Firefox recommended I have disable Java (TM) Platform SE 6 U24 6.0.240.7. What happens if I disable it?

I have Windows 7. If I disable this add-on of Java, what should I replace it with? Thank you

You need to update Java to the latest version.

• Why my Firefox doesn't have a Java plug-in?

My question is similar to Java plug-in for JRE7u21? ', but all the suggestions he has worked are for Windows, and I'm on a Mac, and I don't want to hijack this thread. For the record, this thread is/issues/958847. aw

I have Mac OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion, Firefox 24.0, who says that it is up-to-date and Java 7 day 45, also updated. I want only answers for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux.

Java test online works OK in Safari, but not in Firefox. Firefox think that Java is not installed. There is no 'Java Applet plug-in' in the list of plug-ins.

Since Safari is OK, I suppose that there is a bug in Firefox. Can simply by determining which combinations of versions (of Mac OS X, Firefox and Java) have the Java plug-in and which don't?

• Developer Edition does not have the Java Plugin

My configuration:
OS - Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Browser - Firefox Developer Edition
Java - SE Runtime Environment build 1.8.0_51 - b16

Installation path:
Browser - C:\Program Files\Firefox Developer Edition
Java - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_51

Description of the problem:
My operating system, browser, and Java version are all of the nature of 64-bit and properly installed, however, Firefox does not have a Java plugin in the Add-ons Manager and I can't run Java on all Web sites. When I check Java on their website, it tells me that Java is disabled or not installed, but Java is enabled in the Java Control Panel.

Hi mrflom, that's to be expected - the 64-bit versions are delivered with support plugin limited for the moment (single flash is in the whitelist). If you rely on the other npapi plugins please continue to regularly use 32-bit builds.

• Problem with Firefox 14.0.1 and Java

Since I've upgraded to firefox 14.0.1, I can't access a site that requires the latest version of Java (#36, I think). I installed it on my computer, but the site does not load. However, I have firefox 13.0.1 on another computer, and it has no problems of access to this site.

I tried to access this site even on IE on the same machine that I have 14.0.1 firefox and IE wonder first if I want to run Java and when I answer Yes, it loads the site very much. But I hate IE and want to be able to run the program on firefox. Firefox 14.0.1 never ask questions about Java. It will not load the site.

I'm using firefox on a PC with XP.

I think it has to do with the Add-ons and Java, but have no idea what Add-ons that I should have or that I shouldn't have. Currently I have no Java modules but when I search add-ons available Java, I gives me 3 options: Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0, Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0 or Java Platform SE 7.

The computer with firefox 13.0.1 (also XP) not a not modules Java running, but it shows Java Console disabled like 6.0 and Java Quick Starter 1.0, as it is disabled.

Anyone have any ideas?

The question is: will I be able to work without Java on my computer?

Before internet won over Flash, Java was an important host of interactive content. But lately, you will find that it is rarely used.

Of course, most sites use JavaScript, but Firefox handles JavaScript natively; It is not necessary to install Java to run JavaScript (long story on why the names are similar, even if the technologies are separate).

• Close programs to prevent the loss of information. Your computer is low on memory. You save files and close programs. Java (TM) Platform SE binary Windows Media Player

Hello

I keep getting the following error message, and leterally having my computer off over and over again, even if I added 1 GB of RAM (now 3 total RAM) mor and also added a 8 GB SD card as more power:

Close programs to prevent the loss of information. Your computer is low on memory. You save files and close programs. Java (TM) Platform SE binary Windows Media Player

I did research on the various search engines to know that many face the same problem, with a variety of possible solutions, but so far, none work. We suggest that I go to Regedit and change the permissions of the user and then delete the old files, after I import them.

Needless to say, I am just a user and have just a bit of technical knowledge. The local PC repair shop in my town has no idea what to do. For anyone who has a solution to this problem, help will be greatly appreciated!

Randy Kline

First of all, unless you know EXACTLY what you do and WHY you do it. I personally recommend never do anything in regedit. I consider myself a moderate to advanced computer user and a moderate user of windows. And I always stay away from regedit, if I can, because you can seriously screw things if you don't know what you're doing... Although, to be honest most of the settings will not have a devastating drama.

It seems to me that this is a memory leak in the program, you will get this error message to make sure that your computer will just crash, because if she is running out of RAM... Well it will crash.

