Firefox will not load some sites Web but IE

After the upgrade to 29 FF, I can't access the addons and several other pages.

Going to addons.mozilla.org or clicking the addons button gives me a bulleted links list.

Try to download an add-on just says "download error".

I can go to addons.mozilla.org in Internet Explorer and download and install manually without any problems.

I deleted the cache and cookies several times and reset the proxy votes to zero.

I watched: config and there was no line xpinstall.enabled so I added it as a boolean type.

I ran malwarebytes and it found nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Joe

The site modules use these stylesheet:

Can load you those directly (if it just look like a bunch of text all run together), or you get an error?

If those loading and you and then refresh the page modules, it get a style correctly?

    Hello

I am trying to solve the following problem...

MacBook Pro with 10.11.3 will not load some web pages (booking.com people.com are just a few). Browser will not make a difference.

Looked around the discussions and tried a few remedies but without success. for example, change the dns data, site reset or 8.8.8.8.8 create a new user and I have tried several different networks.

All the site will load in safe mode.

    Thank you guys!

If they load in Safe Mode, then it is a third-party plug-in or software blocking sites while not in Safe Mode.

Do you have the third-party antivirus or firewall? Do you have any unknown third party plugins or extensions?

Open the Finder, click go > go to folder, copy and paste the following and click on Go

    ~/Library/Internet plug-Ins

This is where your plug-in user. By default, this folder must be completely empty, so anything here has been added either by you or with 3rd party software that has been installed. You can move anything in this folder on the desktop and then try with your sites. If this works, your choice in their folder one by one until it doesn't. Remove the problem and it redownload only if you really need.

  • Firefox will not load a Web site if the assets are missing from the page

Some sites Web page can try to include a CSS or JS asset that is missing. In this case, Firefox 30 seems to hang and the page never loads. This happens even in Safe Mode. Other browsers have no problem loading these pages.

I can give you two example URL, as well as the missing assets which causes the problem, but I don't know if I'm supposed to post links or not.

Please do not take into account. After returning from safe mode, it offers to reset everything and import my data. Once the browser has been reset, well not loaded loading pages.

  • Firefox will not allow a site to work correctly, but IE only

I use www.teambeachbody.com for my training and my business. Firefox will not have menus to appear, and I can't click on the buttons for navigation; However, Internet Explorer * will *. I HATE the Explorer because it runs very slowly, but I don't have a choice at this point. No idea why this is happening or how to fix it?

    Start with some basic troubleshooting.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • Firefox will not load https pages. gives the security warning and will not accept an exception.

I had problems with Firefox and some sites for about a year, and it is located in my laptop. I have no problems when using my desktop at work or my dad's cell phone in his house. Some sites simply returns a page of text style; no html. Other sites give me a security certificate warning and FF will not accept an exception for this site, either by clicking the button or manually enter the site as an exception. Tonight, GOOGLE will not load again! Why, it's trying to load on an https server, I don't know, however. Several other sites have also begun does not not and are also trying to load it on a secure server.

Use Kaspersky, AVAST 2015, ESET, BitDefender or Microsoft family safety? These are among the most popular security programs which have a function to intercept your Internet connections and filter your traffic. When it's a secure site, in order to be able to decrypt and inspect your communications, the software must present a false certificate for Firefox. Sometimes, the software is not able to configure Firefox for this, or if you use the function of Reset of Firefox, the trust is broken and needs to be put in place again.

Unfortunately, the same symptoms can appear with some malicious software.

If you look at the second half of the post of Philipp, you see where you can check the section 'From' the certificate. This usually allows to identify the culprit. Can you take a look and report what you find?

  • From 50.0, Firefox will not load the tabs. How can I treat?

Recently (very probably coinciding with the 50.0 update), Firefox suddenly stopped loading tabs. All the pages get stuck on 'connection '.... "as well as system as topic tabs: support and about: config. Google.com and other Web sites and locations internal intranet do not load.

The first tab that opens at the start of Firefox will sit on a white page indefinitely, not to load the page speed dial 'shortcut '. Not even the tabs system such as topic: support load. If a second tab is open, and the first tab is closed, then the tabs system become available, but websites will always be blocked to 'connection '.... »

This troubling behavior began to appear in dozens of jobs in our Organization. On each of them, except one (so far), we were able to resolve by obtaining: support to load using the method described above and refreshing of Firefox, which leads me to believe there is some sort of problem with the profile.

