Firefox OS simulator spontaneously

I have 19 beta Firefox running on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I had installed Firefox OS simulator. I was connected to the machine with the remote desktop, but not actively used it. Instead, I was working in another window of independent software.

The OS simulator seems to start on its own. I do not click in the remote desktop window or use the quick access buttons to start. I uninstalled the add-on immediately. Could there be a security risk?

  • I don't see firefox OS simulator in the menu Tools-webdeveloper

    I have firefox 20.0.1.
    I installed the firefox OS simulator.
    I restarted the computer.
    In the menu Tools-webdevelper I don't see firefox OS simulator.

    It may be that this has to do with the privacy settings or work in private browsing mode. He disappeared in the menu when I changed my settings, I noticed. However, you can always get to it. Put this in your address bar (you can bookmark). This may change in the future, but for now, it works for me.

    Even if I downloaded firefox OS on firefox nightly Simulator, it apear dosen't here: Tools - web developer - suppose to be there, but it doesn't , but it works on the normal firefox.

    The new location for the Simulator and a few other Firefox OS developer tools is located under Tools > Web Developer > App Manager.

    There is a simulator for Firefox OS (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/firefox-os-simulator/)

  • I didn't want tabs at all, just windows. I have vs 39.0

    I want my firefox works as before. I don't want the tabs. The way it works now, is of all Web pages seem to go into an icon at the bottom. If I try to minimize a window, it does not return to the previous window, it goes to my desktop. VERY FRUSTRATING. I want to see all the Windows I have open, distributed along my bar tasks. If there is no solution for this, I'll Safari as I saw suggested elsewhere. Or another solution would be to go to an older version of Firefox that always worked normally.
    Thank you

    As test, could you open two new windows, a regular (Ctrl + n) one private (Ctrl + Shift + p) and describe how the taskbar display changes? Do you get the additional graphics next to the Firefox button simulating a "stack" of buttons? That's what I think that you normally get.

    If the problem is that you want different buttons rather than a stack, the Windows taskbar has a setting for it. Right-click the taskbar, click Properties, and then change buttons setting to never combine. (Screen attached)

    Firefox can also show each tab in the taskbar, but if you try to avoid using tabs, which is probably not relevant. For future reference, it's the setting here:

    "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > general

    Downstairs, 'Show previews tab in the Windows task bar.

    Hola ParisTellezOlvera,

    Desafortunadamente, no hay una version compatible con su telefono. El operating system requires a compatible device, o a device created corpos para el Firefox OS.

    Still, puedes testar OS el in su computadora, using el Firefox en el navegador Firefox OS Simulator:

    Hi Jon Gregory,

    Go to Tools > Web Developer > WebIDE and then select the "runtime environment" to download or run a specific version of the Firefox OS simulator.

    I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have other questions about your Firefox OS device.

    Thank you

  • My application is not fully recessed, being denied permission

    Hello. So I'm doing a Firefox OS webapp. I use the < iframe > function to display a web page. The problem is that only about a 3rd of the screen shows the web space. Here is a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/POJU3lL.png

    Here are 2 mistakes in my firefox OS Simulator:

      Denied permission 'browser' for app type 'web'.

       Denied permission 'embed-apps' for app type 'web'.

    Here is my manifest.webapp:

    { "name": "Forum",

    "description": "testing, testing!",

    "permissions": {
        "browser": {},
        "embed-apps": {}
      },
    "launch_path": "/index.html",
    "developer": { "name": "Mobile Mod",
    "url": "http://mobilemod.net" },
    "icons": {
    "16": "/img/icon16.png",
    "32": "/img/icon32.png",
    "48": "/img/icon48.png",
    "64": "/img/icon64.png",
    "128": "/img/icon128.png" },
    "default_locale": "en" }

    How to extend the size of the < iframe >?

    Nothing to regret on!

    If you want to just display your page. That will make it much easier... All you need is a manifesto in the root directory of your site.

    I can't more tonight (very late here). Please email me ([email protected]) the rest of your questions, and I will work with you to get all this work =)
