Firefox losing all my tabs if I close when a youtube video is blocked. What is accettable?
I saved several groups almost 50 pellets.
Yesterday, I was looking for some videos on Youtube. When some videos seen regularly, I select a video that seems to expect too much to appear.
I close firefox.
After the reopening, he opened with a default page and I lost all my tabs in each group.
This is the second time in a month, a disappointing situation.
If the browser opens with the Firefox home page; topic: Home, you
can press the Restore last Session at the bottom right.
You can also do Toolbar > history > restore the program.

I want to know how to make my tabs save when I close Firefox. I did what was suggested in the FAQ section, but all my tabs disappear whenever I close Firefox, you use the command "exit", or the "X" button That was the reason I never updated to the new version previously, but hoped that the problem had been addressed and updated, now I'm stuck with having to reopen each tab whenever I open Firefox. Please tell me there is a way to fix this. And I'm not fluent technospeak, so I need simple and basic instructions. Thank you. Mark

I don't speak of the option "save and exit". I mean when the mozilla crashes it gives me is no longer the possibility to restore my session, instead appears a page that says new tab, this isn't even the homepage google/mozilla. Is there a way to solve this problem. I have not changed my settings.
The settings were wrong by default with the new version, because I've never made any changes to my personal settings (new version just change session restore I think). But this is how I solved the problem (I have no accidents, but after an auto reboots for updates I had the possibility to restore the tabs again). I will be "BOLD" by the party who has solved the problem:
"For another session of restoration of problems, you may need to make corrections to your Firefox settings:
At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options Select the Privacy panel and make sure Firefox will: is set to either Remember history or Use custom settings for history. If Firefox will: is set to Use custom settings for history then make sure that Permanent Private Browsing mode is not selected. If Firefox will: is set to Use custom settings for history and Clear history when Firefox closes is selected, then click the Settings button and make sure that Browsing History is not selected. Click OK to close the Options window"
I think the problem was that I've always had the selected history navigation that does not work as it used to with the new version.

tabs do not close when I click on more than 10 links
After updating to Firefox 11 a strange problem occurs when I click on more links then 10 and try to close: links do not close and I have to close the window. It's never happened before. I have some paid click Programs click on many links, so it's not very nice... Anyone who recognizes this and is there already a fix for it?
Thank you!

Where there are icons it is empty now places that are described in the points.
Was it an update of Firefox 7 to 8 Firefox? I noticed that for the sites without a favicon, the "blank document" icon replaced by a "dotted rectangle" icon If you have lost the other icons, they should be recorded when you visit the site again. But this does not really explain where they went...

If I restart my browser everthing works very well for at least 5 minutes. When I watch several videos to youtube, the LAG comes back and the video begins to freeze aboud every second for just a fraction of a second. The sound is stil played properly it only affects the graphics...
After about 10 minutes watching videos, the whole browser gets lag. Sometimes when I type fonts appear only about a second later. Scrolling is also affected. A few minutes later everything is back to normal, but it' not always t like that?I don't know what to do, I already rebooted with disabled modules, but I did not notice any difference. My ati graphics card drivers are up to date and I have the problem with firefox, chrome works perfectly.
Best regards, Jan
The offset is now gone. Removal and reinstallation of the plugins and the deactivation of my modules to speed dial (which is sad cause I like them) fixed. I think that's their function to auto-update the previews leading the video shift.
Thank you very much for your quick response and your help. I appreciate it. -
Safari closes when I use the browser. What should I do?
I can't search on Safari. I use yahoo because its in my top sites history... If I type anything, Safari's FARM... Help?
Safari is a web browser. Yahoo is a web site. They are not the same thing. You use Safari to search for stuff on Yahoo. Quit Safari, and then open it in Mode safe holding the SHIFT key while clicking on the Safari icon in your dock. Go to Yahoo and search for something, anything. What is going on? You have extensions/plug-ins installed?

All my tabs are missing! Rename and copy/paste the files did not help
I accidentally opened two windows of Firefox and closed one with all my tabs pinned first, then the second tab. After Firefox reload all my tabs are missing and I tried to rename files, copy and paste files, etc. as suggests these forums, but nothing has worked. I have myself screwed on?
Check first the Menu history for any tab restore options.
In the second place.
If you have already restarted Firefox and have a copy of the files: close Firefox- Open the profile folder profiles - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data
- Save the previous.js recovery.bak and recovery.js under another name
- Place the recovery files in the profile folder.
So that this does not happen again change your tab Preferences and settings or try Session Manager add and save your profile.

When I shut down for the day, Firefox close all my tabs and not resume at startup. I get a message asking if I want to close all tabs. How do I keep my firefox tabs? I have Windows 7 if it's of any help. And I'm in Firefox v 26.0.
In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:
- do not erase browsing history
- Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "Use the custom settings for history": [X] 'Clear history of Firefox closing' > settings
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/clear+recent+history
Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.
Use "Firefox > output" (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing by clicking on the X close in the title bar of Firefox.

Sometimes, I open multiple windows, especially from my box from Comcast. When I'm through with this window, I will conclude, but leave others more open. FIrefox won't do this anymore when I close the 1 window, Firefox send me a message stating that it is to CLOSE all THE TABS. I DON'T want TO CLOSE all of them, I want to just close the window I close!. This is very annoying, because I have to re - login to all, because FIrefox is 'CLOSE all THE TABS', and everything I want to do to close a window... I'm about to chuck this browser... I tried to find an answer to this in the tools, but was unable to do so. Please help me with this
Make sure that you do not click the X close in the title bar like that closes the active window with all the tabs.
If you have the tab bar visible then click the X close this tab or mid, tab, or use the shortcut Ctrl + W key to close the tab.
If the resulting tab bar hidden then see:

How can I close all the tabs at once without having to restart Firefox
At a time, how can another closing a tab I close all my tabs without having to restart Firefox
On a Mac, you can close the window and open a new window to achieve this. Which does not close the Firefox application. You can also a right tab and choose "Close other tabs" from the context menu.
Set browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab pref false on the topic: page config to prevent closing the last tab to close the browser and display a close button if only one tab is open.
To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.- Use the filter at the top bar of the on: page config to more easily spot a preference.
- Preferences that have changed see the bold (user set).
- Preferences you can restore the default value or change via the context menu.
