every time when I'm on a legitimate web page and click a link to refresh the page I'm on I also get a toolbar above the open web page and say "Firefox prevented this page automatically redirecting to another page." ALLOW X. "

and another thing that happens is I get a message error every time there is an update of firefox and the only way to update is to delete the current version and do a manual update. But unfortunately these mistakes continue to follow updates.
My Mcafee AntiVirus software says there is no virus or threats on my pc but it blocks suspicious connections inbound network from IPS 10.0.0.9, 10.0.0.121, 204.79.197.200, 125.56.183.54 and a few others, several times per hour every day

Hello
Go to Subject: config in your address bar. Accept the warning. Search for browser.newtabpage.enabled. Double-click the result to the value False. Then, search for browser.newtab.url. Right-click and select Edit. In the box that appears, you can remove the link from your Web site. While FF does not open "mystartsearch.com."

Firefox 40, scheduled to be released next week, will have many patches of compatibility for Windows 10. I hope that will address several issues that you are facing.

Since you seem to be an "early adopter" type person, you want to try Firefox 40 in his last days of tests?

Note: Some extensions is perhaps not compatible with Firefox 40, especially the toolbars now of security which tend to be updated simultaneously with or shortly after Firefox versions.

The following procedure will not remove your settings; don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (A) download a complete Installer for Firefox 40 'beta' of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta/all/ in a convenient location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

Note: to retain the use of your plugins installed, I suggest the 32-bit version.

    (B) the release of Firefox (if any).

    (C) to rename the program folder, either:

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (D) to run the installation program that you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

    No improvement after this installation?

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

When the final version of Firefox 40 becomes available (approximately 11 August), I propose to install this beta because will be auto-updated to Firefox 41 shortly after and unless you like software testing, maybe it's a little more adventure you are looking for.

Firefox seems to have recently developed seemingly random usually do not remember bookmarks, particularly when the pc does not stop correctly. Thank you

If Firefox detects that the places.sqlite database is corrupted then Firefox can create a new database file and import bookmarks from a JSON backup that does not contain the most recent bookmarks (a new JSON backup is created when you run Firefox for the first time on a day), then you may lose the bookmarks in such a case.

You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

This happens on all websites that uses a file entry box to download images/files.

Select a file, and then click "Open" in the file browser window.

Then, firefox seems to hang or take a break for what it is between 5 to 12 seconds, after this time, the name of the file appears in the file input field - you cannot interact with the browser at all during this time.

  • Firefox seems to be ignoring DNS TTL and DNS resolved cache indefinitely

    Hello

Since we started to serve our js and css by CloudFront a few weeks ago, we started to see a problem with Firefox, where these goods would not sometimes be charged.

So far, the only way I could reproduce the problem has been to load our home page in the afternoon, without closing my browser and then refresh the page the next day morning. I know it's pretty extreme, but some customers reported this problem, which means that it happens in both real life scenarios. We have been able to reproduce it on Windows and OSX from our office in New York and Krakow, Poland.

I used Firebug to track down this problem and it seems that Firefox is ignoring the TTL of DNS queries when looking for URLS and caches them almost indefinitely. Due to the constant rotation of the CloudFront servers, after enough time the cached IP address server unresponsive and all applications are abandoned (applications abandoned on the screenshots). That sounds like a plausible explanation? Has anyone have the same problem and has a solution for this?

  • Update of Firefox seems to be frozen. The mouse does not work on Firefox at all.

I updated Firefox when it was asked to do. Now, when loading, the mouse doesn't on Firefox at all. I've seen suggestions to go in the Options or help, but frankly, it's impossible because the screen seems to be totally frozen. The only thing I can do is to open the Task Manager and close the program.

I will note that once or twice, it seems to work very slowly. For example, I would like to click on something and about a minute or later, he would answer a little bit, but again, the mouse never seemed not at all working again.

Do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a new copy of Firefox.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.

    • Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you will also lose your personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

If you keep problems also create a new profile.

  • Accidentally allowed AVG PC Tuneup set up something and I don't know what it was. Firefox seems slower, which could have caused?

AVG wanted to bother with "Site display settings" Firefox or something like that, in order to use Firefox for my internet speed. I did accidentally and Firefox has seemed to become slower (or paranoid). I can't understand what AVG has done, and I hope that someone might know.

Here's a Word to copy Word of what he said:

"Firefox settings for the display of the Web site are not optimal for the selected in your profile or your computer Internet connection.

Our recommendation: your browser settings must match your Internet connection and allow the performance of your computer for you to surf the Internet at the maximum speed possible.

If you apply this recommendation, AVG PC TuneUp automatically performs all necessary optimizations for you. »

So any ideas on what AVG could change?
I will try to provide other necessary information.

  • Why Firefox seems to zoom the web pages by default?

Whenever I open firefox, the browser seems to be enlarged two normal steps.

Why does this happen? Thank you.

If you press command + 0 or use view > Zoom > reset, restores the zoom level to the expected size?

To set your zoom level by default than that specified by the stylesheet to the site, you usually have an add-on. For example, there is a named Default FullZoom Level and one other named NoSquint with this feature. You have either of those installed?

    Hello

Windows Mail problem can occur if the e-mail scanner is running on the system. E-mail scanning is a built-in feature of many security software. We recommend that you disable the e-mail analysis and check the result.

Try these steps and see if it helps.

    Step 1:

Disable the check and scan email if it can help.

    a. make a right click the avast! Antivirus icon on the right or the taskbar on the desktop.

    b. Select stop the provider from the menu, and then click Internet mail.
Note: It can ask the Avast password, please enter the password and click Ok.

    c. click on no, avast!: make persistent changes? window.
Note: unless you do not want avast! run again, click No.  That way if you forget to re - activate avast! manually, avast! He will be re - activate when you restart Windows

    Step 2:

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state, and then check to see if this helps you.

How to solve the problem by running the clean boot in Windows Vista:

But every time I open Firefox, it is just too big for my screen as described above. Uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and was no help at all. Always do the same thing now, so I uninstalled again. I love firefox and never use another browser.
