Firefox opens not after Lollipop 5.0.1 on HTC a M8
I have the same problem as several others have posted.
Have a HTC a M8
It was working fine with Firefox until the 5.0.1 Android update Lollipop was installed today.
Firefox does not work - it just opens and crashes to the count of 5. To send the report. Restart, done the same thing.
Tried - uninstalling and reinstalling (last version via GooglePlay). Empty the cache. Boot into recovery and clearing the cache partition.
None of these elements of fixed the problem.
Fix Firefox for my phone soon! I'm a Web site developer and need my Firefox. Not to mention I don't like these other options. Although the Chrome and the Dolphin seem to work very well. Please don't use these other guys.
Thank you!

Firefox opens not all sites I've ever been to before
Firefox opens not all new sites that I've never been before, or he lets me get questions that are new on search at the top right of the screen. All sites that have been previously visited are very well - for new I just get the little circle that goes round (sorry, I'm not really computer) until finally, it tells me that it has expired. I can get to these new sites very well through Explorer. I can remember bad but not for a long time there was an update for something (which may have been java or google) and later a box popped up and I think I checked something that I thought that I had to check, but now think I wasn't - but have had this problem since.

I have used Firefox since version 3 - really like compared to others.
This morning, after the startup of Firefox does not open. It worked when the PC was off last night. The eggtimer lights up briefly, then nothing. Internet Explorer works fine, just like Mailwasher (by e-mail) and MS Outlook, is not a problem of the internet.
I am running XP Service Pack 3 (no, really, yet), with Secure Anywhere of Webroot internet security.
I tried to restart - no effect
I tried to remove, reboot, and reinstall - no effect
I tried to run it from a link in an e-mail message - no effect
I tried to run from the line start - run with the ~ option p as in your FAQ - no effect
I tried to reinstall Adobe Flash Player, Shockwave, Java, etc...The closest, I have something to go is trying to launch a console of Webroot, when I got "Browser launch 1073741819 error" - but this could be an error code of Webroot.
I don't know what else - make almost all your FAQ will be that you can enter the program.
The only thing I can think is that webroot removed a threat this morning, but I can't find saved the crawl log for what it was - clutch at straws, maybe that had something to do with it?
Maybe it's related, but I'll have to write this on another PC, because the Mozilla Web pages displayed incorrectly in Internet Explorer (all other sites I can find appear in normal type) so the plug-ins installed do not reflect what I have on the PC in question

I just tried booting up the PC in "safe mode with connections", and under these conditions, Firefox opens and behaves normally. Does this add any light to the puzzle?
Yes. This means that another program has been in effect to prevent Firefox from running. If do not help the above suggestions, you can solve the problem, as described in the following article. Firefox does not at all. Would like to remove it and reinstall, however when trying to uninstall a message pops up that I need to first close firefox! In short: impossible to remove firefox, impossible to reinstall, cannot use it. Operating system Windows 7, 64 bit, Sony laptop computer VAIO PCG 81213 M. Firefox worked just fine before. IE works fine.
This can help if you have had the same problem as me on the occasions.
Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar. In the menu that appears, select "start Task Manager". Along the upper part of the "Task manager" window, select the 'process '. You will see a list of running processes. Scroll down the list until you see Firefox. Select it and press the 'end process' at the bottom right. Click 'end process' on the warning popup that appears. Firefox should disappear from the list. Now you should be able to start or to uninstall. If Firefox does not appear in the list at all so this fix is not for you. I hope this helps.

Browser Firefox opens not today though I used it for years
I tried to open Firefox this morning, but it does not open. I use Win 8.1. I tried to open it with shortcuts and programs files. I tried to reboot the system. Nothing seems to work. Chrome and IE times open & connect to the internet.
I could find no conflict with the firewall or security software.
I didn't know what to do, so I downloaded a new copy of Firefox and installed without banishing what already existed. After that, Firefox open right & I still had all my favorites and saved passwords. In any case, it now works fine.
Thanks for the tips.

Firefox opens not at all on the macbook pro and then blocks mac entirely.
My firefox does not open when I clicked on the icon, there is a little blue light under it. I installed and re-installed and still does not. When I click the icon in the dock my macbook just hangs and I have to restart it manually. I'm afraid that my knowledge of this kind of thing is extremely limited, I read through many problems of messages but I do not understand the instructions others have given. It happened to my firefox and I renamed the file .exe (?) and that does the job, but I don't remember how I did it / can't find the post that helped me. I'm sorry to be so fundamental, but I can't remember and want my browser to work again!
You will not want Firefox to an .exe file, which is for windows. Make sure that the extension is. app. You can do this by going to Finder > Applications > Firefox > right click and click on the button "Get Info." Then halfway was the name of the file with the extension. Change it to Firefox.app if it is not already like this.
In addition, you can consult this article to support if it does not help.
Have a great day!

When I click the icon of Firefox the browser opens and then I immediately get a notification "we're sorry, Firefox crashed. How can this be addressed? I downloaded Dolphin browser and could not return to Mozilla unfortunately if this continues...

Running Firefox 36.0.1 an update has been downloaded on 3.19.2015.
Norton said that this is a problem of cloud 9. Subsequently tried to open Firefox,
but instead of opening, I received an error "can't find execution". "."
Deleted Firefox of installed programs, news and everything works great.
2 days later received an update downloaded and exactly the same thing happened.
After removed again, installed new with 36.0.3 and everything works fine again.
I use Win XP Pro SP3It's a problem with Norton and not the Firefox browser with Norton of Suspicious.Cloud claim
She did this false positive Suspicious.Cloud with SeaMonkey for years every so often releases SM and Norton did not bother to fix it. Norton antivirus would claim a virus found in file freebl3.dll only there is not and never has been.
You have to be such a regular occurrence that they still singling out Norton in the known issues for SeaMonkey version notes for a few years as can be seen in http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.33/#issues and appears until Norton finally fix it.
Messages on the claim of Suspicious.cloud with Firefox here (and mozillaZine) were infrequent compared to SeaMonkey.

