Firefox zoomed about 150%, Site and browser itself

It seems as if the resolution of the browser just got lowered.
All sites seem to be enlarged 150%, and all the buttons and toolbars are also maximized.

I tried:
-Ctrl + 0 to reset a page; Done nothing, unless I have manually perform a zoom, then Ctrl + 0 to 150% zoom
-Failed "all" zoom values all: config (including disabling site specific zoom): no results
-Starting in safe mode; no results
-Uninstall, delete all data and relocation; no results.

I don't remember a specific action that might have caused it (didn't install new addons, change settings, etc.).

Amendments of the code regarding the HiDPI support high-resolution displays have landed at Firefox 22 and later (bug #844604).

You can set the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref on the topic: config page 1.0 (current default value is - 1.0) to restore the behavior of earlier versions of Firefox.

This extension allows you to adjust the font size for the user interface.

You can watch the Default FullZoom Level or NoScript extension if the web pages need to be adjusted after changing the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx preference.

  • I have used Firefox for about 8 years and yesterday lost my bookmarks toolbar. Any suggestions? Yet the bookmarks and it still seems in sight.

I have used Firefox for about 8 years or since first of all, it has been developed and I love it! I especially love the personal bar and he used all these years without any problems. Yesterday, I lost somehow the bookmarks toolbar. It is still listed under view in the Menu. When I check, besides, that area expands a little and when I uncheck the box decreases a little. All my favorites are still there, but not the toolbar. I tried everything I know to try. I uninstalled and downloaded Firefox again and reinstalled. I have restarted my computer several times. I tried dragging the new bookmarks in the toolbar of the address of the site area. Nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what can be the cause and have a solution? I HATE that, without this toolbar. Thanks in advance!

If the menu bar is hidden, then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the call of menu bar.

Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible: "view > toolbars".

    • Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize.
    • Make sure the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are on the personal bar
    • If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then FRY it in the toolbar palette in the window the bookmarks toolbar Customize
    • If the missing elements are in the toolbar palette then drag them from the window, customize the toolbar
    • If you do not see an item on a toolbar in the toolbar palette and then click the button "Restore default" to restore the default toolbar set up
  • If Google is encrypted on Firefox, what about Yahoo? And that, said the do not active channel followed just the opposite. Help, please!

If Google is encrypted, what about Yahoo? In addition, said do not select do not follow because it activates the contrary - at least with Google - all comments?
    Thank you.

The setting of 'Do not Track' is a feature of private life, the effectiveness of which depends on the destination site. If you choose to have Firefox send one request of 'Do not track', it is up to the site to honor this request. Some, some will not.

I don't know what Google does in response to the TSD, but if you are connected to your Google account when searching, so of course what you do are already linked to your account...

About Yahoo, search Yahoo via a secure connection? You might install or create a custom search plugin that uses the HTTPS protocol rather HTTP if your search bar and address bar searches are automatically encrypted. I would like to know if that's what you had in mind.

  • site-to-site and browsing the internet

    Hello

I have a simple question. We have to buy two asa5000 devices and connect them via the fixed site-to-site tunnel. One side will use the ADSL modem in Bridge mode. My plan is to use PPPoE auth on port wan asa. In addition, it is important allow users in each office to use internet (browsing) via the same port/IP, that we will use to set up a tunnel. I recall that it is possible, route them forward to the other and rule IPSec protects only the site to other traffic. Each site traffic Web will not be IPSec protected and will use the default route?

Is it possible, theoretically at least?

will also sometimes tunnel on the side drop ADSL IP is static but the DHCP server (allways Gets the same IP address of the DHCP server)

    TNX

Quite possible, you can have a site to site VPN and use the same IP for Internet browsing.

If he gets the same IP address all the time, so no, tunnel should not be.

    Hi rpitts,.

You have the Firefox menu in the upper left corner? If you do, all you have to do is press Alt to temporarily activate the other menus. Which will give you access to the Tools menu.

If you want these menus to be available at all times, you can go to Firefox > Options and activate the menu bar.

    Hope this helps!

  • If Firefox is set as the default browser and any application tries to open a new window, it doesn't work and I get the error "Firefox is already in running... »

    Here's what I'm running:
Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1, fully updated to 04/10/2012
New installation of Firefox 11. No add-on enabled following troubleshooting.
I am a user has administrator rights
    SAMU is disabled.

For starters, this has happened since Firefox 10 or more. A couple of months now.

