Firefox plugin check list never does.

Today FF won't let me use Flash - says I need to update the plugin. I click to update the plugin and I am redirected to a page where a rotation slider turns away but never generates the list of plugin.

So... He will not get Flash but it also won't let me update flash.

How can I get FF to show me the list or I would update the plugin Flash, another way?

Thank you-
Mark

FF 33.0

Hello Mark, adobe has released a critical fix for a vulnerability in its version of the flash plugin, which is apparently already exploited in the wild. That's why firefox will block the precarious versions which run by default on Web sites for your protection. https://helpx.Adobe.com/security/products/Flash-Player/apsb14-27.html https://addons.Mozilla.org/Firefox/blocked/p794

Please update Adobe Flash Player version 16.0.0.235 as soon as possible, that you can download from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (use the windows exe for plugin-based browsers).

  • Plug-ins are up-to-date, but Firefox plugin checker shows them as obsolete.

The auditor plug-in shows Flash to be obsolete, but checker plugin from Adobe shows that I'm updating. To also Firefox about: plugins page shows that my Flash is the correct version. I deleted the file pluginreg.dat and it has not solved the problem. Any other suggestions or is it your auditor plug-ins again?

The installed version of Flash 11.3.300.257 is the last available for Mac, so it's OK.

Only one published an update of Flash 113.300.262 for the Windows platform.

Thus, it seems that the plugin check page does not have your platform into account.

  • Mozillar Firefox Plugin Check & updates does not not in version 26 or 28

My operating system is Windows XP SP3. I had updated for Firefox version 28, but because of Bug 985968 I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the 26 version manually. Now https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ works not by going to the same through Add-ons under Tools Manager. It just keeps searching & searching and wasting a lot of time. From Google is also very, very slow. Very, very frustrating. Firefox is set as my default browser.

Hello gspal, for me, it's better to upgrade to the latest version of firefox (28.0) and forget the Bug 985968, is that the Java plugin with the error when you check with plugincheck, we all have the same question until the bug is fixed. But I believe that firefox 26.0 is vulnerable, now and in the new firefox bugs most of the 26 and 27 versions are fixed.

  • Plugins check to update does not work

  • Plugin Check guard tracking Shockwave for Director despite the latest version

When I tap the Plugin Check page Firefox 4.0.1

    <"rel ="nofollow"> http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ >"

He noted the next plugin is obsolete:

    Shockwave for Director
Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.5.9

However, I have the latest version of Shockwave installed (11.5.9.620) installed. Reinstall the plugin does not change how the Mozilla Firefox Plugin Check page views this plugin.

Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in is also known as "Shockwave Player" not to be confused with 'Shockwave Flash', which is also known as Adobe Flash. Bad naming conventions by Adobe translates into some confusion.

Sorry for the problem with the version number. Version 11.5.9.620 is indeed the last version, but your plugin doesn't show the '. '. 620"that confuses the Plugins page check. There was a problem with how Adobe indicates the incomplete version number in the past and I thought everything was corrected, but it seems that she did not correct how it shows in OSX. On my system Windows, add-ons > list of Extensions and the Plugin Check page shows the full version number (11.5.9.620).

You can still use this page to check and view the number of full version on the Adobe site (this page will also test and view the Flash version number): http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/

You can find the numbers of most recent version for any Adobe product by reading the most recent security bulletin for each product on this site: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/

  • After the "new version" download Java 6 times, my plugin check page indicates that he has disabled my 'version outdated' and asks me to upgrade. What do I do?

    Background:
I had this problem for several months now. This problem started when an update came to Java on the Firefox Plugin check. Quickly, I installed the new update of Java. But the Firefox update register that I downloaded, even though I refreshed the page. So, I got rid of the old Java and downloaded again the new Java. When the page has continued to post the same message he had before, I downloaded a few times more. Finally, Firefox stopped to say that I was at day. Then a few weeks later perhaps I check Firefox Plugin, and on the page it says that I'm overwhelmed in Java. So I downloaded Java again. But Java was still in the list, with the red and said that he had to be updated. I restarted the computer. Then I restarted Firefox Mozilla with no Add-ons. When Java appeared still to be updated, I gave up and did not something more on this topic.
    Problem:
Today, I decided to check my plugins. Java was not updating the list, and at the top a banner said, "Missing JAVA? For your security, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please install the latest version. "I clicked on"upgrade to the latest version"and was brought to the Java page. I clicked on the download button. My cache indicates that it was this same Java plug-in (see background) download (6). I chose the re - download anyway. But Firefox always insists on the fact that I him have not downloaded.
    Question:
Should I go to the control panel of Java and change something? I have to fix a few settings on Firefox? Should I disable Java entirely, delete all the files related to Java on my computer and start over with Java? What should I do?