If you have a 2 and a 1 GB for a total of 3 GB, I recommend the upgrade once more and just round up to a nice 4 (this is the most of memory a 32-bit system can handle in total)

Works of memory in a way that you see really only a few performance jump with memory dual channel, the only way to have that is really striking the rods of same in each slot.

There isn't really a reason that this happens every time, except that simply your computer is low on MEMORY, when your computer says this means RAM, not disk memory storage area.

If you clean your computer of the programs you never use and stop using windows media player (itunes is better in my opinion, even if you don't have an ipod), you can see an improvement, but to really isolate the problem, I recommend simply opening your task manager as soon as you start your computer (ctrl + alt + delete usually gives you the option or it opens directly) otherwise you can do start-> RUN taskmgr.exe , OR type taskmgr.exe in the search box and press on enter.

Then, look at the column of memory as I said it sounds like a program has a leak, and you will see that is because memory will begin at low/normal and then numbers just keep climbing...

Also, make sure that your computer recognizes all 3 GB or RAM. in Task Manager if you have access to the performance tab, under physical memory must be a thing called Total, 3 GB = 3074. If this is not an option in your reason, you can go under Accessories/System Tools system information (on the start menu). (may take a while to load) but on the home page, you should see something that indicates the amount of TOTAL PHYSICAL MEMORY. You want to read this / 3GB or 3074 MB.

Hope this helps some!

I recommend to remove all programs, you are ready to, especially those that you never use. Do a complete uninstall. Then start installing windows clean (download google) just to make sure that the program has been removed. then go start--> run msconfig OR just type msconfig in the search and click on go (I don't know if you're running XP or Vista/7)

In the msconfig dialog, you should see a section that says startup. Don't forget to remove programs that you do not first. Disable startup programs, you use every DAY. Don't go turn off all if windows needs some process to run, and some processes don't effect anything. But if you're curious, you should be able to google all of startup items and see what it's related to and why you do or that you don't need.

Good luck! Sorry, I'm everywhere with this response.

• 28.0 Firefox indicates that my installed Java SE 7 U51 is vulnerable (2014 03 20)

When I use: 'tools-> Add-ons-> Plugins' and select "Check to see if the plugins are up to date", Firefox 28.0 (said currently the last updated version) means that the detected Java version (currently Java (TM) Platform SE 7 U51) 'Vulnérable' is and suggests an update.

The Java Web site indicates that Java (TM) Platform SE 7 U51 is the latest version. Download and re-installing Java and do a reboot system does not change the behavior of Firefox, it continues to mark the
Java version as requiring an update.

Is there a vulnerability recently discovered in Java (TM) Platform SE 7 U51 or Firefox is just having a good time watching me try to argue a problem?

Java 8 comes out; could it be the problem?

http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/Java/JavaSE/Overview/index.html

The design of the site check plugin (the last time I checked) don't accommodate several "current" versions So if the site has been updated to recognize Java 8 as current, it could lead to a lot of confusion.

Assuming that the Plugins addons page section has not disabled Platform SE 7 U51 (based on the block file that Firefox downloads regularly), then I think it's probably still good.

(I actually U45 on this computer, oops, so I can't test the response to U51 right now.)

Java (TM) Platform SE 7 U45 10.45.2.18 isn't in my list of Add-ons. I can't find to download. I reinstalled Firefox, all to nothing does not. I have it on my laptop and the Java works when I turn it on.
Suggestions to reinstall Java (TM) Platform SE 7 U45 10.45.2.18 to Add on my list? Can I make a copy of it on my laptop and install it on my desktop? Where is this file - I can't find it?

• Try a link on a page and the link will not work unless I have disable addons and go in safe mode

When I connect to a site, there is a tab that I can click on which should take me my FB login. There is no nothing, when I click it, unless I have disable my addons and go to safe mode. I tried to disable addons one by one, but nothing has worked. I can't understand what is causing the problem. I also refreshed my FF from scratch once again and the problem still persists. It's the address I want to... www.Slotomania.com and I try clicking on the blue facebook button in the center of the page. This event started about 5 days ago and I am at my wits end trying to figure out. Can you help me please. Thank you =)
PS... I didn't add the addons in a time long dang and everything works perfectly.

Browser.privatebrowsing.AutoStart: true

-This may well be caused by the new Tracking protection feature in private windows in Firefox 42.

