Firefox restarts continuously

BP-d2cd4087-4994-4596-B401-c5fec2140122
After the crash of firefox startup. Work only safe mode. Reset firefox - don't help, does not.
System: Win 7 x 64 ultimate, 4 GB ram, 500 GB HDD (installation again, old hdd 320 GB split 75, 100 100 gb and one for linux)
After installing new hard drive and install windows 7 and firefox - I'm in trouble with firefox, if one of the partitions
large size. If I have only 'C' drive with a size of less than 100 GB - it's ok. If I do the second partition (drive "D") and large (now I have 200 GB and 120 GB logical drives) - restart firefox/crash.
Same problems I have with Google Chrome.
PS Sorry for my English bad.

It sounds like a problem with the hardware acceleration and graphics in Firefox.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox (you will need to close and restart Firefox).

    Concerning

Windows restarts itself could indicate a device driver incompatibility, usually associated with your graphics card.

Instead to start Firefox normally, hold the SHIFT key to get the Security Mode/Reset dialog box and start safe mode. Then switch your acceleration hardware definition here:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

Safe mode automatically disables hardware acceleration, but this modification should enter into force when you quit Firefox and then start it again normally.

    Any improvement?

  • Not all facilities of the extension. They get stuck at < nom_extension > ' will be installed after Firefox restarts." Restarting Firefox does not change this

I've always been able to install extensions with no problems until a few days ago. Since then, the extension installation process gets stuck to where they appear in the list of extensions (topic: addons) with the message < name > "will be installed after you restart Firefox." Restart of Firefox has no effect on this point - after that restart, the extension still says "will be installed after Firefox restarts." I tried several restarts Firefox and I tried to install other extensions, and the same thing happens with all I'm trying to install the extension.

I know I'm running an outdated version of Firefox, but please ignore this. I have a good reason for it.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions or is not compatible in ' Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button at the left end of the search bar to check if there is an update available compatibility.

If this did not help, then also delete the files addons.json and addons.sqlite possible.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete a possible user.js file and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.

    Hello

Samsung software is installed on your computer?

    You receive an error?

I suggest you perform the methods below.

Method 1: I suggest you to put the computer in a clean boot state.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below for more details:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps in the section above to reset the computer to start as usual.

Method 2: If you have any installed Samsung program I suggest you to reinstall the drivers for the easy software Manager

  • I have a HP a530n that restarts continually.

I have a HP a530n that restarts continually.  I installed a reader of CAC, 2 days ago, and reboot to initialize the installation, he began a cycle restart nonstop.  I tried to go into safe mode, but it does the same thing.  I did a full install of windows xp sp2 on an existing installation "repair" and it always does.  Any ideas?  Anyone?  Bueller?

My HP acted in the same way sometimes when restarting. What the Microsoft or HP solution method 2 to restore the system by using the Windows XP CD? See below.

The solution that worked for me was a manual, I removed the hard drive to my HP a530n, attached to an adapter IDE - USB, changed the PIN back to act as a slave drive and connected to my laptop the drive installed as an external drive, then I opened the file ExternalDriveLetter: \Windows\System32\Drivers renamed file intelppm.sys XXXintelppm.syx removed the hard drive and then installed in the HP and it worked. (Before you reinstall the drive, change the rear pin hard drive master or Cable Select).

Also, while the hard drive was still installed as an external for my laptop drive, I copied all my data files, bookmarks, Favorites, files of Outlook PST, user profiles... I then ran the hard disk Error-checking tool (right-click on the drive and select Properties, then select the Tools tab) to analyze all of the bad sectors of the disk, you must check both boxes to automatically fix errors system file and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, it will tell you if your HP hard drive begins to fail and must be replaced. Hear the sounds that weird car or see a lot of bad sectors during the analysis of error checking is a good sign to replace it until it goes dead. Also scan this external hard drive with a thorough virus & malware/adware scan. If you have a dead drive, I found a technician in Florida, which use a clean and restores the data from hard drive for a good price: hddsavers.com

You might have corrupted Windows XP system files which prevents normal windows load upward or your hard drive fails mechanically. My original hard drive failed, and luckily I had a backup image (Acronis) of this to restore all my data and programs on a new disc. A failing drive can let you not do a Windows system restore if system files are located in a bad disk sector. But there are 2 types of system restore, it is done through Windows XP during the boot process (press F8) and the other is original of your hard drive has been installed with 2 partitions on the disk, one of them is a D-drive called HP_RECOVERY, it is possible with a new disk and software such as Paragon hard disk manager to copy to this partition and restart from zero (default) to install windows XP and programs and then copy on your data files, if you manage to install the old drive as an external drive to another computer. To use the HP recovery, you have access to this starts, it's the first blue light screen HP see you and down, it gives you the option button to select this restoration, if you don't see it, then go to the BIOS Setup (pressing F1 at startup) and there could be a selection to display the splash screen.