On a desktop, Firefox seems to work after a refresh, but after an instance of Firefox is closed and a new opening, the new question asserts itself. When you open Firefox under a new user profile, it works once before breaking. On this particular station, I tried uninstall Firefox and reinsert several times without success, as well as facility nightly, which presents the same exact issues as the regular version. I'm stumped on how to solve this problem for the end user. I even tried to run CCleaner.

    Any ideas?

  • Could not load all sites Web after a certain time (blank)

Hi, I had a very frustrating problem for the last 2 weeks. Here's how it goes mainly:

-J' turn on my laptop (or wake up from sleep or other)

-Go on the internet or simply as the computer for awhile

-After an indeterminate amount of time (up to maybe 30-45 minutes), I can't seem to load any websites.

Basically, say I want to go on Facebook for an example; I type the URL, the page SEEMS to load a second but then it stops completely and basically what he did was loading a blank page. This happens with ANY Web site (except the site Internet of Arvato for some strange reason, but perhaps because it is on my favorites.)

Another interesting observation is that when loading Google (since it's my home page, oh, and I'm talking AFTER that it can not load the pages more), throughout the site displays fine except for this image of google relationship with the logo, it appears at all.

Now this isn't a browser-specific problem, it affects all my browsers (IE and Firefox 3.5, Chrome EVEN) both so I think something must be wrong with the laptop. So, I took some actions:

-Retrieve the State of plant (4 times!)

-System deep Scan (with Bitdefender Total Security 2010)

-General cleaning of PC/disk using Microsoft integrated program and Bitdefender

-Registry clean using registry Defense 2009

-Defragmentation using the Auslogics Defrag Disk

None of the above solves the problem, so I am totally helpless on what do I do . I did a reinstall System 4 times and the problem persists. I really need help on this one, please if someone knows a solution it shout!

    OS: Vista SP2

    Antivirus: Bitdefender Total Security 2010

    Browsers: IE8, Firefox 3.5

    Laptop model: dv2934ca

In fact, after some research I discovered that it is actually from Bitdefender 2010, so rest easy, your pc is fine. He apparently took place after a major update in early November.

There is a temporary fix if you want to: when blank pages, open bitdefender and then go to settings and activate the Expert mode. Then go back to settings and uncheck everything under "security settings", do not forget to click on apply.» Then recheck everything BUT Antivirus and apply again.

Apparently, this would fix it but your pc would become vulnerable . Just keep updated your antivirus, until they release a fix. Since yesterday I have not had problems, maybe a fix has been released?

  • Since March 5, Firefox will not load pages except the home page.

Firefox just says 'connection' tab and after thirty minutes the page does not load. I have tried rebooting my computer several times and have uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox. • Firefox does not load the sites, google, or facebook

It is extremely frustrating and has happened for months. Sometimes the loading sites, but then stop working after a few minutes, and then it's almost impossible to get load them again. It hangs just to "connecting" for always, until it's time out or everything just goes to a blank tab. Other sites work, but whatever it is Google associated with such as search, gmail, finance, etc., or Facebook simply do not work.

Try disabling IPv6 (check out the other suggestions as well):

  • Firefox will not allow certain sites to open popups of viewers or login.

    OS: Windows 8.1 (64-bit) x 64 CPU AMD E-300

    Firefox 25.0.1

I just got a new laptop and found this question: when I try to click on the links on some sites to open a lightbox or popup (usually for slideshows or connection boxes) nothing happens. Absolutely nothing, no error message, no loading screens, no 'busy' or 'work' animations, no redirect. I tried the same pages in the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Chrome and that they are working correctly. These sites work on my old laptop with the same version of Firefox and Vista 32-bit SP2 and my work with Windows 7 64 bit computer.

I tried to disable the modules one by one and as a group, has not made a difference. I deleted the cache and cookies. I turned by firewall and antivirus/antispyware/antimalware programs and outside.

Sites with a known issue: "View larger images" Zillow.com, log on to Moviepilot.com, log on to doubletakedeals.com. I don't remember all the others at the moment.

If you use extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) which can block content (e.g., Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that these extensions are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

You can control and manage permissions for all areas on the Subject: authorizations page or for the field on the tab currently selected by clicking on the "Site Identity" (globe/lock) button on the address bar and the "additional information" to open "Page Info" and go to the permissions tab.

You can delete the permissions.sqlite to reset all the permissions.

Start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.

  • Firefox will not load after an automatic update

I am running Windows 8.1, the 64-bit operating system. I think that FireFox automatically updated today and now I can't start FireFox. I get a box of modules are being checked for compatibility. The designation of 32 bits is indicated and just it runs and runs and will not go beyond this screen. I have tried everything I can think of to start FireFox, but nothing seems to work. Help I'm having to use IE and I hate it.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.