When anti-suivi is enabled, a new shield icon should appear on the left end of the address bar. You can use this icon to make a temporary exception to the site. Or you can disable the feature of anti-tracking as a test.

• I have updated Java but Mozilla plugin Page indicates this is not

I have updated to the latest version of Java, when the plugin Mozilla page indicated he was overwhelmed yesterday. Usually, I don't have a problem when I download and update. In this case, it went well and I rechecked the Java Web site and it says that I have the currently installed version, which is Version 7 update 51. Even where you are going to uninstall/install programs correctly there like my page add-on that shows I did yesterday as well. My Avast antivirus shows that it is the new version too. After I rebooted the Mozilla plugin page is still saying it is not updated.
Do not worry, I know it's done properly, but she then wondered how to tell when another version is up if it has not been supported. I think that Mozilla needs to check their plugin page.
Just wondering if this has happened to someone else who has updated and the plugin page showed no change. Thank you!
Debbie

Hello
I have updated Java on 16/04/14, but when I tried to access a site it says that I need a plug-in. I'm gone "modules" & found that my Java plug-ins have been exceeded, & I also read the page of 'vulnerability' confusing on Mozilla. He did nothing to help, as he said some show plugins Java upward as vulnerable, but they are not really... because I'm not technically savvy, I have NO idea what that means!

Will someone please tell me how to upgrade my plugins for Firefox 28.0 Java so I'll be able to view the Web site, I tried to see for 2 days?
I went to the site of Java & when I run the 'check' tool version it says that I have already installed the latest version. If that's the case, why not not my Firefox Java Plug-ins updated, too?

The recent update of Java is the 7.0.550.13 version and was released on 16-04-14.

Thanks for your help.

• Flash no longer works and blocking firefox. I have fast dial and don't want to lose it so what can I do to solve this problem?

Any site or what I do it will come to the top randomly and freeze firefox then finally a box appears and says Flash is busy or not responding not to continue or stop the plugin. Naturally, I stop plugin. I always install the latest versions of flash I even uninstall and reinstalled flash and downgraded and still no change or it bothers me to update. I use firefox 26.0 I usually stay away from the beta if possible. My biggest concern with using the firefox reset or make a new profile is my quick dial that I have tons of sites there was waiting for me to click on and im afraid if I do that I will lose it. But I have used the same profile for years then maybe its time. I'll have to redo everything my dial fast, I guess that if someone can find another way to do it. I have disabled hardware acceleration on firefox I have it makes my browser to do weird things. I also disabled hardware acceleration in flash as well. I have the registry and files temporary cleant. I'm good with computers, but have never seen such issues with flash. If someone could help that would be great. Thank you.

Its ok on the Profile Manager. I used to use Mozbackup back in the day lol. So, I just started back up this folder that works well also. I used the script to delete the prefetch files and so far everything is good and Ive done everything I usually do. Usually more crashing on facebook games well. It always crashed in the video also, but it's very good now. Weird that do one thing as it fixes a big problem like that. But I appreciated all the answers and all the advice. You all have a Merry Christmas!

• Firefox does not have LEEP < Google > as the first and main page. Home page is always the first all tried!

I need your advice.
Several months ago the Explorer makes it not possible for me to watch videos from Flixxy.com and even less to download. Anything else, worked ok.
He kept asking me to download 11 Flush. I have done this at least 30 times, always with success and restarted my PC. Has not changed a thing!
Then I downloaded Firefox and with her, I could watch and download Flixxy.com.
Five days ago, something happened (I forgot what!) and I uninstall Firefox and reinstalled a new copy. Since then, I have an odd result:
When I start it, Firefox starts its < Firefox Start Page >. I want Google and I installed it on the usual way and correctly. It turns on, but next time I restart Firefox, their < Firefox Start Page > is one who is. Only Google don't stay on!
Everything else works great! And if I care what page they start would be OK: but I want to Google!
What can you advise me? Why is it so? My anti virus (Norton, Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware show no virus.
I reinstalled Firefox three times with the same results. I tried to do everything is written in Firefox Help.
See you soon!

Hmm...
I see... Lets get to the bottom of your system configuration and try to eradicate the problem.

1. Disable the MindSpark Plugin installed on your firefox Addons > Plugins
2. Go to control panel > uninstall programs and look for something that says 'Toolbar' or something that sounds like this, uninstall them.
3. Now reset firefox of topic: support
4. Restart the system

Let me know if its fixed or not.

See you soon!
