   Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Well that's another few hours of my life wasted Firefox now. The application becomes much too tweaky. If it WORKS its not outdated.

The version I had was actually downloaded by me on 8/11. 23_ppau_a

BUT when I downloaded again, the file name is a little different. 23_a

So now I can get it to claim to be installed.

But I have no idea what the number exact rev is - Adobe does not have the FULL rev number in their .dmg file name.

    Hello

Firefox and IE use different Flash Player plugins, but you can install it in your system.

Just go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer of the Internet Explorer browser and install Flash Player-> it will install the ActiveX of Flash Player plugin which is used by IE

And if you go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to the Firefox browser and install Flash Player-> it will install NPAPI plugin of Flash Player, which is used by Firefox.

    Hope it solves your query.

Safari and Firefox share the same Flash Player, so something is happening with Firefox.  Are you running any plugins of ad-blocking or anti-suivis?

You could try Firefox > help > restart with disabled modules.

If this does not work, you might just try to uninstall and reinstall Firefox.

Why firefox did block the latest version of adobe flash 22.0.0. 192 ?

Because it is affected by critical vulnerabilities and is not the current version. The current version has been 22.0.0. 209 since July 12. https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

United Nations-usefully, they also apparently blocked all access to the information on the extension of the used to be in their system. I can't access any index on which is the author or how to contact support for the extension. By reading the help of Apple:

Get help using iCloud and playlist - Apple Support bookmarks

It seems that the extension is automatically installed with Windows iCloud and is ready to be activated without any specific download. Which seems to indicate Apple is the responsible developer...  Is this true? Y at - it a direct route to report bugs in these products?

I had not noticed problems with Firefox crashes on startup, with Firefox under Windows 10 and iCloud 5.2 46.0.1. Wonder why these few people began to see in April...  Firefox in Mac users are also blocked?

  • I asked firefox to block an image on my blog, but firefox has blocked all images on the blog, there are no images in posts, pages, the theme, each image have been removed from the blog. Is it possible to restore the images.

Hi, I was working on my wordpress blog that uses the theme "Intrepidity". I wanted to remove a header image I added to the header but could not find a way to remove, so I click right for an option. the option I took was "do you want firefox to block the image? I clicked Yes, and this is the last time I saw a picture on the blog. Firefox has deleted all the images in the blog, even the side bars are gone, the header is not more, every single photo on the post, pages disappeared. The blog is just a shell now. Is there a way I could have restored the blog images. This is the name of the blog:
    http://www.weightlosscontrolreviews.com/

With the display site, click the site identity button (for more details about what it is to see the How do I know if my connection to a Web site is secure? article), and then click more information. This will open the page info dialog box.

First, select the permissions tab, make sure that 'Load the Images' is set to allow (default selection should work as well)

Then select the media tab, and then click the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll the list. If any element has the option 'Images of block of (field name)' selected, deselect the option.

This should hopefully solve your problem, but see also the problems that cause to not show images.

Some add-ons can also block images, for example, if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block images.

Why Firefox has disabled the only version of Flash (10.1.53.64) my computer can use? (Mac PowerPC G5) Help!

Your computer hardware has arrived at the stage where most of the software needs resources your machine cannot provide because it's too old. You have a few choices.

    1. Get new hardware that can handle the latest software
    2. Use a different operating system, like Linux (which is free)

I rehabilitated an old G5 recently and it runs very well in the latest Firefox. I put Lubuntu on the machine instead the MacOS. Lubuntu (pronounced Loo-boon-two) is sort of a Ubuntu lite - a user-friendly version of Linux. There are many applications of your choice, and everything is free.

You can also use the Ubuntu greediest in resources and a little more user-friendly, also free, but you can be more pleased with the performance of Lubuntu instead.

The PowerPC, I did this on was one of the old blue Bondi ones. Firefox 8 had no problem to start on it at all and has all necessary plug-ins for video, audio, etc... I gave him a church and it works well for them.

You can download older versions of Firefox, but you'll just open to security problems if you do.

FYI: The Mac operating system is based on Linux.

I have a mpeg file played ok before the download Flash Player to move to another place; but now the audio wont play even if the video plays very well.  The mpeg file may was converted from another format mpeg before do me.