I am able to open Firefox. My modules worked (ABP, Flashblock, ABP Element Hiding Helper, IETAB2, Downthemall, Greasemonkey, extension of 4chan) had no problem. Firefox is defined and has been fixed for the past two years as my default browser.

But since about 10 or so, maybe Firefox before, if I opened a session of Firefox and any other application attempts to open a session in a new window, I get the Firefox is already running but not responding do not error. »

I tried to follow the advice of already posted troubleshooting (glance to parent.lock files left [no date], several sessionstore.js [no date] files, create a new user profile, has tried to erase the 'read only' permission in windows 7, but as soon as it is cleared, only read permission back.)

As a last resort, I deleted the Firefox folder, the directory %APPDATA%/Mozilla in its entirety and then used CCleaner to remove all references to Firefox in the windows registry, and then made a complete re - install, without extensions installed right now.

I checked the preferences and have the option "open new windows in a new tab" checked. The problem persists without worrying if this option is checked or not. This problem persists in or out of safe mode, even with the new facility.

    Test case:

    All cases:
Firefox is selected as the default browser for windows 7

Case 1: Log in to firefox. Use any other program that is trying to open a link to their Web site in a new window browser or the new browser session. "Firefox is already running" error

Case 2: Open a firefox session. Right click on Firefox in the taskbar. Select 'open in new window '. "Firefox is already running" error

Case 3: Open a session of firefox. Select the Firefox Menu > new tab > new window. In fact, a new window opens.

This is the only method of opening a new window in the same browser session or profile that actually works on my system. Attempting to open a browser session from the task bar "open new window dialog" or opening a new window while a current window/session is running will not open firefox in a new window or a new tab in the current session. The "Firefox is already running, but is not responding" error will occur every time.

Make sure that you do not start Firefox with the - No.-remote switch or have defined the MOZ_NO_REMOTE = 1 environment variable (Control Panel > system > advanced > environment variables).

  • Why firefox 6 get too slow when navigating through about 15 sites open with coffee in the morning (add-on) not in firefox 5.0.1

When I open about 15 sites in firefox 6.0 and 6.0.1 with Morning coffee add-on version 1.35 there not too slow to browse all the it takes about 30 min or more some time never load sites
but when I do in firefox 5, 5.0.1, or 3. XX is the browsing speed is good and take about 2-3 minutes to completely cover each of them.
I think that there is a problem with several tab navigation in firefox 6 or maybe a security that allows to slow to browse many sites.

  • I've been running firefox for about 4 years now and love. recently I registered in firefox, the blank cover running page, I have it on my list of authorized contacts.

I've been running firefox now for about 4 years and love. Recently, I tried signing and he spends just a blank page. I uninstalled it and re installed nothing helps. I have it on my list for my wall of green fire and we tried all the difficulties that I can. can you please help. I use your program running my websites so much better than chrome or internet explore. attached is a photo of what I experience when I'm trying to sign. than you in advance. Colleen

Hi Colleen, assuming that it is not a problem of external software, then the next few things to try include:

    Firefox Safe mode

It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable extensions, hardware acceleration, and a few other advanced features of Firefox. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

If the menus are usable, you can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works

After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

If the menus are not usable, exit/crash Firefox and hold down the SHIFT key when you start again. A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

    You can load pages?

If you have the same problem, it could be something in your settings or in the Firefox program folder. These approaches test these possibilities.

    Create a new Firefox profile

A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It should also come with fresh data bases of completely fresh settings and a cache folder.

Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run):

    firefox.exe -P

    Do not delete anything here.

Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

Click on the button to create a profile, assign a name like Dec17 and ignore the possibility of changing the location of the folder. Then launch Firefox in the new profile that you have created.

You can load all the pages in the new profile?

If so, this looks like a settings problem. If this isn't the case, it could be the Firefox program files corruption. See the "Clean reinstall" section below.

When you return to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the button to delete the profile. It's a little too easy to accidentally delete your 'real' profile, so I recommend you to resist the temptation. If you don't want to clean up later, I suggest to make a backup of all your profiles first in case something go wrong.

To keep the new profile, and migrate the data, see the article: recovery of data from an old profile.

Or as an interim measure, you can return to your regular profile and try the Reset/Refresh function. This article describes what is preserved and lost in this process: Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons.

    Clean reinstall it

    (1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 34 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (2) the release of Firefox.

    (3) to rename the program folder

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

When you start Firefox, you may need to use the Profile Manager to return to your regular profile.

    Any improvement?

Note: Some plugins recently installed can exist only in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins
