  This morning, I tried to sync my iPhone with my iTunes 5 because I had made some new playlists that I wanted on my phone.   I just bought a refurbished iPod Classic (Genesis 6 160 GB). The iPod looks and works as if it was new. I connected the iPod on my laptop and iTunes recognizes it. However, when I try to sync the iPod, nothing happens. The load bar that say 'Start Sync' appears for a split second, then goes, and I get the prompt saying "iPod sync is complete." However, nothing synchronized. I restored the setting on the iPod and even made sure that I upgraded to the latest version of iTunes, with no luck. My computer is and has been authorized for iTunes and I even changed the name of my iPod in iTunes, as it was the name of my old iPod, to see if he has made all the difference. Don't know what to do here, especially since the classics are discontinued.

  Some iPod Classic s even if ongoing renovation have trouble recognizing a new computer. The previous owner probably plugged his iPod into his computer several times. Kind of like when you connect your phone to the computer for the first time, the phone and the computer synchronization together.   This happens both of my laptops running the latest stable version of FF is 33.0.2.

  I am also using the latest version of sync using just a password and e-mail address to connect computers on behalf of synchronization, who has had no problems until about 3 hours ago.

  If I get the above error message, and then try to perform a manual synchronization using the sync tool the message will pass to-"Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: the Firefox Sync server maintenance is underway, synchronization will automatically resume." Sync automatically retrying this action. "

  Why I posted here because I tried the Mozilla @mozservices Twitter account to see if there is any failure or maintenance in progress, but have had no luck.

• I already have a sync account, but I just want to use whats on this computer and get synchronized. It woun't let me just synchronize it! I'm not worried about another device right now.

• Trying to reset my password Firefox sync, but reset email is never received despite many attpemts.

  I have a sync account. My password does not work. I had several requests for a password reset email, but none was received. There is nothing in my spam folder. I'm stuck.   Firefox Sync has been abandoned in favour of Firefox accounts - so that users no longer have to worry about the keys to Sync.

  You should be able to reset your password via the page Firefox accounts:
