Firefox retains the same tabs at startup instead of the last opening session

Operating system is Windows XP and firefox 3.6.8. This was fine for a few months. When closing FF it asks to save the tabs and settings and I have ok it. But it maintains opeing the same tabs from a week ago.

Can you help me?

I had the same problem and I checked under preferences to see what system I had put my homepage and he had obtained the value multiple pages that I had open at the time that I initially set my home page. I have closed all tabs, open just my favorite (unique) home page, re - set the homepage to which and that solved the problem. Hope this makes sense and hope this helps someone!

  • 10 PSE opens with the last open image. How to stop?

    This is probably a simple configuration change.  I just downloaded and installed the PES 10 today.  Whenever it is started, he pulls and displays the last picture open initially to the top. I want it to start with a blank screen instead of the last open image.  Can someone tell me please how to do this?

    Thanks for any help.

    The settings for that this change must be made in the system preferences. It is not specific to PSE10. In system-> general preferences, uncheck the option "restore windows when you exit and reopen app."

    Is it possible to extract the last opening date of session of the user via a Groovy script?  I went through the scheme, but I don't have the slightest idea how to begin to know where there.

    Ideally, I'd end up with a list that displays the name of each user connection and date of last connection.

    Try this:

    msg = new StringWriter()

    SS = server. SecurityService;

    FMS = server. HaMembershipService.getHostName)

    Msg. Append ("FMS; Foglight ID; Foglight roles; lastLogonTS; logonCount; statusDesc; logonType; createdTS\n')

    Msg. Append (FMS). Append(";")

    Msg. Append (User.Name). Append(";")

    List =]

    for (secRole in ss.getAllRolesForUser (user.name)) {list += secRole.name}

    Msg. Append("["). Append (List.Join(",")). Append("];")

  • Something has changed with Firefox in the last 3 weeks?

    About 3-4 weeks ago that I started having bad to stay connected to my account I have with a site that offers paid web TV. I've never had a problem with staying connected. I log into my account, I choose a programme I want to watch, say a 10 minutes new cast. After seeing this I click on another program, I would look after and the site says I am disconnected. So I connect again. The play even begins. Sometimes I connect and 10 seconds later I said that I am not connected.
    I tried with my IE11 and have no problems with disconnects. However, I really don't like to use IE but like my Firefox. What should I change in my Firefox to solve this problem? Any ideas? Thank you!

    If you are in permanent mode of PB then all cookies are session cookies that automatically expire when you close Firefox (i.e. ens the PB mode session).
    You have to disable permanent mode of PB to make a website, don't forget you and possibly open a 'new window private' If you want to not Firefox to store information when you visit specific sites.

  • Why are there so many versions of Firefox in the last 6 months?

    Firefox 9.0 publication December 2011
    10.0 Firefox released January 2012
    Firefox 11.0 released March 2012
    Firefox 12.0 released April 2012
    Firefox 13.0 released June 2012

    Where are the notes? I see some of the differences between the versions, but the speed at which they are distributed has me suspicious.

    Mozilla is passed to a cycle of "Quick release" with the release of Firefox 4 and 5. This means that every 6 months, a new version of Firefox comes in the pipeline. https://wiki.Mozilla.org/RapidRelease http://blog.lizardwrangler.com/2011/08/25/rapid-release-process/.

    Basically, what that means in practice for users is every 6 weeks, bug fixes, new features, improvements, etc. that are ready for Firefox are released. If a feature is not ready, it is held until the next version. Instead of having to wait a year or more between updates (such as 3.6 to 4.0) containing new web technologies, performance enhancements, etc. New features are ready for users much more quickly.

    If you wish to view the release notes, you can go to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/, click the Desktop tab (because it most likely will be showing the mobile tab right now). Then click on "What's New". This will take you to a page like http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/13.0.1/releasenotes/

  • Have several saved tabs to reopen on FF6.0 start, but once they charge, it displays the last open tab. If I try to click on another tab I opened, change the url in the address bar, but it still shows the last tab open on the screen.

    This happens if I click on one of the tabs I opened.

    That's why Firefox is useless because I can't show a tab at a time and would have to open it again if I want to display again.

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

    It is also possible that there is a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder.

    Delete the sessionstore.js file [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

    If you see files sessionstore-# .js with a number in the left part of the name as sessionstore - 1.js then delete those as well.

    Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

  • after firefox updated the last time, adobe as well updated, now when some loading sites, I have a program needs you permission to continue which is Adobe DLM. What's up with that and how do I stop?

    The problem started when firefox updated at startup. This screen is what vista puts whenever you are about to load something again. I have already installed the adobe update twice and it continues.

    The Adobe DLM is not required for Adobe products to work. You can uninstall it open the control panel and select Add / Remove programs. In the list of programs, select Adobe DLM (may be listed as Adobe Download Manager) and click on delete.

    The latest update of Firefox screwed up my computer. I had to boot into safe mode then reset two weeks earlier.

    Do you mean that you have had a problem with Firefox 41, or a different version? For security reasons, you should not stay on Firefox 40 forever.

  • Why are there not on Firefox in the last update?

    I've just upgraded to the latest version of firefox. Twisted my online banking web page. Questioned by the banker what version I clicked on the Firefox (mac version) and everything he says is left. It us not about Firefox. A I get just hacked or was it a site too?

    OK I restarted again and this time, all the shows to the top. It is all smoke and mirrors.

  • Can I go back to the previous version of Firefox, before the last update?

    Firefox is automatically promoted to the 34.0.5 do not know what I had before, but I want to go back to what version came before that. I hate what spent my field of research. The only reason why I didn't completely Chrome switchd was the facility to change to a different search option. I could just click the dropdown in the search box and click the seardh option I wanted. Now, a new window opens where I have to click another menu dropdown to access my search options. It sucks! I want to go back to the previous version but don't know if it's possible. Any help would be great!

    You can return to the range of older search like this bar.

    Open Subject: config (typed in the address bar)
    Do a right click and toggle this false preference

    browser.search.showOneOffButtons

    Then restart Firefox.

  • is firefox 16 the last ff for microsoft xp sp3?

    microsoft xp v2002 sp3 operating system
    V16.0.2 FF (nonrepeating not v18 or v20)
    several plugins (some classics, see below) and additional components (noscript, etc..)

    problems
    (1) cannot upgrade v16 to v18 or any more recent version;
    Download and install v18 and restart ff does not have any change, if not reset all options and parameters; I have tried several times in the month;
    (2) Although the automatic checking of new versions is unchecked, to launch it often starts in default mode (all resets, history delete by default start page, etc.) as if being a standalone upgrade/renewal to a higher version;

    Could not find any documentation or contribution, if not for xp sp1 or 2 v12 - 13;

    If ff 16.0.2 is the real last working version for MS xp sp3?

    solution
    What are the solutions?
    If the above mentioned theory is true, what can I do?
    at what point is ff OS?

    Thank you to all the foxes

    No, Firefox is still supported on WinXP SP3.

    If Firefox pass by itself or by the use of help > about Firefox, it is best to download and install the latest version of your self. My advice is to uninstall the old version before installing the new version, but do not select the option in the routine of uninstall to remove the customizations and data of Firefox. By default Firefox keeps all your data and customizations, and the new version will automatically collect your data and your customizations.
