Firefox updates. at the end of the url
Just recently took place.
Enter url and adds a point
For example, type google.com and it would read google.com.
It will not pages load. Restarting the computer and update of Firefox, but none worked.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

With this new firefox updated. The (enter private browsing) is gone and replaced with (new private window). It is sort of back enter private browsing?
You can drag links to the private browsing window (hover the icon on the task bar for this update of the Firefox window).
If you drop the link on an empty space on the tab bar, then the link should open in a new tab. -

FireFox update erases the original settings and shoots IE settings instead
I had considered moving away from Internet Explorer and Firefox will like our default browser to the company that I am administrator for. If I place a test configuration Firefox user like I wanted and then reconfigure IE to turn it off effectively. However, a disturbing event has consider me otherwise. My test user received an update for Firefox and updating pulled all the configuration information of IE rather than preserve the existing installation of Firefox. So essentially it disabled FireFox as well. I really don't want to disable updates, but I certainly don't want to go around and re - configure each of my 140 machines every time Firefox did an update. We also run web applications must have and relys on an older version of java. Even though I know that the latest version is preferred these apps simply do not work with them. Firefox in his infinite wisdom during an update disables my old version of java break my applications. I like FireFox, but I simply don't have time to micro - manage this piece of software. He must keep all settings for the installation of the original version. Is it possible to configure Firefox to do what I want to do it during an update instead of what he wants to do. I thought the software was supposed to make our lives more easy not bogg down day support run fixing fubars FireFox. If Firefox wants an alternative to IE, then it must be a step better. The reason why I want to move from IE, it's that I don't just have time to deal with daily issues due to updates. If Firefox is an alternative browser why it relies on IE to get its parameters.
BOURNAC
Hi rbowman there, I can understand how this topic is. Looks like you have configured Firefox on one or two computers. It also seems that you went with the normal version of Firefox. When you first configure Firefox it asks if you want to make settings, history, etcetera. In my opinion, what he does after an update too. Fear in the ordinary. If the employee a right to say yes I want that all my stuff from IE, and we know how that worked. Firefox made a version for the admin of TI. 'S called it Firefox extended support. This allows you to manage the settings and all that an admin would have to do without going to a computer. I recommend you try this. Hope that this time, he's better.

After updating Firefox to version 14.0.1 I noticed when I typed in the Web address of my business that firefox was the site https:// version when it has never done this before.
Example, if you type in amazon.com in the URL bar, you will briefly see that firefox changes the url to https://www.amazon.com before be automatically directed to the site normal www.amazon.com .
My site did not have a secure index page and received a message generated by the server until I discovered this problem.
Is there a setting in Firefox to prevent the URL bar by first selecting a secure connection? This behavior occur in newer versions of I.e. or Chrome browsers on a desk.
Any help would greatly be apprecaited
Depending on the solution worked for me. Just put the following in the file .htaccess on your server and put your name field instead of the field below example:
- RewriteEngine on
- RewriteCond% {HTTPS} on
- RewriteRule ^ $ http://www.example.com/ [R = 301, L]

Cannot use the php on localhost command after firefox update
I'm doing a site on my desktop using wamp. And I'm working on a contact email form. Now before Firefox updated to the new version of the e-mail sent fine. Now after the update it is not sent more.
So I tested using Internet Explorer. And e-mail present very well.
It is difficult to imagine how a change in Firefox would affect your PHP form processing...
Can you tell if Firefox fails to submit data or changed any header that it sends?
What is a shipment of normal form or using XMLHttpRequest?

Until the latest update when the url I wanted in the address bar of AutoComplete has been selected, it "accompanies" no more further by clicking on. I must now click the refresh arrow. It won't work even with the return. How can I operate the old way easier?
You can disable this extension in tools > Modules > Extensions and close and restart Firefox normally.

Before that I've upgraded to Firefox 6.0, the URL was displayed in black text.
After the upgrade, it is now showing only the main domain name ( mozilla.com, for example) in the text in black, so that any additional text (like, https://support.) is grayed out.
It is very difficult to read this gray text on my monitor. I would like to make sure the full address is displayed in black text, but I couldn't find any type of configuration setting under Options to change that.
Please let me know if I can change the display of the URLS back to black.
This is a new feature in Firefox to highlight the domain in the URL bar. You can change a preference to do the full URL darkness.
Change a preference:
- type of topic: config in the location/URL bar and press ENTER.
- If you see a warning, accept (promise to be careful)
- Filter: browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled
- in the lower panel, double click on this item to toggle the value false
I don't know if yes or no you must restart Firefox after doing the above to have the change take effect. Test, and if it does not, then restart Firefox and test again.

Then Yes. When I first installed Firefox 4.0, the URL of the links I go to appears in the address bar, then he "updated" and I was wondering where is the URL passed each time I have go to a link. Then he appeared at the bottom left of the screen. I want to deliver to the address bar. How do I do that?

Broken status line - can't see the URL before I clock on them
I use the status line to inspect URLs before I click on them to make sure they are legitimate. 28 on OSX, it would appear superimposed at the bottom of the window. It now seems to be a box of 15 large letters next to the title bar. This is not enough space to determine if the link is legitimate.
Do you use the extension of the status 4 Evar?
S4e intercepts messages to put in the reconstructed state bar, but I don't think it works in Firefox 29 without adding an add-on bar (using an add-on). You could try this extension to recreate the bar add-on, and then back up the control tops out there to see if what works.
https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/the-addon-bar/
Alternatively, if you disable S4E then Firefox should float the URL and other messages on the lower left of the page.
Does this help?

Since when is a "downgrade" updated?

Hitting enter does not work in the URL field. Instead, I have to click on the arrow at the end of the URL field with the mouse. The problem came just after the upgrade to 10.0. I have the Yahoo toolbar & AVG toolbar (I got two toolbars already though). The fields of research both of the toolbars work when you press on enter. Just not the URL field at the top of firefox.
Not a problem, happy that we managed to solve the problem

In my workplace, I use Firefox version 5.0.1 on Windows XP. When you access pages on the Web site http://www.sqa.org.uk (it is used the website of my place of work), pages refresh approximately every 30 seconds to a minute, and a sign # is added at the end of the URL in the address bar.
This does not occur on all other sites, but it occurs also with colleagues who also have the same version of Firefox. I have disabled the extensions, had removed then reinstalled Firefox but the problem just occurred.
You have any ideas?
