Firefox is showing a grey globe for secure site when other browsers show a lock icon.
We have several sites with SSL certificates. When the site goes into HTTPS, Firefox still displays our pages with a grey globe. Sites (like Amazon) show they are secure with HTTPS pages. Other browsers display our secure pages as they should.
a globe gray must only be displayed for a "secure" page where there is a mixed content on this page

cancel the passwords for secure sites
I pay my bills online and I saved passwords when prompted now I think it was a bad idea. How to cancel these passwords for banking sites and credit card?
You can remove connections that are saved by using the Options dialog box:
"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > Security > "saved passwords".
If you have a master password, you might be asked enter it again to do this.
Success?

The old status bar showed a lock icon when a site secure - where is this lock icon in verse 4?
The status bar was along the bottom of the window. At the right end of the bar, a lock icon appears when you are on a secure site, as bank earnings or invoice. With the now missing status bar, where can I see this lock icon?
The lock is no longer a part of Firefox; It can give users a sense that a site is secure by not providing all the information related to a site. Familiarize yourself with the Site identity button in Firefox:

You use a bookmark?
This also occurs if you try to open this URL via the address bar or in a window in incognito mode?
You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.
Using "Forget this Site" will delete all data stored in Firefox in this area as bookmarks, cookies, words of past, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain you don't want to lose then check that back up these data or make a comment.
You can't recover from this "forget" unless you have a backup of the files involved.
It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

Info request here: http://pastebin.com/6W8CmjS3
Reset has been performed without any effect. Other browsers work fine. The firewall is configured correctly and no potentially conflicting software has been installed recently. The computer is generally clean from malware, without malicious modules have been found.Firefox refuses to load everything except on: * tabs. I type in an address, press ENTER, firefox starts loading for a split moment, removes the address quickly and does nothing. No error message, no inaccessible Web site, no 404, just to clear the address bar and remains on the start page (which is always the default firefox one). I tried to access LAN and remote Web sites, I tried feeding the raw IP - same effect, firefox start indicate loading for approximately 750ms, then deletes the address and don't forget that never asked.
How can I fix it?
Hello, please try to delete all entries from firefox to your firewall rules and let it detect the new version of browser again.
Difficulty of problems connecting to websites after Firefox update

All of a sudden, when I try to load Google Calendar, it hangs on "Loading"... ». I used it for several months without problem. It works fine in other browsers. I can access other Google services such as gmail. I tried to delete cookies, but it does not work. I upgraded from 16 to 17 without change.
When I tried to load LinkedIn on Firefox, I got a basic version BACK. That's when it dawned on me that my problems with Google calendar began after I clicked "use the basic version" when he took a long time to load (probably because of the ISP) and I was able to load a basic version of the calendar.
So I reset Firefox and that solve problems.

Just upgraded my DSL to 7 Mbps. I did not notice the problem, if it actually occurred on the slow line. When I launch Firefox 3.6.14 (not Iceweasel) compiled for amd64, it takes about 30 seconds to connect to any website or when I change to a different Web site. Meanwhile, the message in the status bar says "Looking up" {website}. No other browsers available that, nor does my windows machines using IE or Firefox. Help > troubleshooting the dough was too big. I will sent if necessary. Thank you.

I am trying to log on to the EZ Pass New York site, but I get this error of no reliable connection for the last days. More precisely, it is say no issuer channel was provided with the error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer. Previously, it worked fine. This only happens with the standard user accounts in Windows Vista for Firefox. It doesn't happen when I use the account administrator or IE on each account. What is happening and how to fix it? Appreciate any help you can offer.
He himself seems to have resolved now. Beats me why.