    Hello

    1. are you able to play the other mpegs successfully?
    2. what version of Windows Media Player do you use?

I suspect that the file is corrupted.

    Method 1.
Check if you can play the same video in a different media player.

    Method 2.
You may need to check if the codecs work very well to play the file. Check if you have installed third party codecs. Uninstall them and re - install and then check.

    I hope this helps.

  • Problems to install the latest Flash Player

    K!

My Adobe Flash Player for Mozilla Firefox has been giving me troubles in recent months, so today I decided to install a newer version on my laptop.

Following the instructions, I uninstalled the old version before you initialize the download/install the latest version of Flash Player. That, however, proves to be a mistake, because installation failed permanently until now and now I have no player to my anything.

I tried installing several times, but the process didn't even start and just left me the message "Aktionsliste non found" (list of actions not found).

I use a Fujitsu Siemens laptop with 32-bit operating system and processor Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU. Visa of Windows with Service Pack 2 is installed. So I guess the problem is not due to a deficiency in the system requirements and I also made sure that the plug-in is enabled and that another version of the player is removed from my laptop.

Be anything other than a computer / COMPUTER expert, I would be very grateful if someone could help me. I am at my wit's end in this matter, have spent the last three hours looking for possible solutions to this problem... in vain, either.

    1 million thanks!

    Laura

    Hi Laura,

Most of these installation problems is caused by anti-virus applications. Nowadays, virtually all incorporate web shields to protect you from downloading malware, shields of files to prevent you from installing a rogue pograms and other. Is the file scanner which is the most problematic, because it comes in action as soon as you run an installer of any kind. It interferes with the installation process and leads to the corruption of additional files on the line.

In the present circumstances, I suggest that you proceed as follows. First of all, turn off all antivirus shields. If you happen to use AVAST Antivirus, right click on the orange icon in the systray and choose to disable all the shields for an hour. If you use a different application to AV, look for something similar in the menus of the user. Then proceed as follows.

    1. Download the uninstall program Flash here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
    2. Close all browsers.
    3. Reset. It is important to empty the Windows registry after uninstalling something.
    4. When the system reboots to the desktop, turn off these AV shields again.
    5. Download the installer from here: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax_32bit.exe this is the installation program for Internet Explorer. When you see the prompt, choose "run" to install it immediately.
    6. If you use another browser like Firefox, Opera, Safari etc., download this one as well: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_32bit.exe when you see the fast download for this one, choose 'Save' instead and save it somewhere you can find it later.
    7. After completing the installation process, go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ to check that everything went according to plan.

You might need this player as well: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ is somewhat like an improved version of Flash Player and you need to play games where you have to interact with the animation. You don't need to perform an uninstall for the program. It just download and click 'Run' in Internet Explorer when you want to install in this specific browser, or choose "Save" when you want to install it in any other browser.

  • I'm always on Adobe Flash 10.3. The latest version of Firefox will support the last Flash?

I have Windows Vista... For a while, whenever I got a new version of Firefox I tried to upgrade Adobe Flash and in any case it crashed so I stopped to do so. I asked this question to you more than once before and rec have never a response. Saved Flash 10.3, have reinstalled, which left and I go kind of happily on my way. Unfortunately, as you know that there are some videos, I can't access with 10.3. So, that being said... Will be the latest version of Adobe Flash work with the latest version of Firefox?

Wow, I can't believe that you have saved this old version of Flash for so long. If Flash player is crushed you probably had to disable hardware acceleration for Flash Player. Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    1. Go to the Adobe Flash Player help page.
    2. Right-click on the Flash Player logo on this page.
    3. Click settings on the shortcut menu. The Adobe Flash Player settings screen opens.
    4. Click the icon in the lower left of the Adobe Flash Player settings window to open the display panel.

    5. Remove the enable hardware accelerationcheck box.
    6. Click close to close the Adobe Flash Player settings window.
    7. Restart Firefox.

This Flash Player help - display settings page contains more information about the Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you are interested.

With regard to the latest version, Yes. The latest version of Flash works fine on the latest version of Firefox (29.0.1)
