  Running Win7 x 64. Upgrade to Firefox 7, then YouTube videos stopped playing. Firefox refuses to play YouTube videos. Internet Explorer 9 (x 64) plays great YouTube videos. Don't use Firefox more. You've got to SUPPORT your application instead of users leaving Wade. It is also why I HATE the upgrade. It causes too often new incompatibilities when I just want to leave what works, the hell alone.

  The Adobe forum, someone suggested

     * go to http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550 and
           o download the 64-bit uninstaller
           o download the 64-bit installer
     * close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller
     * restart Windows
     * delete any remaining files in
           o C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash
           o C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash
     * now run the downloaded installer
  

  It still does not work. Then someone else said to install the ActiveX Installer, I found somewhere online.

  THEN finally it worked. But I still don't understand why I have to jump through additional hoops, which are not explained in the first place-YT says I need to upgrade (even if my old machine W2k with FF 3 and Flash 10 works fine), I click on the link on YT taking me to Adobe, I download and install like lead instructions , but it does not work. Why didn't ActiveX installs as well as the installer of Flash if necessary?

• Whenever I play youtube videos, they shake from left to right and to go at different speeds.

  I have windows 7. A couple of days, I went to play youtube videos and they all shake from left to right and go at different speeds (very erratic). This ONLY happens with videos from youtube (HTML5). When I play other videos(non-HTML5), they play very well. Also, the sound on youtube videos are fine, only they do not match the mouth (s) of people talking. The mouth move faster. I've checked all my plug-ins and everything is up-to-date. My firefox browser is also the last version. I did a malwarebytes scan and it came up with nothing. All the settings on the youtube videos are also where they should be. It happened for about 5 days. Can someone help me?

  Thanks Guigs. I followed your instructions and found out it was a 'acceleration hardware problem' that was the origin of the problem. I unchecked the box and YouTube videos play very well! Thank you for taking the time to help me.

  I can't play youtube videos or access games on facebook and some websites, I get only 1/2 the page. It seems that something is blocking my flash. It says that my flash is updated and also of shockwave. I have included 2 screenshots. I started in safe mode and nothing works. Works perfectly in google chrome. The problem is that firefox.   Let me share my personal experience on the subject.   Since about a week ago firefox in my laptop can not read the youtube videos (only from youtube, videos from other sites and flash games work well), both on the site or embedded on another site. This shows only "an error has occurred. "Please try again later".

  I tried to use different computer, I used my old pc winxp with the old version of firefox (with the same configuration as the firefox I use in my laptop) and my ipad, they can play videos, but playback is stuttering which never happened before.
  Curiously, I've tried chrome (on the same laptop) and it works well, no stutters.
  This problem has something to do with the firefox updates, updates, flash, both, or something else?

  Please help me, I don't want to go back and forth between browsers just to see the video on youtube and I really want to change browser.

  It's very strange... it will also be a very long shot, but it is possible that due to the long url (& feature = relmfu) it worked. I highly doubt this is the case.

  I recommend not to clear your cookies, either of them or one of them to youtube.

  And you've probably already tried this, but playing the video on the various quality parameters may do something.

  And finally, have you tried to contact youtube/google on this subject, or restart your pc after making sure that all your stuff is up-to-date? (you have probably both)
