Firefox was invaded by the surveillance and I can't get rid of

Crime Watch that puts ads in Firefox seems to have himself installed somewhere, it does not appear in my programs and I used a recommended move but it always shows ads. Even turn off Add ons does not. The last suggestion in the list of the ways to get rid of it was to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, but of course the site just tells me firefox is updated, when I try to download and I need to download it before taking off, it. The recommendations were to use Adwcleaner, then Malawarebytes and HitmanPro. Can you help me please

I know that you were part of my 'standard' list but I'll mentioned anyway because he may have a slightly different approach to what you have tried before...

(1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the surface elements undisclosed bundle which snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Beware of everything that you don't recognize / remember, since malware often uses sounding names important or innocent to discourage you remove. Out as much garbage as possible here.

(2) regular supplement to your security software and previous analyses with more sweeping/cleaning of the tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.

Success?

If the problem persists, you may have an infection of the program folder. To do this, I suggest:

Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

(A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 41.0.1 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

(B) the release of Firefox (if any).

(C) rename the current folder of the program, either:

(Windows 64-bit folder names)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

TO

C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

(Windows 32-bit folder names)

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

TO

C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

(D) run the installer downloaded to (A). It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

The ads are finally?

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

  • \OldFirefox\Plugins
  • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

Otherwise, there is no reason to keep the old folder except research/curiosity.