Hi jkbfox, there is currently an increase in these reports and the soruce seem to be sites that have embedded content for the flash plugin. Firefox developers are looking at this issue and investigate a fix.
Would you be willing to see if the problem is resolved with this trial version and report with your results soon? : https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/candidates/41.0.1-candidates/build2/win32/ (click on your language, and then download them and install the "Firefox Setup 41.0.1.exe") -
Firefox opens not except in safe mode
When I clicked to open Firefox a few days ago, a small window opens with this message:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script ends.
Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js:623
I found the solution page about this to Firefox and followed the instructions - closed FF, open in Mode safe, is go to Add - ons and changed my theme to the default. Then I closed FF and it has reopened.
The solution worked. (yay)
Later, however, I had the same problem when I tried to open Firefox again.
I went through the steps of opening Safe Mode but my theme was already by default, so I changed to another and then changed back to the value default, FF closed and then reopened.
When I had the same problem, once again, I went through the above step and then uninstalled all the themes, but the default value. (Or so I thought).
The next time I tried to open FF, the same ole error message came. I did the fix mode safe, FF has closed and then reopened.
However, another message came:
FLAGFOX VERSION: null (missing IPDB!)
ERROR MESSAGE: Error starting Flagfox Fatal!
LIFTING EXCEPTION: TypeError: ExtensionManager.getItemForID (id) is null
STACK TRACE: start (@file:///C:/Users/Donna/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/ilt58l3p.default/extensions/%7B1018e4d6-728f-4b20-ad56-37578a4de76b%7D/chrome/flagfox/modules/flagfox.jsm:40)

Ugh.
There was a link to click on but before I could click on it, another window open with this old error:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script ends.
Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js:623
So, I could not click on the link for Flagfox error because I had to close the 2 windows to go to FF Safe-Mode to get rid of the error Add-ons/themes.After closing then opening again FF, it opens but crashes. At one point, I had dinner and then came back, and he was still suspended. So, I opened the end of task task manager in FF to close.
A few weeks ago, I had installed Chrome. Since I saw 'ChromeWindow' in the error of Flagfox, I thought maybe Chrome was to ruin FF so I uninstalled Chrome, turned off and turned back on my computer.
Then I tried to open FF, only to have these two errors pop up again.
BTW, after the opening of the FF mode safe (for the moment zillionth), I went to "themes" and they were all there - I thought I had uninstalled all except the default value, but they were all there.
The furthest (more?) I've come is to be able to click on the link of FlagFox open FF, but then this happens:
Flagfox.servehttp.com takes too long to respond
and FF is suspended... and hangs...
I'm so frustrated!
So I can open only FF mode without failure.
I came here on the forum and connected, etc. to post this message, but none of the boxes issue-details were visible, so I am currently using Opera.
I'd appreciate any help. Please keep in mind that I'm not 12 years old so I don't know much about computers, lol. In other words, please answer with simple and easy words then I'll understand.
Thank you!
By chance you have Personas Plus installed, if you do so in safe mode you can access the Add-ons Manager and either disable or uninstall, that should solve your problems.
The error messages indicate that the add-on FlagFox is the cause of the problems, but Personas Plus version 1.6 is currently havoc with Add-ons. Some applications opens not after to
I have a few apps that have been updated and now cannot be opened.
- App store says they are updated.
- The application icon is greyed out and says waiting when you click on it.
- These applications cannot be uninstalled.
I tried to restart the phone hard reset application uninstalling. I was not able to go to work for some days now.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Try to delete settings. Go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > storage > storage management. Let the list of applications to load, tap the gray apps, then remove them in the next screen.
After you do this, restart the phone. Sometimes icons want to hang out and restart the phone could empty their for good.

Firefox open tabs after I have closed and reopened
Whenever I open Firefox, the program opens several tabs that I had searched and reviewed a few months ago. I tried to disconnect correctly in Firefox. I also uninstalled the Firefox program and all its components and reinstalled the program. I met the same results. All tabs open everytime I open Firefox. I was happy with Firefox and don't want to give up on the program. Please help me.
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Multiple_profile_files_created
Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and groups of tabs open and closed tabs (back) to get lost and you will have to re-create them (take note or bookmarks if possible).
You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

21 of Firefox opens not mp3s in Windows Media Player
I put the option program of file type for the two 'windows media player' and 'request' and Firefox always opens the mp3 in a generic player in a new tab MP3s played in the popup from Windows Media Player (after download) fine in the latest version of Firefox 20.X. I tried to disable the Microsoft WMP plugin (the only way to prevent them from opening in a new tab using Quicktime was to disable the plugin (QuickTime).
MIME MP3 settings in Quicktime format have been unchecked and the settings of Windows extension all are defined on Windows Media Player as the default player for MP3s.
Hello sewing1243, 21 firefox now uses the codecs that are included in your operating system that allow him to directly read mp3 and mpeg (also for html5 videos). in order to disable that, enter about: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named media.windows - media - foundation.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to false.
Another way to download files without tweaking the above-mentioned preference would be to click right on the link that leads to an mp3 file or right click on the drive in firefox and choose to download the file like that...