Try to use http://ninite.com/java/ninite.exe to install Java. Please note that even if download you it you have to double click it to run and install.

  • How to disable the Plugin Check to open every time browser opens

Whenever I open firefox, "plugin check" opens. Even after I installed and updated all the plugins, the plugin check appears whenever firefox opens. After update all plugins that I restarted my pc, reset the browser and checked for if ensure that my homepage has not changed change plugin firefox, deactivated all my plugins and even tried to block the website by GUESTS.

I am quite able to check to see if my browser and plugins are up to date and I don't appreciate the unnecessary loss of time with this plugin-control running in every time the browser opens. Similar to the updates, this should be an OPTION check not FORCED and that there should be a way to disable it without the browser opens a blank tab extra or forcing the user to change the subject: config to work around.

  • The plugin check page does not work, it will never stop check.

My plugin shows Flash as outdated and blocked, despite having installed the latest flashplugin package. I went to plugincheck page to be updated, the bit that never stops check/loading (loading circular animation).

Everything up to date, including Firefox, Flash and Java.

As of today, the plugin check page started working on its own!

Maybe it was a bug in the audit tool, maybe something on my system which is fixed by the updates. I'll probably never know.

  • The Adobe Flash for Firefox plugin does not work

By the title. The issue arose after a Flash updated. It seems to work fine in Firefox and Chrome, but when I try, let's say, watch a YouTube video in Firefox, it won't work. It is not limited to YouTube, either: the same thing happens with Hulu, as well as the site of nostalgia the criticism, which the videos are hosted by Blip.tv.

I am sure that the problem is not JavaScript or another type of script, because JS seems to work very well - the drop-down list on the YouTube search bar works Wikia support homepage and how it is supposed to correctly, and these are the functions which I run out of JS. The same goes for Sliverlight scripts and all my other script except Flash plugins.

I tried to clear my cache and start a new Firefox profile. I even reinstalled Firefox, but I kept all my profiles when I did it, so I tend to believe that if indeed it is a problem with Firefox and not with the Flash plugin, then it is a problem with one of the profiles.

Yes, there is a kind of interaction between the new Flash 11.3 and Firefox. Check out this new article to support and see if it helps: 11.3 Flash does not load video in Firefox. A little luck?

  • Projection Shockwave Flash as v16.0.0.287's plugin check but he updated the current 16.0.0.305 and restart Firefox (v36.0) do not change the situation.

Shows a check as v16.0.0.287 Shockwave Flash plugin, but it updated the current 16.0.0.305 and restart Firefox (v36.0) do not change the version number or status when rechecking the plugins. Control of Adobe and the Flash Control Panel website confirms 16.0.0.305 is installed. All the solutions to this?

I noticed in the information in the topic: plugins page under Shockwave Flash, path: line was showing.

    < path: C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_16_0_0_287.dll,C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_16_0_0_305.dll >

For outdated version 287 .dll file was still there and listed before the current version of 305. I deleted the 287 .dll version and restart Firefox and check the plug-ins again the problem seems to have been resolved.

  • I downloaded the latest plugin for Microsoft Office 2010. The Plugin Check page still lists it. Why?

The Plugin Check page lists Microsoft Office 2010 with a search button. I clicked and I was redirected to a page where I would like to download the Microsoft 2010 plugin. I thought I did it (with a bunch of unnecessary waste). I went to the Plugin Check page and Microsoft Office 2010 was still there. Why?

Mozilla only stores the details of the latest version of a small number of plugins, these being the most widely used plugins such as Flash and Adobe Acrobat. For these plugins analysis will show if you have the latest version.

For other plugins, including the Microsoft Office plugin, Mozilla does not have details of the latest version and instead it displays a search button, that when clicked will perform a Google search. It displays the search button even if you have the latest version of the plugin.

  • Plugin Checker Firefox reads Adobe Flash Player obsolete, even if the latest version (19.0.0.207) is installed.

I recently installed Adobe Flash Player version 19.0.0.207 to replace the previous version (19.0.0.185). However, when I ran the plugin checker, he says that Flash is outdated, still saying version 19.0.0.185. Then, I went into the menu Add on, you click on the plugins tab, scrolled down to Shockwave Flash and you click on more. He showed two files .dll, NPSWF32_19_0_0_185.dll and NPSWF32_19_0_0_207.dll.
Since the auditor think again that the 19.0.0.185 version is still installed, the plugin check tool reads the outdated Flash Player. There, someone can help me with this situation?

Good news! I closed the browser for a few minutes. Then, I ran again the update checker. This time, he read Flash as up-to-date. The old file, NPSWF32_19_0_0_185.dll, was removed from the list of plugin.
