Firefox will move behind other windows

Y at - it a solution for the following bug?

Open a firefox window and another under osx (lion or higher). Make sure firefox is focused. Now switch to another space (for example an application full screen) and then come back. Firefox now moves behind the other window.

This bug is annoying, so please help me if someone know a solution.
Thank you

I finally solved the problem. If you create a second desktop computer, another problem occurred: firefox is always on each desktop. If you open a tab on desktop 1, the tab is also open on desktop 2. I wanted to solve this problem and I clicked on the icon of firefox, then in the menu options, and then click Assign votes to zero. This solves the problem where firefox was on each workstation, but also the development of waste and theft.

In short:
1. open a second desktop computer

2. right click on the firefox icon
3 options/assign None

Hello, I know no development or the efforts of mozilla firefox on the windows phone platform porting.
Initially, there was technical and legal obstacles in the app store, which discouraged mozilla to start any developments in this direction. • I used a google account to log in to firefox, will be history / other firefox data be synchronized and perceived by my google account?

I have a school Google account, and I signed up Firefox. I want to know if the story of firefox to before and after signing with the Google account would be synchronized on the Google account.

Firefox private windows, similar to Chrome incognito tabs.

Your private windows do not inherit the Google cookies: they share a separate cookie jar. If you do not connect your Google account in the private window, then it will be difficult for Google to track your activities (for the most part, you will look like a user to random instead of a known user).

I say difficult rather than impossible because if you enable Flash, then sites can store and access 'Flash cookies' which I don't think that Firefox can separate between regular and private windows.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of. Check your modules is:

    • Tools > Add-ons, or
    • > Modules

Remove all the extensions that appear to be suspicious.

I recommend that you try to scan with MalwareBytes or AdwCleaner

    Hello cach_dies,

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • Content of the Firefox window above other windows

    Okay, maybe it's a strange.

Since the beginning of April, I had a problem with Firefox where when refreshes the contents of a tab (for example, on the tumblr dashboard), the content of the window will appear above any other window I opened.

    For example:
Firefox is open, and I also (for example) Excel open with a spreadsheet that I'm trying.

The two windows are maximized, and Excel in short - is on top of Firefox.

Firefox is not visible at this point, with the exception of his bar in the task bar.

Firefox updated then tumblr/echofon/whatever it is which is refreshing.

This is for a reason any causes the Firefox window to be returned on everything that is currently under discussion - Excel, for example - but not Firefox brings into focus. To get rid of what I need to develop Firefox, then return to the program I was using.

Are these ordinary web pages - it does not seem to be specifically associated with media players that write directly to the screen?

Could you try to disable graphics hardware acceleration? As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

If you restart Firefox, the problem is solved?

  • Acer Aspire E5 - 511. move the mouse/Touchpad cursor, but will not open other than McAfee programs.

Just bought this laptop, original thought it was a big improvement on my Aspire 3 year!   Last problem after doing a full scan with McAfee is the touch pad or remote control will move the cursor but will not open other than McAfee programs.   The Windows (bottom left) symbol does not illuminate when the cursor is over it and I am unable to use the windows key + C to get the bar of charms.

For the background, I couldn't install windows updates since I got this computer, two days, so do a scan to look for the reasons.

Thanks for your suggestion Acer-Justin.   Sorted by switching off / reset the keyboard.   Problem sorted update using Microsoft who has found a problem with the update system and then installed Windows 10 - everything looks ok at the moment.

  • Firefox will supports Windows XP after it's retired. Because Google Chrome says apparently it will be. I am happy using Firefox and curious. Thank you!

Wanted to know if Firefox supports Windows XP after it's retired.
Read on the internet that apparently Google Chrome will support it.
I don't like Google Chrome and will continue with Firefox but hoped they will support Windows XP.
If this is not the case, what kind of problems would I have?
I was told that I have a good virus program would be nice.
I have Avast which has worked well for me.
I do not have a personal thing on my computer to worry if someone would try to hack.
Only thing I really do a lot of is to go on my writing groups in Yahoo. But it would be nice to not worry about Malware, threats etc like that and having to run my scans every day.
I'm not at a point where I can buy a new computer, or to afford to go to Windows 7, which is always being updated.
Heard of that Windows 8 is a nightmare and, apparently, a new version that the user is more than friendly Windows 9 didn't will be out til later this year or early next year.
    Thank you!

Hello Debrajean, this point mozilla will continue to support windows xp: www.neowin.net/news/mozilla-to-support-firefox-on-windows-xp-after-microsoft-ends-support-for-the-os

  • Firefox will always be a way course surf the web using a Windows XP computer after that leaves Microsoft support Windows XP?

Windows XP is still my favorite operating system, but Microsoft will give up support in the coming days. If I understand correctly, shortly after which using Windows Internet Explorer to surf the web on a computer running Windows XP (or can) make the computer vulnerable to piracy. It will be the same for the use of Mozilla Firefox on a computer that is running Windows XP?
I think I saw an ad for Google Chrome with that they would continue to support the browser for use on a Windows XP computer. I think that Google said they would keep releasing patches to secure the Chrome. Can anyone confirm that and more importantly, is Mozilla Firefox secure? Also, should I uninstall Internet Explorer on my Windows XP computer when leaving Microsoft support?

Note - I am posting this with a newer computer that works under Windows 7 64-bit.

Firefox will continue to work with Windows XP. At best, in the near future, I could see the required configuration to encountered to Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (obligation is SP2 for now). Security in Firefox patches are the same, regardless of the version of Windows you are using.

Keep in mind that without security updates, the operating system itself will be precarious. What browser and software security that you use will not change.

Internet Explorer is a component of the system, and you should not attempt to remove it in Windows Vista and lower. From Windows 7, there's a way of kind of uninstall from the control panel.