If by chance, method 2 below works and Windows loads up again once as normal, you must always use the disk error checking to find bad sectors and you must parse the filesystem of Windows for corruption (start/run: sfc.exe/scannow). Also do a virus scan and spyware-malware throrough of the player (free programs: Avast, Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware & Spybot - I use all 4 looking for different things, free programs require usually manually update you and run).

    Method 2

To work around this problem, run the recovery console by using the Windows XP CD. Then, select the recovery option. To run the Recovery Console from the diskette of starting Windows XP or the Windows XP CD, follow these steps:

    1. Insert the Windows XP startup disk into the floppy drive. Or, insert the Windows XP CD into the CD drive. Then, restart the computer.

Note If you are prompted, click to select all the options required to start the computer from the CD drive.

    2. When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
    3. If you have a dual-boot or multiboot computer, select the installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.
    4. When you are prompted, type the administrator password.

Note If the administrator password is blank, press ENTER.

    5. At the Recovery Console prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
      Disable intelppm

  • Pavilion g6-2293sa - 8.1 Windows restarts continuously office

My friends Pavilion g6-2293sa continuously restarts the office. It's an Intel i5 - 3210M with 6 GB of ram. Problem seems to have started with the upgrade of Windows 8 for Windows 8.1 in April.

So far, I did the following:

1 run HP Diagnostics from the F2 - all hardware components transmitted

    2. started in Mode safe mode with networking and it's stable

3 did a system restore to the oldest available that was April 21 - problem persists

    4. install SafeMSI to enable me to update Mode applications without failure

5 update Google Chrome which didn't work (Firefox & IE were fine)

6 removed Classic view & Norton360 in case this was the cause of the problem

7 during the restart Windows has applied various updates to day (unknown) but not 8.1.1 yet.

The laptop starts ok (seems slow to me for an i5) displays HP logo and Windows starts but then when the desktop loads with the taskbar and icons that constantly recharged.

Would appreciate help to diagnose and resolve the issue before doing a restore to factory settings and lost all installed applications and user data.

    Hi My_name_is,

    Welcome to the HP forum!

I understand that your laptop continuously restarts the office, after update to 8.1 Windows.

You tried to do a restore, but the question remained.

You've tried at various stages in Mode without failure, but it remaied pending.

Here are a couple of suggestions to try.

At the command prompt, right-click and run as administrator

Now type sfc/scannow and press ENTER.

It will look for corrupted files and try to fix them.

You can also try to refresh your PC to solve problems (Windows 8).

If you perform a recovery to factory, you will receive an option to backup your personal data to prevent loss.

Performing a recovery of HP (Windows 8) system

Restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8)

Here is a document to help you with the update of Windows 8 to 8.1

  • When Firefox restarts the pages that they do not charge just display story, I then have to refresh to get new data as Explorer always charging and Firefox used to

This should be an easy solution, because all the other browsers and Firefox used to do this. Firefox is restarted the pages do not charge they just historical display. I have to hit the button reload current page to get new data. This has been driving me crazy for a few weeks. I thought I had fixed a couple of times but only a few pages loaded and now it's the whole story again.

Oh, you use the Session Manager. What happens if you check the box in the Session Manager options, to the title of the backup & restore, "Reload All restored Windows"?

  • Insensitive window of Firefox, firefox itself continues to work.

Since a few days, I've been running on an issue where firefox will sort of hang on. Everything in the browser works normally, I am able to navigate the Web and all my addons will still work, however I am unable to drag, minimize, maximize or do something about putting in place of actual windows on my computer screen, without using the charm bar 8 windows, which only allows me to minimize.

Minimization and maximization later that I am granted a few seconds window where the bar will resume responsiveness and I'm able to drag the window accordingly. Time, however, it is short-lived.

I scanned my computer for viruses found no and have even restarted firefox mode without failure; Start safe mode doesn't seem only to exacerbate the problem under my window for a few seconds to get my browser to a size and a place that I would like all but disappears.

Computer restarted, it is a problem with the secure Windows operating system to 100%. Will reopen if discovered tickets otherwise.
