Firefox is declining as being vulnerable even though I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. Why is this?

I have the latest version of Adobe Flash installed 18.0.0.203 - this is confirmed on the adobe site and the Firefox Add-ons page. Yet I continue to get the message saying that Flash Player is vulnerable...

All versions of the Flash plugin was disabled by Mozilla because of a security breach disclosed in the plugin that Adobe needs to address via a security update.

  • bug 1182751 - vulnerable versions of Blocklist (CVE-2015-5122) of the Flash Player plugin (18.0.0.203 and less)

  • Why I can't install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on Firefox 18.0.0.232?

I tried and tried to get the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on Firefox, but it won't take. Tried through update on the plugin page, tried through the Adobe Web site and still no luck. I listed 18.0.0.232 version on my desktop, but it does not appear on Firefox. Anyone has an idea why not?

You can download the 18.0.0.232 version here.

You do not have Flash installed for Firefox. If you did you would see "Shockwave Flash (version number)" under modules > Plugins. You can see the Plugins reported with your question; Click on 'more system info... '. "to the right of your original question.

There are 2 versions of Flash, a single IE (ActiveX version) and for most other browsers like Firefox (plug-in version). You must update each individually.

    To install or update Flash:

    1. using Firefox download and save Flash from this link (save to your desktop; easier for you to find): get.adobe.com/flashplayer
    2. When the download is complete, close Firefox (click Firefox > exit OR file > exit, if you use the Menu bar)
    3. Click or double-click the file that you just downloaded
    4. on the left side of the installation window, place a check in the box "I have read and agree."
    5. Click the Install button at the bottom right of the installation window. It comes on after you put the check mark in the previous step
    6. Let the complete installation; It's fast
    7. using Firefox to test your installation of Flash here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    8. for IE, repeat the process, but use IE to go to the site in step 1.

  • Apple made the new version of Adobe Flash, the former has been compromised; Firefox is not compatible with the latest version of Adobe Flash, can you help me?

The new version of Adobe Flash works in Safari. Apple thought that the old version of Adobe Flash had compromised safety, so Mac users can no longer use the old versions of Adobe Flash. A few settings in Firefox are not letting the update to the latest version of Adobe Flash work.

    New version: 11.6.602.167

Why firefox did block the latest version of adobe flash 22.0.0. 192 ?

Because it is affected by critical vulnerabilities and is not the current version. The current version has been 22.0.0. 209 since July 12. https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

https://addons.Mozilla.org/Firefox/blocked/ , July 25, 2016: Flash Player Plugin 21.0.0.242 to 22.0.0. 192 (Win & Mac) Flash Player Plugin 18.0.0.352 to 18.0.0.360 ESR (Win & Mac) Flash Player Plugin on Linux 11.2.202.621 to 11.2.202.626

  • "iPhone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes" even though I have the latest version of iTunes?

Yesterday, I bought an iPhone 6s and decided to restore it via iTunes. This then is the message "iPhone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes" came. So I installed the latest version, but the message still came, even if I had the latest version. What should I do?

What operating system you are using on this computer?  If he is old enough like Windows XP or Vista, it is unable to get the latest versions of iTunes that are needed to work with the latest iPhone software.

  • Why can I still not load the pdf files even after I installed the latest version or reader?

I received an email, and I'm trying to simply open pdf files to view.  I went through the steps in the installation program Adobe Reader, I typed in my password of the computer and was taken to a page that says "Step 3 of 3", and he wanted me to buy another Adobe app.  So I Quit Safari, leave my email.  Tried to restart my email and then even tried to save the pdf file and then tried to open it to see and I got this message:

To view all of the content of this document, you need a later version of the PDF Viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

    For support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html

I went to the two sites listed and have still found no answer.  I was wondering why I can't view these pdf files?  If someone a tips or advice to help solve the problems, I would be very happy!

    Thank you for your time!

Assuming that you get this message in Safari, Chrome, or FireFox, then Adobe Reader installation is not complete. You could try saving the file and open it on your computer or reinstall the drive. What he was trying to sell you? Be sure to download Adobe, not someone else.

  • 14 Firefox guard severely suspended since I've upgraded to the latest version of Adobe Flash (11.4).

On 22 September, I received a notification to update to the latest version of Flash (11.4). After you install Firefox (version 14) began to cling hard some of my favorite sites, such as Facebook and DeviantArt. After trying to deal with things, he abandoned and would not answer. After the boot without failure, I disabled the add-on flash, and everything has of worked, except for games requiring flash to play. As soon as I walk back, hanging and no answer came back.

I wasn't able to get to one of these sites without serious questions hanging. I just uninstalled Flash, rebooted, and then reinstalled. Everything seems to work fine now.

  • On the OWN website of mozilla, I get the message "Your Firefox is out of date and may contain a security risk!' but I just download and install the latest version?

I have the latest version of firefox to date (15/10/2014 v32) and I still get messages while on various sites Internet (Youtube, Google, Gmail), telling me that your Firefox is out of date and may contain a security risk.

I have not even this message on the support pages of mozilla.org?

I tried the subject: config reset the useragent (s) fix, but it does not work.
I tried browsing in safe mode and still get the error.

    Why this false/positive happening?

    Thank you

Hello your useragent (information, the browser sends to websites to identify its version) - apparently by mistake - shows this:

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20140923 Firefox/4.0.0; xs-A30GTmfXR3o;CkHZPf;

probably some kind of unwanted software has crashed it. Please refer to this article in order to reset the user agent settings in firefox:
Sites Internet says that Firefox is obsolete or incompatible, even if it's the latest version

in case this is not enough, please try to reset the whole browser:

  • I keep trying to install the latest version of firefox and it does not work

I am running firefox 3.something, I think, and I keep trying to install the latest version on my mac. I have through save, open, drag the icon to my apps file... and when I drag my apps file, it takes a few seconds to do * something *, pings to me and then nothing after that. I try to open it and it tells me that I have to close firefox first, so I didn't (restart even) and when it opens again it still opens to the old version.

Looks like you are trying to install the latest version by downloading it from the Mozilla site. What happens if you try and install by choosing Firefox > Firefox in the Menu bar? Yet you say that Firefox is not updated?

Also, have you tried to uninstall Firefox using CleanMyMac or AppCleaner, for example and then install again? Please do not do this until you are satisfied you have saved all the information that you want to keep, first (passwords, etc.).

  • Try to install the latest version of Flash for Firefox on Windows XP, get the Internet Explorer Script error

I am trying to install the latest version of Flash (file install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe), browser = Firefox 14 (current), OS = Windows XP.  I tried several times, making sure to disable Norton Antivirus Autoprotect first.

At some point throughout the process - while downloading or during Assembly - I get the following error message:

    Internet Explorer Script error

    Line: 1

    Char: 10010

    Error: 'ActionLaunchAdobe' is not defined

    Code: 0

    URL: http://127.0.0.1:1174/app/_js/adobe.js

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? [Yes] [None]

If I answer [Yes] or [no] the result is the same - the program crashes. It does not close, and when I close it manually it asks if I want to stop it. But if I leave it there, nothing happens.

By the advice of the site, I uninstalled Flash in order to restart costs. This means that, instead of having an outdated Flash version, I now none.

I tried to RTFM, but research for this error go empty.  I'm curious to know why Internet Explorer being participates in it at first. But mostly, I'm just curious as to how to get this thing to work.

Thanks for you help with anything that can give me.

    Dave
