  The 29.0.1 update is a patch and an update for your security.

  Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

  Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
  2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
  3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
     • Windows:
       • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
       • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
     • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
     • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
  4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
     1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.

  I would like to launch Firefox by clicking desktop shortcuts I saved (Bank, Netflix, Gmail, Amazon, Yahoo, eBay, etc...). With Firefox 29 a shortcut on the desktop now opens on my Google homepage. If I choose open on a blank page in the options, then all of my shortcuts open an empty page.

  28 all shortcuts in Firefox desktop works great. I like being able to start Firefox on a specific page. It seems now that I can open only to my home page or a blank page. It's terrible! I tried to create new shortcuts Firefox 29 office and I get the same result. Really terrible.

  Sorry, the data saved on the server is encrypted and cannot be read by anyone as it is a server or even outside of a Firefox browser. The encryption is done on the upload to the server for synchronization and encryption is done when the data comes back from the server synchronization that happens in an installation of Firefox. The 'key' stays inside Firefox, it is not sent to the sync server - no one has access to this 'key', but you, and it's inside Firefox stored in the Firefox account credentials in the password field.

  several problems with this new version.
  1. the URL of the site that I'm looking does not apprear in the navigation bar. It stills says "search type here" even after that I have and am looking at a new site.
  2. previous/next buttons are gray, so if I look at a web page and navigate it, I can't go back to where I was.
  3. the default search in a new tab engine is still Bing, no matter what I type in 'options '.
  4. the view of a new page is clumsy and too much space is taken up with a bunch of firefox, even if I take some toolbars. Addition or subtraction of the toolbars from the view does not have a difference in all of the space allocated to the view of the site.

• Firefox open multiple tabs when I click on an email address.

  This is the second time that I checked all this information, I hope it works this time.

  A while back, I changed to Firefox's mailto in Options > Applications > mailto
  After that, when I would click on an e-mail address, Firefox might open new tabs VERY quickly and would not stop until I used the Task Manager to close Firefox.
  I then went back and changed mailto to always ask.
  But the same thing always happens when I click on an e-mail address, Firefox opens tabs very quickly until I close with the Manager tasks.
  I checked the settings in subject: config "Network.protocol - handler.external.mailto" and it is Boolean, default true.
  I don't want a default email program to put, I always ask. Please help with this.
